### 4/5 — Do the job

*2026-07-23, version 2.9.2*

When I annotate a score and then add it on a setlist, the annotations don’t follow so I need to redo it.

### 2/5 — Can no longer turn pages with new update

*2026-07-18*

I’ve been using GigBook for years without incident. Last nights gig was fine. Tonight…panic right at showtime! After the latest update, I can no longer turn pages within a set list, either manually or with the page turning pedal. I had to close every song and go back to the list to open the next song. This was VERY distracting and really hindered the flow of my gig since I spent way too much time poking my iPad after every song! If this isn’t fixed right away, I’m ditching GigBook!

**Developer response:** Dear Panic at showtime,

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience. As performers ourselves we would have been frustrated.

We put out a fix for this bug two days after this review as so many helpful users reported it using our new "Report a Bug" feature under the gear icon (the most helpful thing a user can do), so hopefully you downloaded it.

In fact a few days later we put out another update, 2.9.2 taking care of the file sharing bug.

We are committed to modernizing, solidifying Gigbook to be gig worthy and add enhancements like the new full back up of Gigbook to a single file, enhanced file sharing choices outside of Dropbox with any file sharing app on your iPad (Drive, iCloud etc..), and the new annotations features.

We will be adding more and more in the near future.
We hope you come back.

### 2/5 — The app is broken again with no support

*2023-11-26*

Like many of you, I’ve become reliant on some apps for my day to day work. Gigbook is one. It was a four star app. This app has always been how I access my sheet music and connect to corresponding audio. As of the last Couple of iOS updates, the app has a few big problems. The biggest, for me, is that it crashes if I try to connect an audio track to a sheet. The other problem is the worst: no support. No replies. No updates. Which is awful. This was the case for a while. The app was abandoned and then, thankfully, picked back up and cared for. This no longer seems to be the case.

DeepDish: if you still exist and are reading this; please do not abandon this app and please fix the big bugs.

Latest bugs as of 11/23 iOS update:
*Can no longer input time signature. GUI turns white.
*Can no longer connect songs to Apple Music tracks. Existing song connections require tapping play (which does nothing) then stop and then play again.
*Super bookmark is busted. When trying to super-bookmark a page from a collection, the selected page can vanish and the screen suddenly flips to the end of the book collection.
*When trying to add songs to collection from “recently added” the most recent song is hidden because the list hides the top song.

### 3/5 — Great for the basics; needs an update

*2023-05-31, version 2.8.1*

i’ve been using this for years and it has worked mostly well:
-syncs great with dropbox
-easy to learn and read menus and options

things i want it to do:
-transfer to my other devices
-transfer to another use without wifi
-stop crashing when trying to link audio samples to a chart
-read a document other than a .pdf

please update the bugs and features and i’ll gladly return!

### 1/5 — No longer Works

*2023-03-31, version 2.8.1*

Had used this app and liked it for years. Be aware that it does not work on new M based iPads. Very disappointed and to switch to forscore

### 1/5 — Bitte die Funktion auf iTunes zuzugreifen reparieren

*2023-02-18, version 2.8.1*

Warum kann man keine Songs mehr hinzufügen? Man wird aus der App geworfen wenn man über Details auf iTunes zugreifen möchte

### 1/5 — No longer functional

*2023-01-06, version 2.8.1*

I had used this app since it’s inception and hate to leave a bad review but it does not work on my new iPad. I am assuming since it hasn’t been updated in years that the company, no longer exists. I am switching to forscore unfortunately

### 4/5 — Excellent

*2022-08-19, version 2.8.1*

I have been using this app for many years and, contrary to the reports from others, has worked almost flawlessly all this time. I am a gigging musician and the ability to catalog, classify, organize and easily access my pdf charts, is priceless. I can make set lists which are really simple to manage on stage. I can email to myself and band members the set lists, with accompanying notes. I manage and import my chart files using Dropbox to store the files although there are other options. 4 stars rather than 5 because nothing is perfect but this app has never let me down. 4.8 stars would be a better rating

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2022-03-27, version 2.8.1*

We've been using GigBook for quite a while now and can't fault its ease of use and functionality. The new email function is just what we've been asking for and is intuitive and easy. Now one person in the band can make changes and everyone gets an exact copy even annotations! Lovin' GigBooks! Mike Onn

March 2022:
Its been 4+ years since Deepdish has done any work in this app.
I still use it every gig and rehearsal without a hiccup but im concerned by the lack of support and updates.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Help!

*2026-07-21, version 2.9.1*

You’ve changed the format for uploading from Dropbox so that it’s no longer legible. WTF!

### 1/5 — Verschlimmbesserung nach anfänglicher Freude

*2026-07-20, version 2.9.0*

### 1/5 — Crashes a Lot!

*2026-03-06, version 2.8.1*

Very nice app, but crashes too much to trust it on a gig.

