ChatGPT works better and is cheaper. *2026-07-06* It adds windows and doors, strange configuration and it doesn’t seem to take any text prompt into consideration. ChatGPT would also add the odd configurations but at least you can leverage the prompts to modify the designs **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. DecorAI uses an AI model specifically trained for millions of interior and home design use cases. We’re continuously improving how it follows prompts and preserves room structures such as windows and doors. Your comments are helpful and will be shared with our development team. ### 3/5 — No option for a trial, very basic, can’t develop on suggestions created *2026-07-05* Only had the app a few hours wish they offered a trial, before you buy. Not overly impressed so far. Only produces a single image, no where to save command prompts or build on a suggested visualisation. We are renovating a whole house and I’d like to upload a range of before images, and then get multiple suggestions, provide feed back on images the app creates and build on the ones I like. Das limitiert die App zu höchstens einer netten Anregung, aus der man sich Elemente als Idee rausziehen kann. Aber als ernsthaftes Werkzeug leider unzureichend. Du KI denkt sich Fenster aus, wo keine sind, baut Wände und verändert auch gerne die Größe des Raums. Oft wird er viel tiefer dargestellt. Man kann auch keine Penza eingebe, was ergänzt werden soll. Man kann auch aus keine Fundus auswählen, sondern nur eigene Bilder von Möbels verwenden. Nett, aber nicht wirklich nützlich. **Developer response:** Hallo! This is not at all what I expected. I was only allowed one photo for the entire room redesign and i couldn’t expand to see the detail. **Developer response:** Hello! For this app, you go through all of the steps to input your ideas and desires, upload your photo, then at the very end when you go to generate your design it asks you to commit to a subscription. Sorry, I’m not going to subscribe to something I don’t know if it’ll meet my needs. Bye **Developer response:** Dear Bob, you can actually try DecorAI for free and generate up to 3 free designs every single day without subscribing. If you were shown the subscription screen before using your free generations, please update to the latest version and try again. You dont have to create an account, you also dont have to make a subscription. You can download the app and start right away. If you like it, you can eventually make a purchase to make unlimited designs without watching any advertisement. Unfortunately, we can not offer the app totally for free because we have high server expenses. ### 1/5 — Must purchase Pro to try it out *2026-07-06* It wouldn’t allow me to try it without purchasing pro. It says you can generate an image by watching an ad, then produce an error message when I tried to view the ad to generate my room. I need to see how it functions, before I commit to paying $40. **Developer response:** Hi, we have already fixed the problem. It should be fully working. Short explanation why this happened: We had to stricten our AI model output and input because of a review. This gave a lot of false positives. Its all fixed now and you can use it without any problems. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. ### 1/5 — Unrealistisch *2026-05-26* Fast nur Werbung, da kommt man kaum zum Ergebnis. Wenn man endlich ein Bild hat, ist es sehr unrealistisch z.B. ein Schlafzimmer ohne Kleiderschrank dafür ein ein Riesen Bett, allgemein gibt es hier keine Schränke… **Developer response:** Guten Tag, Sie können in der App explizit auswählen, ob Möbel ausgetauscht oder hinzugefügt werden sollen. Sie können auch selber hineinschreiben, dass das Schlafzimmer bspw. einen Kleiderschrank beinhalten soll. Die Werbung für die kostenfreie Nutzung ist leider notwendig, da es sonst extreme Unkosten durch Serverkosten, etc. verursacht. Sogar mit Werbung operieren wir im Minus. Tut uns leid für die schlechte Erfahrung und wir probieren unser bestes um die Werbung zu minimieren und die KI Leistung zu maximieren. This change is the whole room and does not understand the prompts you input. It kept changing the architecture of my house and had me ripping out wood trim, wood beams, installing wood floors. It’s a mess. Run. There is no support.
