There are time limits on most of the events and most of them are not doable, especially since it takes a really long time to get your storage limit built up. Also it takes a long time to get your score up enough to get the next section opened, and I’ve been trying to open the next section for almost a Year!!!! One more issue that makes this game take forever and is absolutely infuriating is that for some reason this game freezes and says it’s not connected to the internet and I have to close it out and start over again, often I need to restart my tablet just to get it unfrozen. And I’ve checked my connection several times and it’s fine and everything else on the tablet works just fine. I’m still playing because it really is fun, but I’m hoping it gets fixed soon because it’s getting to be not worth it anymore. ### 4/5 — Please update!!! Remove Xmas decor!! *2023-02-20, version 1.19* This has been my favorite game for a long time but I feel as if the developers have forgotten about it. There’s so many aspects that are just left incomplete. Like clubhouse races are no longer done. The most frustrating thing is that it’s mid-February and the Christmas decorations are still up!! Not everyone celebrates this holiday, like me. I’ve spent A LOT of money on this game. But it feels like the developers just don’t care. There’s plenty of other farming games that DO care, keep thing updated and fresh. This game is WONDERFUL but is quickly becoming outdated and left in the dust. Thank you for considering my feedback! ### 3/5 — Very generous game, with errors *2022-06-17, version 1.19* Decurse is a lot like FarmVille, but this game doesn’t demand ya bug your irl friends to play it. U can get friends rather quickly by babysitting the tabs to send invites. Also, I got a hefty boost early on for “technical issues.” I got like 500 gems and a lot of coins right from the start. Sometimes the ships/whale will all ask for the same item at the same time or it’ll ask for an item from a machine that u don’t have enough xp/sunshine to get yet. Even if u earned the xp, ya still gotta spend time crafting the machine and then take time to craft each item to fill the request. There’s no way to beat that in the allotted time. Also, the game takes up massive space on ur device, like over 40 secs to load, and I don’t see where it’s doing anymore than my other apps to constitute that. It’s a little suspicious. ### 3/5 — Ugh *2022-06-05, version 1.19* I first played this game a couple years ago when it was known as Sunken Secrets. Why they changed it to Decurse, have no idea but isn’t the point. I really like this game as an overall free game that isn’t a mandatory pay-to-play BUT there are a couple of things that could be better. I’m not sure if this is a glitch because as of early yesterday it wasn’t doing this but the magic stopped being automatically collected. I don’t know if this is a bug or a part of some package that needs to be paid but it’s extremely annoying. Production times, for it being a single item, taking 2-3 hours seems kind of a stretch. But I guess every good game must have it’s flaws unfortunately. There’s a couple other stuff that I could whine about but they honestly don’t bother me that much. I don’t spend hours playing, I mostly let things accumulate and play for a couple minutes at a time. But please let me know if the automatic magic collecting is something that needs to be paid for because that’s just crazy to me. ### 4/5 — Great game, but frustrating on staying connected *2022-04-14, version 1.19* I’ve been playing this game off and on for some time and really like it. It’s like it’s 2 games in one with the panda land. However, lately it seems like every time I go into it, I don’t get very far before I get that horrible message that connection with the server has been lost. I’m at the point where I’m going to stop playing this game but wanted to at least try and see if there was going to be a fix made available any time soon. I know it’s not my internet service that is failing as none of the other games and apps I use have this issue. Please tell me there will be a fix coming very soon. ### 3/5 — Loved this game! But now it crashes every couple min. *2022-04-08, version 1.19* I’ve played this game off and on for years and it was one of the best farming games out there. So much to do and more is added as you play. I would have given it 5 stars, but it constantly crashes now. Every few min some days. I have a brand new iPad Pro and have uninstalled from all devices, rebooted and only had Decurse running, all other apps closed. Still crashes every couple of minutes. I also no longer have sound. So disappointing. I reached out to tech support and they just keep telling me to do the things I’ve already done with no improvement. The game is no longer playable for me. ### 3/5 — No one has THAT much time *2022-03-24, version 1.19* Let’s say for example you wanted to make a wool scarf with no previous inventory items or upgrades you would have to wait 6 hours for the thing to be done with timed whale ms and events this is not with in the confines