Deep Simplicity Core is an equity-research assistant built for investors who want clearer thinking, better questions, and a disciplined view of risk. The language model runs on your iPhone. Your imported documents, photos, conversations, and document analysis are processed on the device and are not sent to an external AI service. For current or reference information, you can optionally enable Research Tools. When enabled, the app may send search terms, company names, or tickers to public sources such as SEC EDGAR, Wikipedia, DuckDuckGo Instant Answer, and a delayed share-price service. These tools can be switched off at any time. With Research Tools off, the app uses only its local model, on-device materials, and built-in investing corpus. MORE RELIABLE TOOL USE When Research Tools are enabled, substantive questions use an available source instead of relying only on model memory. Explicit search requests are handled directly, attached documents are searched first, and failed lookups are reported plainly rather than replaced with invented data. BETTER INVESTMENT REASONING Responses now lead with analysis instead of buy, sell, or hold verdicts. The app more consistently examines business quality, downside risk, permanent impairment, uncertainty, and what should be checked next without predicting market direction or giving personalized recommendations. MORE COMPLETE, CONTEXT AWARE REPLIES Answer length has been increased to reduce replies ending mid-sentence. Conversation memory now supports follow-up questions such as “What about its margins?” while keeping remembered company context temporary and on device.
