## What is Deftly?

Most vocabulary apps teach you words you will never use. Deftly does the opposite. It takes the words you already use, and shows you the ones you have been getting subtly wrong.

Every day, Deftly puts one word or phrase on your home screen, along with what it actually means and how it is commonly misused. "Peruse" does not mean to skim; it means to read closely. "Nonplussed" does not mean unbothered. "Begs the question" is not "raises the question." Small distinctions, but the kind a careful speaker is glad to get right.