of reality. Not to mention that now that races are disabled you cant complete most of the museum collections. Every once and a while it says connection lost with the server when I have Wi-Fi and cell service. To make it go away to be able to play the game I have to restart my device. Also friends profile pics take forever to load. They don’t give you enough time for the wizard tower rooms to get all the chests unless you play 24/7 and pay real money to get lots of gems and speed things up. These are all things the developers can fix and I hope you do if not I am sorely disappointed. ### 2/5 — Sad *2022-01-30, version 1.19* I have played this game before on my computer for years then my computer crashed and I lost it all. So I never played it again. Now I saw it’s on iPad and I just bought the new iPad so I figured I would try it again. Everything was going ok, lots of lost connection still, but the most upsetting thing is my shop on panda island has been frozen for over a week and nothing works to fix it. I really don’t want to have to start again since everything takes forever to do! I’m on level 36 and if this doesn’t work, I’m going to have to say goodbye to this game again… ### 4/5 — Time *2021-10-18, version 1.19* I would rate this five stars if the time didn’t take so long. Just for some popcorn you have to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes, yes you can skip the time or upgrade the machine. With the hot air balloon the time gets longer and longer and takes forever to get my rewards and with the whales you have to try to complete the resources that they need with only 11 hours which seems like a lot yet resources to make them need other resources then you just took up a hour trying to get something. With gems you can use them, but once you run out of gems you can buy some (I don’t) or you can try to save up gems that you earn, but that would take forever. This app is wonderful overall and I will keep playing this for a long time! ### 3/5 — No sound? *2021-07-22, version 1.19* I love this game a lot but there’s no sound or audio and it’s nothing to do with my phone being on silent. Also, I saw another review from someone who said the exact same thing. I thought it was just me but now I think it’s the app. There’s no sound or music. I still continued to play hoping one day it would work… But today, I tried to open the app and it says that I’m logged into another device… which cannot be true because I only have one device and I would never log out or go to another device because I have no reason to. So then the app closes. And refused to open. It will not open at all. It’s sad and I’m sad because I did put money and pay for things on this game and I do enjoy it a lot but very very disappointed that the app won’t open and that there’s no sound. If I didn’t put money into this game I probably wouldn’t be as upset however I did so it feels unfortunate. What can be done ? I’ll also try emailing customer service. Thanks 😊 ### 4/5 — Good game! But... *2021-03-10, version 1.19* I love this game it’s fun to play when your bored or just wanna play something different. But there is many things that should get changed like for the whale you only get about 15 hours and it might seem like a long time but it really isn’t for getting the items needed. Especially for the tower! You only have 6 days to clear a bunch of rooms for keys to get for chests, and it takes 4 hours to get a lot of magic (if you have the magic fountains that cost in game money instead of the gem ones) and then after the 6 days are up a IT RESETS EVERYTHING just to get 15 bricks you would need to wait maybe 30 minutes! And now you can’t move anything around every time you try and move something (at least for me) it says “Whoops! You’re playing on another device! Tap OK to relaunch your game.” That’s really irritating when your trying to fix up your island so please try and look into that so I can move something I don’t want on my island! 🙏 ### 4/5 — Wonderfully built game *2020-08-22, version 1.18* This game has some great distinctions that set it apart from other games in its genre. The core gameplay does not differ much from other farming games, but I love the creative fantasy setting, and the unique mechanics of decursing island areas and rebuilding/upgrading structures. There is a wealth of activities and always something to do. And I really appreciate how it’s safe for all ages and sensitivities. The only suggestion I have would be to add more side quests to flesh out the characters and their world more. Other than that, there isn’t anything more I want out of this game! I played it when it was in beta, and only stopped playing it because I played through all the content then available and ran out of things to do. ### 2/5 — Sunken secrets? *2020-08-07, version 1.18* So... I just downloaded this game hoping to have a comparable game after years of playing sunken secrets and being disappointed by its unhappy non ending, And so far, the art and story are both significantly lacking compared to its unfinished predecessor, which only makes me more upset that Sunken Secrets was never finished. 