Everyone will use the same 3 decks which feels pay to win since you’ll never win if you don’t have them it feels. And to be honest it’s very annoying that it’s that way since 2 of the decks are based around cards you have to pay for….. ### 4/5 — A lot of improvement *2021-05-03, version 1.7.7* The game is fun and very addictive to play. The devs have done a lot to keep new content flowing and improve gameplay for all players. There still are a few areas that could be improved however. The first is the aren battle matching. It tends to match you randomly with anyone who is looking for a battle. Which does increase the number of potential matches. But it also has a tendency of pitting players from low arena levels against ones from high arena levels. Ones which have access to much stronger children than they do. This has led to a lot of people to reaching a certain level in the arena and then simply giving up on even trying to compete in them. Second support child targeting needs work. Had problems with browny trying to level empty squares or the same child over and over even if they are maxed. She also gets real greedy at about wave 60 starts only buffing my team 80% of the time. Last as many have said the RNG needs some work. Needs to be a bit more random. Tends to pick child it likes from your deck often a support and and spawn them over and over again. Usually the least beneficial one. It would also be nice to see a child that buffs players damage or crite rate. Like Mira buffs speed that would be a game changer for support decks. ### 4/5 — I like it!! *2021-04-27, version 1.6.22* I don’t normally write reviews. I’m not sure if the dice game is a copy of this or vice versa, but this game is better due to anime character art. It gives it a better kick. It has a couple bugs, but they are tolerable. Watching ads rewards you and they don’t pop up after a round like other games. You never feel the need to purchase an in-game items to progress. You play and adjust your strategy as needed. Five stars!!! The roster of childs right now is pretty large, the gameplay is engaging and fast-paced, and the UI both in and out of games are easy to understand. All of this using the intellectual property of Destiny Child, my absolute favorite gacha game to date! My only worry is that they might stop updating this game eventually because it is still pretty new and not exactly flying off the shelves at the moment. Definitely a gem ### 5/5 — Not what I expected *2021-02-18, version 1.4.14* I thought it was a simple tower defense game I started playing and thought that this was just a cheap rip off of clash royal but, this is a quality game and I have enjoyed it a lot so far ### 5/5 — Really good *2021-02-17, version 1.4.14* It’s tower defense but with cards/characters you can level like in an RPG - it’s a weird concept but it’s really fun and easy to play and get into - you have PvP or Co-op modes too so it’s actually pretty versatile, most surprisingly it’s not pay to win. For a free game it’s really 5/5 ### 5/5 — Game has 2 overpowered childs *2021-02-16, version 1.4.14* I absolutely love the game but recently with the release of the new patch Frej and Giltine have been way to strong for the game to even be playable if you are not using them. Giltine should just be able to reduce a child to one star and not kill them its not fair when I start a match and before even the first boss I have 0 units because Ghiltine sniped them all and Frej bring able to change the opponents units at will makes long term winning impossible he should just be random not choose ### 5/5 — Simple and addictive *2021-02-11, version 1.4.14* I used to play the main DC app but got burnt out by the time sink and monotony of the events. This spinoff is kind of the perfect antidote to that. It can be played in short spurts without demanding too much of your time. The RNG in the battles might irk some, but it keeps the gameplay fresh and forces you to make strategic decisions and experiment with builds. Some might complain about the P2W nature of the game, but that only matters if you’re trying to race to the top. Treat it like a marathon, play it at your own pace, and you’ll be fine. My only real complaint is the lack of an easy way to add friends. Kind of impossible to complete certain reward objectives as it is now. Hopefully this and other game elements get improved and expanded upon in future updates. Giving it a 5* for now in hopes that more people jump on board. It would be a shame to see this game get canceled before it reaches its full potential. ### 4/5 — Better Tower Defense games *2021-02-09, version 1.4.14* This game recently released and the game didn’t have much to start with but again it was just released. The gameplay is good the RNG is predictable if you’ve played long enough and it’s quite a fair game between people who buy and free players but here’s the thing, being a free player means well you have to play. If you’re a person who plays a game for a few days and expects all the legendaries and rares for free, then you’re just being a entitled brat, I’ve been a free player for a whole month and was able to get three legendaries. I’ve put ten dollars into the game for three more legendaries which I all bought from a legendary chest (random legendary upon opening). The metas don’t even surround legendaries so pay to win just doesn’t exist it’s more like play to get more stuff, a mechanic that’s in every game. I made this my main game since it’s release it’s a capable game of playing 24/7 especially if you like grinding. The co-op mode allows you to make new builds and test RNG with them. You’re going to lose and you’re going to win I have six players including myself in my clan that’s been over 4000 crowns since game release and most are free players. Learn the spawn rates, learn the abilities, use or figure out new metas and you’ll be set. ### 5/5 — Just amazing *2021-02-09, version 1.3.38* I love everything about this game. However you want to say it. *2023-11-06* I downloaded this game when it came out in 2020. I have played religiously since. No matter what you do, you will never win more than 50% of the time. Maybe if you pay, but you would have to spend hundreds to get anywhere. It’s fun if you like games that make you FEEL like you have control or have a strategy, but find out later that, if it is not your turn to win, there is nothing you can do. Gotcha rates are pay to get anything good. Seriously, I haven’t gotten a useful character in at least a year. Right after I spent money. Even then, I still didn’t get the one I wanted. Find another game. Or pay these *** holes. I am done with this game. ### 1/5 — Trash game that won’t keep guest accounts *2021-06-20, version 1.9.10* I started playing this game and liked it. Put money into it. It’s happy to take your money. It’s happy to track your account via your iTunes account. But when the game messes up and you delete/reinstall, your guest game data is gone. No way to pick it back up. Must be nice. Get money and then run away with it. Also the bosses are trash. They freeze and lock up your towers, then they don’t unlock unless you merge them. got 1 three star, be ready the stupid boss will target it first. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2021-06-08, version 1.8.20* Pros: - RNG gacha tower defense - Beautiful units with some cool animations - gacha boxes can be earned from playing Cons: - For co-op 3 runs a day unless you want to watch ads to get 1 more run per 5 second to 30 second ads - Want to reroll the shop? Watch more ads (limited rerolls) - PVP - every loss you lose crowns ranging from 16-31 (personal experience) - EVERY WIN you gain 4-45 crowns (personal experience) - EVERY CHEST/briefcase is time gated and this *means you have to either take a break from the game. *Pay with crystals (P2W) *Purchase a time reducing item to shave off some time. Personal experience: Arena tier: 11 Crowns gained per win for the last 5 wins: 4 to 6 Crowns lost per match: 18 to 31 Grind? Yeah Worth it? No. Not until they change up the rate at how many crowns you gain or lose per match. I highly don’t recommend this game to anyone that wants to climb competitively at a decent pace. I don’t recommend this game to anyone that doesnt want to sit through ads in order to play a game thats funded by both p2w whales and Ads. If anything... allow the F2P players a way to just grind currency (gold) and pay for ad skips that way If you want them to pay then include ad skips ( PERM) through a small affordable bundle. This will stay 1 star for the duration of my playtime. (I have 63/75 units and im arena 11. So i have some time under my belt.) ### 1/5 — Just like all the others *2021-03-01, version 1.4.20* Thought it would have been different. Just like all the others. In fact, it might be even worse. Spawn times for bosses are too short. Characters should be given a faster attack speed if they merge. Instead they are still slow. It seems like all it does is add a star. Not impressed. ### 1/5 — Crashes Constantly *2021-01-29, version 1.3.38* The game itself is pretty fun, but is crashes so frequently that it’s hard to accomplish anything. I understand putting ads in free games, but when each ad crashes the game something needs to be done. And when the reply to a support request is “Just reload the game after closing everything else” it’s clear they know about the issue and are either choosing not to do anything about it, won’t do anything about it. So not worth the time. Check out Rush Royale instead. Same sort of game, but it’s stable. ### 1/5 — Pay to win 100% updated *2021-01-04, version 1.2.18* This game is the DEFINITION of pay to win. Honestly if it weren’t so pay to win it’d be pretty enjoyable. I think that if you have played the original game then come to this, you’d find that this game in its current state ruins the name of the game and everything that encompasses the original. True different game different style of play but still I think this game is a disservice to the original and ruins the name with this pay to win nonsense. The incessant cheating is a huge issue. The devs give an unfair advantage to the Asian countries while everyone else literally feels like a massive nerf to characters while your Asian opponents have massive buffs. Constant connection issues whenever you fight a player from an Asian country. I’ve given the game plenty of time to play since it’s release and these issues have only gotten worse. Try and write a ticket to these people but because you’re not from their country the ticket immediately gets solved but they actually don’t talk to you. Thus us non Asian country players are vastly ignored. ### 2/5 — Was fun for a minute... *2021-05-18, version 1.7.7* I gave this game a good go. Just spent the last hour playing Arena and dropped from 9 to 7. Not sure if there’s any skill to this game. I had a really good deck, all legendaries, but I just spent the last hour on a losing streak to decks with beginner cards. It’s frustrating because I want to like this game. ### 2/5 — Not worth the effort. *2021-03-02, version 1.4.20* It’s a game that fails on so many levels that it’s downright frustrating. It constantly has connection and matchmaking issues. The rng is completely inconsistent, three games played in a row and not a single attacker even spawns. It also has blatantly broken characters that you have little to no chance of stopping. ### 2/5 — Good game but.... *2021-02-15, version 1.4.14* This game is great for bursts of play or long stretches where unlocking new characters is based on your progression with the pvp arena, but the character generation in matches is broken to all means. What I mean by that is there are a lot of good characters that you can build decks around but the generator for summoning favors the ones in your deck that don’t actually attack. I am currently on a 20 match streak where I have not seen more then 2 of my main attack character and most of those never saw any summoned at all. I really like this game and it’s concept but they really need to fix the way characters are summoned or this review will never be changed, as it stands right now if you like to see how much random summons can hurt then this game is for you, if you prefer more strategy and tactical focus then pass this one up. ### 2/5 — Nerf Gegute *2021-01-18, version 1.2.18* A possibly fun game, but higher ranks basically forces you to pay for Gegute. The upper ranks are just Gegute/Shamash because even a full board of rank 1 Gegute copies with half damage still FAR exceeds anything else. I’ve had boards of 4-5 star childs lose to half a board of rank 1 Gegutes. That’s nonsense. The enemy player knows they won too, so they just spam emotes for two minutes not having to play the game. Boy was I wrong I absolutely love the mechanics of it personally. You can play this game for hours and still not get enough. It’s not super pay to play.
