### 1/5 — Cash grab

*2026-10-25*

It’s really just one big cash-grab, it advertises it as free, makes you input all of your info, and then blocks the actual app behind a paywall.

**Developer response:** Hi! I appreciate your feedback, and I'll work on making the setup process and pricing clearer. I'm sorry the subscription came as a surprise after going through setup. Deflect costs money every time someone uses the AI to request an app unlock, making it difficult to offer a completely free version. There is a 7-day free trial, so you can see if Deflect is for you before paying anything. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at support@deflectai.app!
