## What is DeepBreath?

DeepBreath guides you through Wim Hof-inspired breathing cycles — systematic rounds of controlled hyperventilation followed by precise breath retention — designed to boost energy, sharpen focus, and build stress resilience.

HOW IT WORKS
Each session consists of configurable rounds of deep, rhythmic breaths followed by a breath-hold (retention) phase and a brief recovery breath. The app tracks your retention time each round and shows your progress over time.

KEY FEATURES
• Configurable rounds (1–10) and breaths per round (20–50)
• Real-time animated breathing guide with phase cues
• Haptic feedback synced to your breath rhythm
• Ambient sound options: Silence, Rain, Binaural Beats, Pink Noise, Tibetan Bowl
• Session history with charts (daily count, retention trend)
• Structured programs: 7-Day Beginner, 14-Day Intermediate
• Siri integration — start a session hands-free
• Daily reminder notifications

SAFETY NOTICE
Controlled hyperventilation causes real physiological changes including reduced blood CO₂, lightheadedness, and tingling. Always practice seated or lying down. Never practice while driving, in water, or standing. Consult a physician if you have cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, or are pregnant.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-06-22

Polish and readability improvements. The on-screen guidance during breathing and breath-holds is now crisp and easy to read, and your session summary is clearer than ever. Plus refreshed App Store screenshots showing the new look.

### 1.2 — 2026-06-16

A beautiful new look — refreshed home, session, and settings screens. Plus the complete Wim Hof flow: after your breaths, hold your breath as long as you like (the timer counts up), tap 'I need to breathe' when ready, then follow the fixed 15-second recovery hold.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-14

Deeper, paced breathing. Choose your inhale and exhale length (3-10 seconds each) and watch the circle expand as you breathe in and contract as you breathe out. Pick 30, 40, or 50 breaths per round, with a fixed 15-second breath hold after each round. Plus stability improvements.

### 1.0 — 2026-06-11
