## What is DecoPlan?

DecoPlan is a universal dive planner for open-circuit and rebreather (CCR) divers, built around two published decompression models: VPM-B with the critical-volume algorithm and Bühlmann ZHL-16C with gradient factors.

NO-DECO PLANNER
• No-decompression limits for air and nitrox, safety stop, gas needed
• Repetitive dives with surface intervals, altitude and fresh water
• NDL table for every mix at a glance

TECHNICAL PLANNER
• Multi-level profiles, any number of gases (nitrox, trimix, oxygen)
• Automatic deco-gas switches by ppO₂, last stop at 3 or 6 m, air breaks on O₂
• Runtime table with ppO₂, END, ceiling; depth profile with the ceiling band
• Tissue loading graph, CNS/OTU, gas consumption per cylinder, minimum gas, turn pressure
• Model comparison: the same dive through six model settings side by side
• Contingency grid: what happens 3/6/9 m deeper or 5/10/15 min longer
• Lost-gas scenarios, wet-notes text export

REBREATHER (CCR) · PRO
• Setpoints for bottom and deco, setpoint switching by depth
• Diluent plus up to ten bailout cylinders with their own mixes
• Open-circuit bailout: a failure at the turn point (half the bottom time) with the swim back, or at the end of the bottom time
• Bailout advisor: how many cylinders, which mixes, switch depths and sizes for the planned depth

TOOLS
• MOD, END, EAD, gas density, best mix, partial-pressure blending, SAC calculator

Six languages: English, Russian, German, Spanish, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Free, with no time limit: the no-deco planner, open-circuit technical planning on ZHL-16C with gradient factors (one level, any bottom gas including trimix, up to two deco gases), every safety warning, minimum gas and the gas tools. DecoPlan Pro (yearly or lifetime) adds CCR and SCR, VPM-B and VPM-B/GFS, multi-level profiles, more than two deco gases, oxygen breaks, contingency and lost-gas plans, model comparison, team planning, sync between devices and more, and removes the small ad banner of the free version. At launch everyone gets all of Pro free for 30 days.

IMPORTANT
DecoPlan is a planning tool for trained divers. Every decompression model is an approximation; verify plans with another planner and your dive computer, keep gas reserves, and never dive beyond your training. The app is not a medical device and does not guarantee safety.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.2 — 2026-10-15

New Cave atlas: a reference of 175 places with sources, dated visit information and a «Plans and surveys» section (it never affects calculations). CCR plans show the descent setpoint. When the plan's own gas runs short, the advisor proposes nitrox within your certification where it fits. The free tier counts up to two deco gases, not cylinders. Also from 1.7.1: updated dive log, fixed CCR bailout, deco stops and gas use.

### 1.7 — 2026-10-08

New Guide: step-by-step planning — choose a mode, a short interview (depth, time, GF), a gas fork with three options, a plan node, edits with recalculation. Deco: ICD rule, no air or nitrox deco after trimix, trimix deco at pO2 1.4, GF 30/70 by default, clearer first stop labels, ceiling chart fixed. A new plan starts fresh. Automatic import from Garmin Connect (Android/Mac) and watch status. Profile and Dive log updates. Web and Windows now match the apps.

### 1.6.4 — 2026-10-06

Water salinity is now a number from 1.00 to 1.05. New gas top-up calculator. Planning section: recreational (NDL), tech OC and CCR, gas planning, team planning and calculations. Breathing (SAC/RMV) moved to Settings; the home screen shows the current model and salinity. Wording fixes.

### 1.6.2 — 2026-10-04

New Trips section: flights, transfers, stays and linked dives. Private trip and dive photos with synchronization between your own devices. Improved reliability of saving and synchronization, and fixes to dialog handling.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-10-01

DecoPlan 1.6.1
• Sync between your devices is now free for everyone who signs in — also after «Pro for everyone» ends: plans, kits, the dive log, dive sites and centres, certifications, insurance, your profile and cave profiles on phone, computer and website.
• Signing in stays free.
• Certificate and insurance scans you have already attached keep syncing without Pro; attaching a new scan is a Pro feature.
• Nothing else changes: CCR, VPM-B, multi-level plans and the other Pro features need a subscription after 28 October; open circuit with trimix and every safety warning are always free.
