I just couldn’t get on with it though: the main annoyance was that every time I wanted to listen to music, the app had lost my current playlist so I had to search for it again, even if I hadn’t actually closed the app - this happened with earphones, and in the car, didn’t matter whether I used Bluetooth or Apple CarPlay, the same thing kept happening. It’s a real shame, because the user interface is good, there’s a great selection of music available, and the Flow feature is excellent. I can only Sort my liked songs. This is annoying because sorting keeps it deterministic. The app can be slow as well, but it is improving with each update. Otherwise I love the monthly playlists and the quizzes. However, often when I’m listening to my playlist (that I’ve downloaded) the shuffle button plays the same songs when it has 167 songs to choose from. It’s infuriating. Please fix it. I really love Deezer, but this glitch makes me want to switch streaming services. So, I received what looks like an AI response to the above with an answer that had nothing to do with the problem. I couldn’t even see what the app has to offer because of the mind-boggling decision of the app creators to refuse new users access until they fill out surveys. I should not have to click through numerous welcome slides, numerous tutorial slides, AND THEN be forced to select *ten* artists to “begin the experience.” Heads up, some people want to know what they are signing up for before, you know, actually signing up. Make welcomes, tutorials, and absolutely anything else other than “play music” optional for an app designed solely to play music. Save your time, save your frustration, and keep it moving away from this app. ### 1/5 — Terrible Experience, Waste of Money *2026-08-13, version 11.20.0* I didn’t like Spotify cause it’s unethical so after paying to transfer all my music I got the cheapest $14 membership and whenever I try to search for songs on the app it says error loading which I know isn’t a connection issue cause I’ve tried other WiFi’s and the internet is good. The ability to import all my playlists and most importantly being the only streaming platform that seems to be doing something about the AI slop that has taken over other platforms. THANK YOU for the Transparency. I’m telling everyone I know about Deezer. It is important to me that I support 100% human made art and this is the only streaming service that gives users the ability to do that. I just wish there was a toggle so that I could have 0% AI flagged content show up for me on the platform without having to go to each artist, then album, to see if it has been flagged. Even a tag on the artist page that indicates they have albums that have AI generated content would be better than having to click into the album- but I will take what I can get at this point. Please keep up the AI transparency and flagging - you are winning over many customers because of it! ### 5/5 — Really good features, just one minor annoyance. *2026-08-13* This is an update to my original 3-star review: since then I’ve been using it more and some of the things that I thought weren’t working actually are, just not in the way I’m used to. Basically when I get into my car, whether I connect to Bluetooth or CarPlay, the music won’t start automatically. With CarPlay I can just tap the Now Playing icon and I’m back in, but with Bluetooth I need to hit play on my phone, so I just need to remember to do that before I start driving. I’m used to Apple Music, which just starts automatically, hence my previous review. But this is by far the easiest to navigate and use. I particularly love the artist mixes of music. I have a high end Hi-Fi driven by a WiiM Pro.