😭 I’m sorry but if you are looking for the same quality as Sunken Secrets, this is not the game, although the play is near identical, “James” is still the neighbor, everything is nearly identical, just with no story and cheaper art. I’m sorry! I know the game developers probably did a lot of work for this game... it just wasn’t what I was looking for. 😭 ### 4/5 — Great Game!!! *2020-05-19, version 1.16.0* I just finished the survey I got when I opened the game... I was expecting a chance to write a bit more about over all experience in the game. I would have given 5 ⭐️ rating if not for the lack of option to participate in the race balloon on my own. Also the past event with the balloons and getting tags... I’m ok with 60, 80 whatever number u guys want to put to get the rewards... BUT .... SO RIDICULOUS when the balloon’s orders are like 12 cherry jams or 12 mushrooms soups when the mushrooms takes 9 hrs to grow and the soups close to 3 hrs. I couldn’t finish the 60 fill in ballon because of the too time consuming orders I got. I started to fill whatever i could on other people’s orders. My question to you developers is : Have you download the game on your iPads or phones and play your own game?.... do that and you will experience what we as players experience. I’m working on upgrading my factories so hopefully I’ll be ready for future events. Cordially. I know this is the same company, and I’m not sure of the story behind it, but I am so so happy to see this game here. Please let your team’s creativity fuel it, not money. Older art, if you have any, would be awesome to see influenced in some way into this game... I just have a lot of love for the original dev team and all their work. This game makes me very happy, and I am excited to delve into this new version and see what there is to offer. Expect an edit with an update once I’ve sunk some hours into it - THANK YOU for not abandoning this idea. —CuriousKat ### 3/5 — Fun game, but impossible to play alone *2020-03-11, version 1.13.0* This game is a lot like Hay Day. The only difference is that it limits the amount of soil plots you can have to a ridiculously small amount compared to the amount of seeds you can plant. Sure the amount goes up as you level, but not enough to supply the demand needed to make everything else. It has a marketplace where you can buy more resources...with only 3 slots that fill randomly, and one slot is also reserved for the very expensive in game money that is hard to get. You can unlock more slots with the same in game expensive money. Your supposed to get said money if you watch an ad that pops up from time to time, but I never got the promised gems, and eventually gave up on that as a possible source of income. Honestly, I don’t mind waiting hours for things to unlock. There’s lots to do as you progress through the game. What turns me off this game is that it is virtually impossible to play this thing alone unless you spend hours cycling through the crops. I am not willing to spend real money on fake pixel money. I am not willing to coerce my friends to play a game with me so they can help me fill barrels to trade with. As a result, I was extremely limited in what I could do in this game. It’s not for me. ### 3/5 — Glitches *2020-01-03, version 1.12.0* Until last week I really enjoyed the game. Game play alignment with sounds and music was precise. Completion of game play actions were smooth and loading between locations was minimal. However, playing the game is frustrating and disappointing. Sounds and music are choppy and don’t align with game play. Excessive loading time between locations and huge lag during balloon and whale filling. Have lost inventory because of glitches related to lag time and been unable to complete quests. Very frustrating! In game text no longer is visible and text is not visible when trying to contact support team through the app. After 4 attempts to use support (unable to utilize birthdate drop down menu) because of non visible text, I decided to post a review. Past experience with Tech Support was quickly addressed, so the inability to access support is extremely disappointing. With no ability to access Tech Support, the compounding lag time , and excessive load time between locations I am close to uninstalling the game. If issues are resolved, I will definitely play again. Disappointed that such a fun game has become too frustrating to play. