## What is Deja?

Deja finds the photos you took twice — the burst you never picked through, the screenshot you saved twice, the same sunset shot three times — and helps you keep the best one.

Everything happens on your device. Deja reads your library right on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, groups what matches, and suggests which frame to keep: the sharpest one, the one you favourited, the one you took the time to edit.

WHAT MAKES DEJA CAREFUL

Most cleaners show you a number and a big delete button. Deja shows you what SURVIVES. Before anything is deleted, you see the photo that stays in every group — so you are confirming something you can actually check, not agreeing to a number you can't.

• Deja can never delete every copy of a photo. One always stays, and that rule is built into the app's core, not just its screens.
• Favourites are never suggested for deletion. If you select one yourself, Deja tells you before you confirm — not after.
• If you override Deja's suggested keeper, the confirmation screen says so.
• Deleted photos go to Recently Deleted in Photos, recoverable for 30 days.
• If Deja couldn't check part of your library — photos stored only in iCloud, for instance — it tells you, instead of pretending your library is clean.

WHAT IT FINDS

• Exact duplicates — byte-identical copies from re-saves and downloads
• Bursts — every frame your camera fired, with the sharpest suggested
• Near-duplicates — retakes, edited copies, the almost-identical shots

A sensitivity dial lets you choose how eager the matching is, and regroups your results instantly — no rescan.

PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION

Your photos never leave your device. No account, no analytics, no tracking — the privacy label on this page says "Data Not Collected" because there is nothing to collect it with. On the Mac, the app ships without permission to use the network at all, so the promise is enforced by macOS itself.

FREE TO USE, ONE PURCHASE TO SPEED UP

Deja is free to scan, review, and delete one photo at a time — enough to see exactly how it behaves before you spend anything. A single one-time purchase unlocks batch deletion. No subscription. Buy it once on iPhone and it's yours on iPad and Mac too.
