### 4/5 — Great player than Apple Music

*2026-06-01, version 1.1.2*

I love the app but would like to see improved features like Playlists and Favorites inclusion.

### 4/5 — Great player

### 4/5 — JetAudio Refugee

*2026-04-26, version 1.1.2*

Found this after jetaudio stopped working on me. Love that any music files uploaded aren’t tied to the app itself, unlike JA where uninstalling it deleted all of my music. Just wish there was a way to sort by folder name instead of album since featured artists and differing labels causes songs to be separated into multiple albums though that’s primarily an Apple issue. That along with a shuffle play feature for uploaded custom playlist folders would’ve made this the perfect app.

### 4/5 — Great app but needs a couple of features

*2026-04-03, version 1.1.2*

A repeat option for tracks and a proper way to import albums locally (instead of having to share them to the app) would make the app 1000x better

### 3/5 — Very specific use case

*2026-03-11, version 1.1.2*

It seems like a solid music player, if you only listen to music by album. No tracks tab, nor any way to create playlists

### 4/5 — Amazing! But, Playlists?

*2025-12-29, version 1.1.2*

Dude! How could you come this far and forgo playlists? Super shame! Only one star off tho!

### 3/5 — Frequent Crashes

*2025-10-03, version 1.1.2*

Very nice app and plays music fine but crashed whenever I transfer through web, app is then unable to open back up.

### 4/5 — Could be better

*2025-06-30, version 1.1.2*

Can you please add the ability to create playlists?

### 5/5 — Simple yet beautifully crafted

*2025-05-30, version 1.1.2*

An exceptional player! It would be even better if support for embedded artwork in m4a files could be added. Additionally, implementing a file-reference system as an optional feature, rather than copying files, would truly enhance its independence.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-05-07, version 1.1.2*

Great free music player. Thank you to the developer(s).

### 5/5 — Best music player ever

*2025-04-20, version 1.1.2*

I own my records, I translate into flac and I just transfer them by ftp to Decoupled and it’s done

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-04-16, version 1.1.2*

I was looking for an app to play local music on my iPhone and you are probably the only one to develop it.
Thank you so much, very good job

### 5/5 — I love this apppppp

*2025-04-01, version 1.1.2*

Hey mahn ive been using this app since 3 weeks , i like this appp sooooo much , and if you can give me some little updates like making a playlist, choosing favourites, and i love that thing like sliding , you can go all over your albums and i added about 113 albums , and after only i know that the sliding thing only show 100 songs so if you can change that to unlimited, i can just slide all the way and find my favourite albums and that will bee awesome, I don’t know why you stopped giving this app updated , i am sooo happy that i found this app , and thankyou for making this app , and i love everything about this app and yeah , i think you will get this message ,,

### 5/5 — Needs playlist feature

*2025-03-25, version 1.1.2*

Everything is perfect, just needs playlist feature

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Unacceptable to not have Shuffle

*2026-02-27, version 1.1.2*

This app would be perfect if there was a shuffle feature. It is 2026. There is no way to just hit play. You have to go in and select which artist or album, you can’t even hit play from a list of all the songs.

This app encourages you to dump all your music onto your phone, but the downside is, you have to purposely pick what you want to listen to every single time, every single song, and it takes you out of the experience.

You can’t even drive with this safely because you constantly have to browse your library - by artist or album, mind you, or just know exactly what you want to hear.

It’s unfortunately lacking in big ways which is a shame because it has a lot of potential.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-11-06, version 1.1.2*

Unless you want to follow the specific rules that the app developer has set, this app is trash. There’s no way to (completely random example) play music that is already on your phone locally… Can’t imagine why anyone would want to do that.

Zero thought put into actual end user experience.

### 1/5 — No longer functional

*2025-06-10, version 1.1.2*

No updates for a long time. I can’t get any music into the app sadly, so it’s pretty worthless :(

### 1/5 — Aggravating lack of documentation

*2025-03-06, version 1.1.2*

The app plays files just fine. However, I have not been able to make the library work in the months I’ve used it. I have to dig through the files section everytime, and select music one by one to play. I can see on the website that there is supposed to be a more advanced library that sorts by album and genre and such, but I cannot get that to work and there is absolutely no documentation on how to use the app. Unfortunately, as I expand my collection, this issues goes from irritating but workable to absolutely unacceptable, and the lack of public info and website with no info are the last straw. I like the idea of it, but unless the creator takes the time to create any documentation about the app, I cannot recommend this app in any way. I will be looking for alternatives.

