The main goal is to attract attention, buy time to escape, and alert your private contacts as well as other users nearby. And the best part: everything is optional. 
Defapp is highly customizable, allowing you to create a setup that fits your personal situation and preferences. At the same time, Defapp is designed with strong privacy principles in mind. There are no user profiles, no background tracking, and all technical data that could potentially be associated with you is stored in pseudonymized form. We only process as much data as absolutely necessary — never as much as possible. And only if you want us to. That is one of the core principles behind Defapp’s development. You do not need a user profile or even a phone number to use Defapp. Defapp has been continuously developed since 2018 together with experts in self-defense and personal safety. No countdowns, no confirmation dialogs, no wasted time in critical situations. THREE STRESS-RESISTANT GESTURES Shaking your phone or pressing and holding the screen activates Defense Mode. Depending on your settings, this can include: * a tactical strobe light designed to disorient attackers, attract attention, and buy time to escape * a specially developed loud alarm sound for maximum attention * recording a 5-second evidence video * automatically triggering Notification Mode Double-tapping the screen activates Notification Mode — a silent alarm system that can include the following features depending on your settings: * instant push notifications to your private network — optionally including your location * instant push notifications to other Defapp users within a radius of approximately 300–400 meters — including your location * creation of an SMS message — optionally including your location and an evidence video You can also trigger Notification Mode using your smartwatch or a voice command. STRONGER TOGETHER We want to truly strengthen civic courage and mutual support. With Defapp’s Nearby feature, you can receive calls for help from other Defapp users in your immediate area. For example, you can look out for guests at your event, your neighborhood, or simply other Defapp users nearby while traveling. We believe potential helpers should never be burdened with costs. Instead of storing GPS coordinates, we only store IDs of so-called H3 grid cells representing the area you are currently located in. Mein Sohn hat eine Apple Watch, lässt sich die App nur in Verbindung mit einem iPhone installieren und nicht stand alone auf der Apple Watch die per Familienkonfiguration konfiguriert wurde. Es ist eine Cellular Watch und somit wäre es eigentlich auch möglich Nachrichten zu senden. Als Apple Watch stand alone App, wäre sie perfekt! ### 5/5 — Absolut sinnvoll *2022-02-06, version 2.4.1* Die App steigert mein persönliches Sicherheitsempfinden. Mich begeistert vor allem die Möglichkeit, meinen Mann im Notfall mittels einfachem Sprachbefehl eine Hilfe-Nachricht und meinen Standort zu schicken. Für mich ist das vor allem relevant, wenn ich beim Joggen, Wandern oder Spazieren alleine unterwegs bin. Es fühlt sich einfach gut an, dass ich weiß, dass ich ihm ganz einfach mit einem Sprachbefehl Bescheid geben kann, wenn ich umknicke oder mir schwindlig wird oder so. In dieser Situation würde ich nicht gleich einen Notruf an Polizei oder Rettungsdienst absetzen. Und die Sprachsteuerung funktioniert wirklich zuverlässig, auch wenn das Handy in der Jackentasche ist, und erspart so das Herausfriemeln des Handys und das Rumgetippe. Konsequenterweise hat die App dann neben dieser Funktion noch weitere Bausteine wie einen super ätzenden (hier im positiven Sinne) Alarmton, Stroboskop und Videoaufzeichnungen, um sich ein ganz persönliches „Bodyguard“- Programm zu schnüren. Auch wenn ich das bislang nicht genutzt habe, halte ich diese Ergänzungen insbesondere für „Nachtschwärmer“ für total sinnvoll und gut umgesetzt. ### 4/5 — Nicht schlecht aber … *2021-12-23, version 2.4.0* Die App an sich ist nicht schlecht! Leider sendet die App Push Nachrichten nur an die jene die auch mit der App arbeiten… eine SMS wird zwar vorbereitet jedoch muss ich die selber noch versenden und geht nicht automatisch raus ! Und das wichtigste warum ich die eigentlich ausgesucht habe war das die auf der Apple Watch funktioniert, jedoch auch hier sehr bedingt da die SMS nicht über Apple Wacht versenden werden kann und nur Push Nachrichten gehen im Notfall raus … also müssen gezwungener Weise alle Notfall Kontakte die App auch haben … 🤷‍♂️ wäre schön wenn ich wenigstens über Apple Watch auch die SMS versenden könnte 👍 danke ### 5/5 — Große Klasse 👏 *2021-06-21, version 2.1.2* Eine hilfreiche und tolle App! ### 5/5 — Brillant! *2021-06-21, version 2.1.2* Die Idee zu einer solchen Umsetzung und zur Integration auf der Apple Watch ist schlicht genial, die Realisierung erscheint mir sehr gut.