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not working, Constant crashes… *2021-12-27, version 1.19* I’ve been back & forth with customer support for several days now, & it’s been a total waste of time. Any time I open the game, it may only work for anywhere from 30 seconds to maybe 5 minutes… yep, tried everything, & everything they suggested, too. Then it freezes up & I get a screen that says the connection has been lost…check my internet. Sorry, everything (incl other games) else works just fine. Telling me & others that it will probably be fixed in the next update is the wrong thing to tell people, since their last update was over a year ago. This is a copy paste of part of my latest email from them: “I'm definitely sorry that we don't have a fix for this issue now. This error will need to be resolved in a new update to the game, and Customer Support doesn't have information available as to when a new update may be released” ### 1/5 — Grinds to a halt *2021-08-18, version 1.19* After playing for a while advancing grinds to a halt, increasing happiness becomes pretty much impossible and attempting to becomes tedious. Adding decor costs coins but even after adding dozens of pieces ONE AT A TIME the happiness level doesn’t budge so there’s no way to know if you’re having any effect. There are daily challenges (whales especially) that often require using resources you don’t have like a produce tree or otherwise are entirely impossible to achieve without spending real money which slow progress further. The game also doesn’t indicate how many coins the next productivity piece will cost either. Spending coins on decor makes everything look more cluttered while you don’t know how much the next piece costs which makes the game feel even more tedious and frustrating and the impossibility of completing time based challenges just makes it all take longer and longer. ### 1/5 — Meh *2020-06-29, version 1.17* Now, don‘t get me wrong. I love this game. It is so cool! But personally, I think it is a rip-off because after I was FINALLY able to hire Emily and Otis and the merchant, I never really got to do it...I was so excited! After I reached the level, I got really disappointed. I wish they would just help you, no coupons or gems needed. It takes a while to unlock them on its own. And it would be better if the whale‘s time limit would be 24 hours instead of 12. Plus, getting gems takes FOREVER! Also, the game also forever to load. I wait over a minute sometimes just for the purple bar to be full. You‘re lucky I gave you four stars! ### 1/5 — So much potential but don’t bother... *2020-06-26, version 1.17* And the graphics are gorgeous! Unfortunately the only way to stay entertained with this game is to spend money, otherwise you play for 15 or 20 minutes and come back in a couple of hours. That’s a fatal flaw! Doing anything in the game takes forever. I just opened up a new area and it’s going to take 10 hours before it’s usable. I don’t get to spend enough time in the game to even really care; what’s the point? I’ll still dabble in it for fun but it will never become a main game for me and that’s a shame! Updated: And now the devs are making the game impossible to play without spending RL money. For example, to complete challenges I have to make products that are literally impossible for me to make. My only option is to spend both game and RL money. They no longer care in the slightest for their players... ### 1/5 — Last update was horrible! *2019-12-15, version 1.12.0* I have played this game for a very long time & accepted all of the new additions and chances up until now. And gave it a 5 star rating until now. Making the Tasks into timed Daily Tasks was a big mistake. There are far too many timed things going on at any given time that it is impossible to do them. 1. Whale with all its items, 2. Balloons and all their items, 3. The Wizard Tower, 4. The Race, and now 5. The Daily Tasks. In addition to the Sales Board, Panda Island, friend’s & race team member’s requests, Story Book completion, & any other little things going on at the whale dock. For crying out loud! Even if I played the game 24/7, I wouldn’t be able to complete all of these things in the allotted time because there aren’t enough farm plots are crafting machines that produce quickly enough to do it all! And to add insult to injury, you’ve now made the card table (where instead of using tokens, which were fairly easy to gather from helping friends, etc.), now requires a combination of a multitude of colored jewels, which are nearly impossible to get (except the green ones, which I have tons of, but can’t be used without the other colors). The only way a player can even begin to get even part of this all done is to buy hundreds, if not thousands, of diamonds EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! Sorry, it isn’t going to happen! ### 1/5 — Was good. Then annoying and unnecessary. *2019-08-10, version 1.6.202* At first I really enjoyed this game, but once you get further along everything just gets annoying and frustrating. The events have to small of a time frame compared to how long all the products take to get done. You almost never get enough materials needed to upgrade all of the houses you have built. For some reason half the time I use the mine it never works even though you need it most of the time. The thing I dislike the most is the fact you can’t decurse the island unless you’re on certain levels, but then it takes forever to level up anyway. I was hoping to have a good farming game but it all just became way to unnecessary. Plus the fact that it pushes the socialization with other people is annoying, I like helping others but don’t force abunch of random people to be in a