## What is Delay?

Turn your screen time into study time. Delay makes you answer practice questions on topics you want to learn before you can open distracting apps like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Instead of setting aside more time to study, learning becomes a transparent layer integrated into something you already do every day.

EARN YOUR SCREEN TIME

Before opening a blocked app, Delay gives you a few quick practice questions. Answer them correctly to earn access. Every time you reach for a distracting app, you get another small repetition of something you actually want to learn.

LEARN WHAT YOU WANT

Choose exactly what you want to study. Whether you're learning a language, preparing for an exam, memorizing important concepts, or building knowledge in a new subject, Delay turns your material into questions you can practice throughout the day.

LEARN THROUGH REPETITION

Delay integrates learning into moments that would otherwise be spent scrolling. Instead of relying on long study sessions, you repeatedly encounter your material throughout the day. Over time, those small repetitions add up.

END THE DOOMSCROLL

Your apps automatically lock again after your earned screen time expires. If you want to keep scrolling, you study again. This creates a simple cycle: learn, unlock, scroll, repeat.

IMPORT YOUR STUDY MATERIAL

Bring the material you already want to learn into Delay and turn it into practice questions. Keep different subjects organized and choose what you want to practice when unlocking your apps.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

See how much you've practiced, how consistently you're answering questions, and how your knowledge improves over time. The screen time you would have spent scrolling becomes measurable learning progress.

SEAMLESS INTEGRATION

Delay works directly with your apps so studying becomes part of your normal routine. Once it's set up, simply use your phone as usual. When you try to open a blocked app, Delay gives you your questions, you answer them, and you're right back in.

MAKE SCREEN TIME USEFUL

You’re already going to open your favorite apps throughout the day. Delay simply puts learning in between. Instead of finding more time to study, use the time and habits you already have.

### 5/5 — Best screen time app

*2026-09-03*

This app is a 10/10 in every way but I also expect improvements because I pay for this instead of a free app but if you add a to do list with the screen time that would be amazing also it would be nice to add your actual screen time into the app and the time saved goes from all time to daily and weekly also a normal schedule could be good thanks

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-09-02*

Honestly, well executed. Just used the learn Arabic feature, and considering that’s something I do in my personal time, I don’t even have the urge to reopen the apps that distract me.

### 5/5 — So convenient!

*2026-08-16*

It’s so easy to navigate the app and I’ve never found a better way to fix my screen time addiction.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-08-16*

A great app that has definitely helped me lower my screen time. It isnt just like the other blocking apps ive tried and does a great job at tailoring your preferences into ways to control your screen time. Has great app design and runs smoothly.

### 5/5 — God

Amazing

### 5/5 — Useful!

*2026-08-05*

Been using Second Thought for a few weeks and it actually works. Instead of a normal time limit, it makes you solve a quick challenge (I usually get math or Plinko) before an app opens, and that few seconds is enough to make me close the app instead. The block groups are handy too, I’ve got social media and games split up so I can loosen one without touching the other. My screen time is down noticeably since I started.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words and the review! If you ever have any questions or feedback, you can always reach us by emailing team@trydelay.app :)

### 5/5 — Second thought

*2026-08-02*

This app is hands-down the most effective screen time tool I have ever used. Standard app blockers don't work for me because I always find myself mindlessly clicking "ignore limit" or putting in a passcode without thinking. This app completely solves that fatal flaw. If your short attention span is getting the best of you and you want to genuinely build better focus, download this app immediately. Huge shoutout to the developers for constantly keeping it updated and effective!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words! We're constantly looking to make improvements, so if you ever have any feedback or features you'd like to see, feel free to email us at team@trydelay.app :)
