## What is Deep Range IQ?

Reps don't fix your shot. Feedback does.

Deep Range IQ is an on-device shooting coach that watches every rep and tells you what to fix in between shots.

Set your phone on a tripod to watch you shoot. Take your normal jump shot. A tone confirms the app saw your release, and while you chase the ball down it speaks the single biggest correction in your ear. Clean shot? A quick positive tone, so you can lock in what worked. Then you shoot again. The whole loop keeps pace with the rhythm you already practice in.

HOW IT WORKS
• Set up the phone: tripod to the side, framed head to feet. The side view is what lets it read your mechanics.
• Shoot your shot: take your normal jump shot; a tone confirms the release.
• Hear one correction: the top fix is spoken while you go get the ball.
• Adjust and repeat: apply it on the next rep, until you tap Stop.

MEASURED TO THE DEGREE
Every shot is checked against the same standard elite shooters hit:
• Set Point: your elbow angle at the top before you move to release the ball; the classic shooter's "L"
• Launch Angle: the arc your shot leaves on; too flat clanks, too high moons
• Knee Load: how deep you load your legs on the dip to get power for your shot
• Arm Extension: how fully you finish the follow-through

ONE CORRECTION, NOT A SPREADSHEET
Most tools bury you in numbers after the session's over. Deep Range IQ ranks every flaw by how far out of range it sits and speaks only the one that matters most in under two seconds from release to the words in your ear.

FORM FIRST, ON PURPOSE
It coaches your motion, not your makes. There's no basket in frame and no makes or misses to track; just the mechanics that make shots repeatable.

YOUR REPS STAY YOURS
Everything runs on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework. No footage is uploaded, nothing is streamed to a server. No account, no sign-in, no cloud. Open the app and shoot.

WHAT YOU NEED
• An iPhone and a tripod
• Headphones for the audio coaching
• A side-on angle to your shot
• A rack of shots to put up

Best on a recent iPhone as all pose tracking runs on-device in real time; on older iPhones the camera may process at a reduced frame rate, which can lower coaching accuracy.

## Key features

- Real-time shot analysis
- Audio feedback on form corrections
- On-device processing
- Focus on mechanics, not makes
- Measures set point, launch angle, knee load, arm extension

## Frequently asked questions about Deep Range IQ

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-21

Sharper shot detection: your shots register more consistently and each release is pinned at the right moment.

Deep Range IQ now keeps its attention on your shooting hand instead of occasionally following your guide hand, so Set Point, Launch Angle and Arm Extension are measured on the arm that actually took the shot.

Rebounds and gathers are also less likely to register as a shot.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-31

You can now rate Deep Range IQ from the About screen.

Plus bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements.

### 1.0 — 2026-07-30

No release notes.