group together. ### 1/5 — Glitches and crashes *2019-06-03, version 1.3.181* This is a fun and cheerful game but I just find it too frustrating. It crashes a LOT. Like four or five times a day. And I have a good phone—none of my other games crash. Plus the timers seem to glitch. I’ll supposedly have ten and a half hours to complete a challenge , I’ll go to sleep, and eight hours later, the challenge is just gone. And I know I’m not sleeping that long—I have an alarm and cycles in my other games that routinely take 9 hours aren’t done running. So it’s the game. It happens often enough that even though I like this game enough that I was playing it for a couple hours a day, I’m deleting it. It’s just way too frustrating to put time and resources into something in order to have to do it all over again, or worse, just lose everything without getting the rewards. ### 1/5 — Ridiculous *2019-05-03, version 1.2.170* I really liked this game and I’d never played Sunken City so it didn’t bother me that some said it was similar. I got notice there was an update and I didn’t have a choice. After clicking on OK it said I had to verify my payment info. It also said I would not be charged anything unless I made a purchase. So, if that’s true, why can’t I put my info in when I make a purchase? Actually, I have made a purchase before the update and planned on making more. The thing is it ran my card to, I assume, make sure it’s legit. It was declined because I made a mistake in my bank account and I haven’t got it corrected yet. So because my card was declined TODAY, it won’t let me play. That is ridiculous! How do children play, they don’t have cards. And, again, why does it require payment info before I’m ready to purchase something?! Also, I was trying really hard not miss loading any balloons or whales but since I wasn’t allowed to play today, now I have. 😢 I turned my tablet off and on to see if that would help but it didn’t. ### 1/5 — Crashing—UPDATE— UPDATE— DELETED *2019-05-02, version 1.2.170* I would love to play this game without it crashing and I lose progress. I’m tired of collecting, completing quests, sending off products and then it just randomly crash and guess what. I have to do all that stuff all over again.. sometimes 3 times in a row before it stops crashing. ————— UPDATE. 1. After my first review, I received an email of instructions. They were really helpful, so thank you. 2. I followed said instructions, made a report of the game crashing. Yada yada. Followed the follow up instruction from the email I got after that. 3. STILL experiencing everything from my first review. Even after all of the said instructions of making sure no background apps are running. 4. My only solution? to do something in the game and then immediately close it out so that it doesn’t crash and I lose all the progress. That or just delete it all together. —————— NEW UPDATE. Unfortunately I’ve decided to delete this game, I loved it. But, the continuous crashing and losing progress was a tad bit aggravating and annoying. I even went so far as to not play it for WEEKS.. no such luck in doing that or with what the developers advice was. I would give zero stars if that was an option. ### 1/5 — Good game gone bad *2019-03-21, version 1.0.152* This game is nice in the beginning. Then it changes. Your expected to sit all day and grow wheat and corn or sugar and all their products for balloons and whales. This in it’s self prevents you from helping others. Whatever it is your making is not available in the market without paying gems. And the cards will never include what you need. The orders of friends will all show needing the same items you need or what you lack. This makes it impossible to do other timed tasks you have waiting. The orders take the entire day to complete even if you play 16 hrs a day and stay glued to your game for almost every balloon. Buy gems and win lol, not me I’m gone. Try Townkins, a much better game. The graphics are beautiful. Its fun and there’s enough stuff to do that I don’t get bored. Tasks actually seem achievable in the time given unlike other games. I play it everyday and it holds my attention for hours at a time. It’s addictive as well, there’s a minimal storyline but enough to give background knowledge. I really like the ability to use the card table to boost production and get times shortened. The club aspect is very helpful to receive items needed. Overall I have no real complaints. ### 5/5 — One of the best games out there! *2022-08-17, version 1.19* I don’t keep game apps on my phone for longer than a few days now because they can get annoying really fast and huge time wasters that stop being fun after the first few days. Decurse is a really cute looking farming sort of game. It’s well-paced and you don’t have to spend forever on it. The only drawback to this game for me is that, every so often, the game says that my internet connection isn’t working. So I have to exit out of the app and restart it. Which is definitely irritating. Nevertheless, I’d definitely recommend this game! ### 5/5 — Absolutely love it but *2022-06-21, version 1.19* I absolutely love this game but lately it’s been driving me crazy losing connection with my internet. My internet has full bars and I will be in the middle of something and suddenly I get the screen saying connection has been lost. I have to restart my entire iPad each and every time this happens. It’s become more and more regular and I have no idea what to do because my internet connection is perfect. If it keeps up I will sadly have to delete the game permanently which is what I don’t want to do because I have so many friends I’ll let down. If anyone has suggestions please let me know because I would hate to lose another game that I have worked so hard to level up in. ### 5/5 — I’ve been playing for years *2020-10-26, version 1.19* Wondering when the server will be back up again 😖 Certainly not a game for those who want everything done NOW!!! The IT team is always quick to respond, quicker than I am anyway. Every now and then they get a glitch but they fix it and reward you for your patience. You level up fast if you keep up with growing crops and producing items. Yes it takes time to update the various houses, but to me this makes the game worth playing. I don’t want to be leveled out way too early, would make the game boring. I must say of all the games from different developer’s this team is amazing. They were having issues for a couple of weeks (it happens to all), then I receive a message with a very large amount of coins and gems saying thanks for continuing to play. Amazing, I’ve never seen a developer do that much for its players. 5 stars in my book. Keep up the good work. ### 5/5 — Requests/suggestions *2020-08-06, version 1.18* I really like this game, but I do have a few suggestions. This is the first time I’ve ever done this, if that tells you that I do like this game and want to keep playing it. More ways to get Happiness, ex buying decorations. I have no reason at all to buy decorations but I’m still a thousand low on Happiness to get a chocolate tree. I don’t mind the speed of upgrading the houses/getting those materials, but that being the only way for Happiness is annoying. More time for the events (from the ship on the east). I don’t understand how people can finish or get all the rewards in four days. Add “add queue slots” to the upgrades in the Laboratory!!! Upgrading the Panda shops adds baskets, should be able to add queue slots. Or at least make the slots cost way less. 40 gems for a third slot, when free gems come in 3s and 5s isn’t great. That’s all I can think of right now but I hope you see this! ### 5/5 — Video. *2020-04-09, version 1.15.0* There is a bug with the video. I have watched tons of videos. I was so close in finishing up my crops that I needed. ### 5/5 — Cute Game but have many problems *2020-02-07, version 1.13.0* I like much the game and the concept of this game .- I really start enjoy it a lot until I start having problems with the game . On my personal point of view the game is : (to New ) and still building much of it so that make a caos on bugs and much glitches , lagging and some times bad function. I am on the almost last level 47 and the game just have 50 levels . Not more .. i level 47 and never have in my game the lucky 🍀 balloon who floats over the tavern.. All players have it in my co op but not me .. I send few emails and emails respond me not all players have it and the balloon come randomly for some .. hmm 🤔 really ? I maybe the only one ☝️ in the hole platform ? Just wonder ? ### 5/5 — Great game, lots to do! *2019-11-30, version 1.11.235* I was a fan of sunken secrets so this game is very familiar and fun to me :) the only thing I would say I dislike is there is sometimes TOO much going on. It’s hard to decide what to work on. The tower? The other island tasks? The whale? The Balloons? Any side key events? You only have so many resources and when you have like 10 things to try and accomplish it’s a bit overwhelming but Once you figure out what you want to focus on it’s really fun and something that can keep you entertained throughout the day because you have to wait for crops to grow and items to be made. ### 5/5 — Humm... *2019-05-20, version 1.2.170* I’m kind of addicted to this game even though what another reviewer said about Storage is Totally True and feels manipulative. I’m on level 21 and the game froze while watching an add with a black screen and No Way back to meet my Whale lol ... pretty frustrating after spending $10 on this game yesterday... I’ve only spent $8 on Klondike and have played for months ... every day! ... No glitches ... no issues... I’m going to uninstall and reinstall and hope that The Developers “have storage” of my saved game as they should ... So right now it’s love/hate with this game. UPDATE LOL! The game reinstalled right where I was at... I just lost the 1/2 hour of prep time I needed for my whale... but it’s A Game lol ... I can deal! As for the storage... I have to say It Was extremely satisfying to get to 190 storage without having to use gems!!! ... The storage is doable... it just makes the game More Challenging ...