### 1/5 — 👎

*2023-01-07, version 1.1.2*

Тупое приложение, вообще не понятно как перетащить загруженные файлы в нормальную библиотеку, чтобы воспроизводить плейлисты бесперебойно🤦‍♀️

### 1/5 — No Art. No Sorting. No Settings

*2022-08-24, version 1.1.2*

(iPhone 11 Pro/iOS 15.6.1) This app literally has no settings. No options to sort, hide or order things like albums, artists, genre. Files embedded with cover art and/or with the image file in the same folder do not appear. UI is drab and boring. I think app developers should be paid for their work, but I think developers that make apps like this when they lack less features, or offer nothing significantly different than the stock app should be explicitly forthcoming in the description about what their app doesn’t do as much as what it does. I mean, it plays files the stock app won’t. This is literally all the app is capable of on my phone.

### 1/5 — Pretentious gatekeeping rubbish.

*2020-02-08, version 1.1.1*

There are no benefits to this app. The idea in the beginning wasn’t even what people look for. It totally goes against what we know music as nowadays. People stream. Get with it or get out. Music evolves and so does the way we listen to it. The description is the most pretentious gatekeeping attempt I have seen in a while. Totally removing the majority of music listeners from the user base, and going out of your way to prove that your app is the best because you don’t allow streamers?

And that’s before you even download the app. The user is expected to download (Or dare I say stream) to their device via FTP or through the web. I download my music to iTunes and then expect my new music player to at the very least sync libraries. You cannot listen to this streamed music offline, which was the whole point of downloading.

FTP is also quite a big security risk blah blah blah you should already know this but my point is not to go in the way of file transfer but the way that it syncs through an FTP client instead of iTunes which has much better support and is optimised for Apple devices.

### 2/5 — Looked appealing but can’t use

*2026-05-29, version 1.1.2*

Downloaded this to play offline music, looks appealing however the one way I’d like to transfer my music is unable. I have the files from my portable ssd, send them to files app and VLC, Flacbox all find them, this app can’t do that and it’s a shame.

### 2/5 — How can it miss essentials?

*2025-06-15, version 1.1.2*

A simple folder playback and a simple play all songs are the essentials of each music player. How to not implement those?
Also, how to forget to implement a compilation recognition? Instead the app lists the album of various titles = compilation, 15-19 times (for each song separately).

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Too good, deserves a sixth star

*2026-08-12, version 1.1.2*

Love it, only thing missing is an "All songs" section and automatic playback queue.

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2026-07-24, version 1.1.2*

Exactly what I've been looking for!

### 5/5 — Awesome sauce

*2026-07-23, version 1.1.2*

Very cool app thanks for making it free

### 5/5 — It needs an option to playback from the actual folder instead of the album

*2026-04-12, version 1.1.2*

I have a few albums with inconsistent metadata across the tracks. I can change this, but it would be cool if I could play tracks from the order visible in the "files" list. Since the app only sorts by album, I have to manually cycle between albums to listen to all of the tracks.

This app is still excellent in its current state (April 2026) and better than others I have access to on IOS, so it gets a recommendation from me.

### 5/5 — Incredible app

*2025-12-06, version 1.1.2*

This is probably the best flac player I’ve used solely for the fact that it’s one of the few flac players that can actually transition songs seamlessly which as someone who listens to a lot of Grateful Dead and frank Zappa this great. The only thing I would like which is just a personal life improvement would be if instead of just labeling albums as “24 Bit Flac” the app would include the kHz as well. Also if on the player itself it could display “Flac 24 Bit 192,000kHz” it would just make things look better but either way this is the best flac player you can get, thank you and I hope you keep working on this incredible app

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-12-05, version 1.1.2*

If you want to listening music on iPhone, this is the best option.

### 5/5 — Basically perfect.

*2025-11-10, version 1.1.2*

I appreciate the simplicity of this app. For PC it can be as simple as starting the phone's FTP server and then dropping in files from the Windows Explorer.
The only issues I've ran into and since solved are:
1. Uploading an album with a .nfo file will crashed the app permanently (this was not on my phone but a newer iPhone which may have some "anti-pirating" software associated).
2. Some metadata must be consistent or songs will be placed in different albums. MP3TAG is a good software for correcting this.

### 5/5 — Possibility to add a playlist function?

*2025-10-29, version 1.1.2*

Great app! And perfect simplistic design. Hope to add a playlist function.

### 5/5 — Great (and only?) proper local music file player

*2025-09-06, version 1.1.2*

I was beginning to think that being able to play local music files or having some sort of interoperable music player was against Apple guidelines or something. I’m happy that there’s at least one app that lets me use normal, local files like back when we still had control over our devices.
While I would prefer to be able to somehow select a local folder to automatically import from (so I can use syncthing) I assume this is something that I will simply does not allow? Not sure. The import file / ftp /WebDAV workaround is acceptable.
Thank you for making this app 🙏

### 5/5 — I wish every app was this free!

*2025-08-17, version 1.1.2*

Plays music, super fast FTP transfer, and its ad-free, upgrade-free, and plain old free!
