Die App stürzt oft ab. Das ist besonders ärgerlich, weil dann die Wiedergabe stoppt und die aktuelle Playlist/Queue weg ist.
Die Darstellung/Oberfläche könnte flexibler sein. So sind an vielen Stellen die Schrift und Grafiken zu klein. Einstellbare Grösse wäre gut. 
Die Funktionalität insgesamt ist ok.

Have used this app from day one but it’s always crashed for no apparent reason-thought it was my old 3rd gen iPad so got the new 7th gen and it still crashes !
I’m now using Linn Kazoo until sorted - this works faultlessly but it looks a bit dated and wasn’t meant for Melco ! Well done Linn !

Love my Melco N1HZ Mk. 1, and very happy to finally have a Melco app, but v1.2 crashes a lot when trying to launch albums in TIDAL.  If and when that gets fixed the app will be five stars.

Update: New version v1.3 does NOT fix the TIDAL crashing issue, and when I try to launch vTuner, I get a pop-up notice stating “selected device does not support vTuner.”

Five stars for Melco’s hardware, but I am downgrading this not-ready-for-prime time app to two stars.

App stürzt immer wieder ab. Der Melco N10 läuft mit Linn Kazoo super, aber mit der eigenen App sehr instabil. Programm steigt während der Benutzung vollständig aus. App muss dann neu gestartet werden.

This app is a disgrace. It’s worse than all the other apps I have tried so far. Hard to imagine that the makers of a great device would be so cavalier in releasing an app to control their own hardware. Shame on you Melco.

Auch nach fast 10 Jahren schafft ihr es nicht, Euch problemlos und anwenderfreundlich in die typischen Installationsumgebungen zu integrieren…

Um nur auf eines von vielen Problemen hinzuweisen: App funktioniert in einer vorhandenen iOS-Umgebung sowas von überhaupt nicht …

Bin auf einen Melco Player umgestiegen. Komme softwareseitig von Audirvāna. Bedientechnisch ist die Melco APP ein riesengroßer Rückschritt. Scheint mir eine Kopie des Mplayers zu sein. Die App läuft stabil, bietet dem Anwender aber wenig Möglichkeiten der Individualisierung.
Korrektur vom 17.01.2024:
Beim Umschalten eines Titels aus der lokalen Bibliothek zu einem Qobuz Titel stürzt die App in 9 von 10 Fällen ab.

Am meisten fehlt mir die Coverbildansicht als Alternative zur Listenansicht, sowie die weiterführenden Verknüpfungen, z. B. aus einen aktuellen Album heraus den Künstler anzuwählen und sich weitere Alben anzeigen zu lassen. Die App wirkt mir irgendwie anspruchslos und für so ein hochwertigen Player nicht angemessen.

Alleine die schlechte App würde mich in Zukunft von einem Kauf dieses Players abhalten.

Love the Melco, first class bit of kit and true Hi end sound. for yrs Melco didn’t have an app to control their products, was surprised that a high quality product such as this relied on third party control apps. To start off I used 8 ball, the same as the dealership that sold me the Melco did. Then moved to Linn app, great. Eventually Melco released their own app.. At last, …. what a disappointment, their own app cannot find their own equipment on its network. Worked intermittently for a few months then got progressively worse, now cannot find its own server, spoke to Melco, they suggested a couple of changes in settings, WORSE, now can’t ever find my Melco. Have to ask why do they bother making this product when they can’t even be arsed to provide a simple app to control it, you need the app or the server is little better that useless. If I bought a high end pre amp and the remote did not work I would send it back and demand my money back. This could not care less, you bought it now sort out a way to make it work yourself attitude is shameful, what is the point of giving a free dedicated app that does not work. My old 8 ball finds it immediately, ditto the linn, but they are designed for other equipment and each have drawbacks. SORT YOURSELVES OUT MELCO, PROVIDE A WORKING CONTROL APP OR STOP MAKING SERVERS AND RIPPING PEOPLE OFF, SIMPLE AS. Only gave it a one star review as their is no option to give a zero.

Completely unable to find its own Melco server. Multiple other apps succeeded.  Mconnect, on which it is based works really well and finds both available renderers and other servers easily. Lumin, Auralic LightningDS, Arcam Musiclife all find the Melco server. The only one that fails is its own app. Waste of time.

Have now had two Melco units, two iPads (note cannot run App on an iPhone), three routers and three different houses. Melco App crashes most times I start using, especially on Qobuz. This has been going on for two years. Also, my new iPad just won’t see my Melco. Thinking of ditching Melco, maybe for Auralic. Don’t want to buy Chinese but, hey, if their App works, then sold!

Melco make fantastic prodcuts and I use the top of the range player. However this app is not helpful in the slightest. I have reverted to using VLC until Melco make an app worthy of their amazing products. Hopefully they will have a better app in MacOS soon.v

Doesn't find my N1.... Please just forget the cloud stuff and write an app that runs Melco units! Or get in touch with a company that can. A useless customer interface makes you look a poor company no matter how good your hardware. Back to Bubble UPnP for me.

Finally we got an app that works and connects reliably.
I have the N1A player unit and had the hardest time.
Now it finally works every time I start it up.
My request : Come on please add DEEZER, its the best HD streaming service next to Tidal which is too American in music style for me.

I had stopped using v1.2 as it couldn’t always ‘find’ my Melco N1, or the app would lock up. I have been using Lumin or Linn Kazoo instead.

I updated to v1.3 today to give it a ‘last chance’; it has remained stable over 6 hours of playing time, with the expected Melco sound quality 😊

The only issue is that it loses the queue contents when pausing for more than 15 minutes.

Note that you have to change the “USB DAC” settings on the Melco front panel according to which type of control app you are using (as per the manual).

This upgrade connects more quickly with my N1/A but initially crashed each time I tried to play something from Tidal. I then turned off cloud sharing for Qobuz several hours later( which I don’t use) and then Tidal selections played well. Turned Qobuz back on to test a hypothesis but the Tidal still worked

At least a Melco app for their servers. Control made easy with true gapless. Runs fine. Qobuz streaming.
Misses booklets reading, better search capabilities for Classical and nicer display (no sizable thumbnails).

Sur iPad :
 l’appli plante quand on passe sur d’autres appli et que l’on revient sur Melco.
Si on reste sur l’appli Melco cela fonctionne mieux.

I installed the latest version today and its worse than the previous!
I am a visually disabled user using Voiceover. Buttons are not labelled which is a major hindrance.
When using and it discovers my DAC, it raises the Voiceover volume to an unacceptable level.
The latest release speaks unnecessary text every time one reads a line in the app which is frustrating.
Please test the app thoroughly before releasing!