### 1/5 — No Support

*2026-01-20, version 2.8.1*

Has been great except that I cannot email scores and can’t get help with that function. There is no one out there!

### 1/5 — Crashes a Lot!

*2025-06-16, version 2.8.1*

Very nice app, but crashes too much to trust it on a gig.

### 1/5 — app Support

*2024-11-09, version 2.8.1*

was not able to find app support contact or contact information

### 1/5 — No full screen for iPad Air

*2024-06-14, version 2.8.1*

Used for many years successfully but upon upgrading to iPad Air - GigBook does not use full screen and there is no way to get support from the forum as there is no way to become registered. Seems to be no longer supported. Moving on.

### 1/5 — Skip this and get iGigBook

*2024-04-02, version 2.8.1*

This app hasn't been updated in years and the problems I've been having will probably never be fixed. I’ve moved on to iGigBook which has many more features with regular updates and very helpful technical support.

### 1/5 — No longer useful

*2023-06-13*

New review
No longer useful. No one is monitoring the app!
With the new update from apple, almost nothing works!
Can’t put charts into set lists or folders, can’t even email sets.
Click on settings, and help, the app closes.

I’ve used it for years. Looks like I’ll have to go to forScore.

Very frustrating!

I've used GigBook for a few years now and love the app. I play several instruments and in 2 bands and do a solo project as well. This app can take your pdf files and you can put them into as many folders/binders and set lists as you need. Its easy to navigate to find songs or even collections/books that you download by just clicking from your iTunes account. Easy and handy as well. You can reverse pinch and make the page bigger, ad highlights or annotations. I use it with my iPad and don’t go to any practice or jam without it. Plus, the admin is very responsive to input! Highly recommended!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Reliable

*2026-08-04, version 2.9.3*

Easy to use. Great customer service.

### 5/5 — Dropbox Assist

*2026-08-03, version 2.9.2*

Love this app! This is the reason I bought my 1st iPad. Had to get rid of all those lyrics binders. Very timely help on fixing my access to Dropbox. We are good to go!

### 5/5 — Recommended

*2026-07-28, version 2.9.2*

I have used DD GigBook for many years as my default pdf music chart file system on my iPad. Gone are the days of paper charts, pegs and attached lights blowing around on music stands. It’s easy to create set lists for a gigging jazz musician and amend the charts and make notations on the go. Good for sharing sets and charts with band members. The app and ipad allows easy page turning on the go. It has been very stable over the years and support when needed has been helpful and quick.
Highly recommended. As for future developments it would be good to have a direct camera link in the app where images could be automatically turned into PDF files and added to the charts.

### 5/5 — Terrific app for musicians - Five Stars

*2026-07-28*

I’ve used Deep Dish’s Gigbook on my IPad for quite a few years. It’s very reliable and not complicated to use. You do have to add music that is in PDF format. Once you do that, you can create set lists for any type of gig you might be playing and will save them, until you decide you don’t need them anymore. The program has a very good annotation feature that allows you to make personal notes on the scores. It also has a metronome feature that keeps a “visual” tempo. That are many other features that are included. I highly recommend it, and have, to many of my friends.

### 5/5 — A+ Experience with solution to a problem

*2026-07-23*

Problem downloading after iPad update. Customer service gave me the solution next day. Have been using GigBook for years. Simply does what it is suppose to do. Has been a reliable tool I count on for every rehearsal and gig. Never let me down.

**Developer response:** Dear PoppyCheeks,

Glad to have helped!

More to come!

### 5/5 — Love this App!

*2026-07-21, version 2.9.1*

I’ve used this app weekly for 10+ years and love it. Does everything I require. Fast technical customer service too!

### 5/5 — Welcome Back!

*2026-07-16, version 2.9.0*

I’m so glad GB is back with an update! It’s one of the best gigging apps around for REAL gigging musicians. I’ve used it for years and dreaded losing it due to no updates to keep up with iOS. Welcome back!

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2023-12-07, version 2.8.1*

All of a sudden I can add scores saved to Google-Drive! Thanks a bunch. Dropbox has gotten too expensive to upgrade.

### 5/5 — The Best

*2023-12-02, version 2.8.1*

Deep dish GigBook is the best PDF chart management app available for gigging musicians. They should charge a subscription… it’s worth much more than $10 for life!

### 5/5 — Best for sorting

*2023-09-04*

Best music score arrangement app I’ve come across. Very easy to add, delete, re-arrange the order of songs ect. After downloading to WORD and editing, set to landscape and save as pdf to Dropbox.

Now the bad. Dropbox is way too expensive to increase once filled. I wish DD GigBook would allow iCloud or google drive to work on the app!
