This app is dead

The live feed is mostly spam for escorts. The mapping feature doesn’t work. There was such high hope for this app and computer combo. The community is dead.

Lacks Cris computer support

Supports very few dive computers and hadn’t been updated in forever. No support for newer systems like scuba pro HUD. Incredible cumbersome website driven manual import. Greasy that importing from subsurface is sort of an option but way to keep synced, with limited computer support it’s a mess trying to make this a primary application. Lack luster FB export (doesn’t use nice dive profile image). There’s a lot of potential here this could be an amazing application but it’s like they just abandoned it halfway through.
I can’t fathom why they just don’t implement libdivecomputer open source support so that they can have a useful level of modern dive computer import support…

Crashes right out of the gate

Bluetooth sync to my Perdix no problem. Importing crashes at 100%. No logs found. Importing crashes the app. Ohh well!

Not industrial level software

There are quite some bugs in the app. When connected to a computer, it always shows error although I can keep using it. When I modified an attribute such as dive mode (scuba/free) or entry mode (shore/boat), other attributes changed due to the front end UI misalignment. When I input the tank pressure using PSI, it automatically change to another value possibly due to conversion rounding, e.g. when I put 1500 psi, it changes to 1496. Hardware is solid but the corresponding cloud backend is like a school project.

Ads are horrendous

Haven’t used the app as intended yet, but at first glance the amount of ads I’ve gotten for pr*stitution and other s*x services is crazy. Am I trying to stay connected with fellow divers or am I supposed to “connect” with pr*stitutes? Seriously. This is bad. The app 1000% needs to have a filter on advertisements. Maybe instead of having pr*stitutes begging me to travel halfway across the world, have diver related advertisements. Dive computers, new bcd’s, regulators etc. The app is just repulsive and I wish socializing with other divers was less vulgar.

EDIT: The app is rated 4 years or older. Not a good look.

Sync doesn't work!!!!

The app doesn't sync with my diving computer :( Tried uninstall/reinstall the app and the problem remains the same. Is this due to the iphone software upgrade? Any solutions?

All adds!

I downloaded the app, and all I saw was a cap ton of adds! Ranging from food services to escorts!!! Can’t believe this app was so highly rated!

Keeps crashing after last update

App is ok.
However have not used it in a year. When I started again today, the app keeps crashing. Running it on iOS 14.1 on iPhone XR.
Tried restarting the phone as well as deleting/reinstalling the app.

Update:
Developers have fixed the issue. Computer can again be connected to my phone. Changed my rating up.

App crashes on iphone

After installing IOS 14.0.1 on my iphone Xs, the deepblu app crashes. I can no longer download dives from the computer to the app. It is now useless. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app. No fix.

**** App had been updated and works great. Back to having a great computer that links with my iphone app. ****

Hi Whig73 The recent 3.5.6 version release has addressed the compatibility issue with iOS14 and should resolve the issue you're experiencing. Please update the app and let us know, thanks.

No support

If you are thinking on getting a watch that only uses Deepblu.... please avoid at all cost. I’ve been waiting for an update for more than 5 months. My watch won’t automatically load my dives and the Deepblu team has been working for months now without a result

Hi Nosbeto The compatibility issue with IOS14 has been fixed. Please update your app to the latest 3.5.6 release. Thanks.

Do not update to iOS 14 yet

Have been using this great app for logging my dives, even though I knew better, I updated my phone, two days before a scheduled dive.
At no fault of Deepblu, the new iOS 14 update is causing the Deepblu app to crash. Hopefully Deepblu can push out an update to make the app compatible soon.
Highly recommend the app otherwise.

Best dive log app

This is by far the best dive log app I use

Terrible user interface

Using this as an app to log dives is so tedious. It takes forever to import all your dives in it’s ridiculous!

Submission failed

The app worked fine for the past two years but mid every time I try to post an error message appears: Submission failed. Try again later. Well one been trying again later for the past week and no luck. And nowhere on the app is a way to contact them for help. Don’t look forward to logging my 80 dives on a new app.

Great concept, wished it was reliable

App has some strengths but I’m spending more time than is reasonable dealing with buggy ness of the app and the fact that adding a new dive spot is nearly impossible. I’m probably going to move everything over to an excel spreadsheet. I have manually enter everything but it will actually save me time over using this app.

App isn’t ready for prime time (Cosmiq+ dive computer is good though)

Review of the APP (not the dive computer, which I mostly like.)
The concept is awesome. The execution is nowhere near ready for prime time. It seems like they’ve invested a lot in ways to advertise to you, but not actual usability with the Cosmiq+ computer. The dive log features are buggy, not intuitive, not customizable, not user-friendly, frustrating, lose data, and much of it doesn’t work at all if you don’t have good cellular service. I’ve used it for 29 dives so far in Raja Ampat and North Sulawesi, and I had to resort to paper logs because I couldn’t trust the app to retain my information any time I didn’t have reliable, strong cellular. I haven’t seen a single app update since I bought the computer, which is not encouraging. I’d be happy to write a detailed usability review for the developers. The concept is awesome and I’d love to see this platform succeed. It’s just not there yet.

Shearwater Perdix AI will not download dives

At 90% of the download, an error message occurs. Developer have been notified.

Response from developer

Hi there, we're working on a Shearwater fix at the moment. Thanks for sharing your experience, if you load the latest update, 3.2, this problem may be fixed for you.

Great Scuba Diving App

Very cool app! Extremely informative when researching dive destinations. And great community to discuss any aspect of diving.

Great App
