## What is Delete My Face?

Reverse face-search engines have quietly indexed photos from across the public
web. Someone who snaps your picture at a bar, or screenshots your dating
profile, can drop that image into one of them and get back your name, your
other accounts, and the places you turn up. You never opted in. You were just
in a photo.

Delete My Face does two things about that.

1. SHOWS YOU WHERE YOUR FACE ALREADY APPEARS
Scan your own face with the camera or a photo you choose. We search the public
web and bring back the images results, each with a confidence score
so you can tell a strong lead from noise.

2. HELPS YOU GET OUT OF THE FACE-SEARCH ENGINES
The engines are the choke point. If your face is not indexed by them, the
stranger holding your photo comes back empty. Delete My Face gives you
step-by-step guides to opt out of the major reverse face-search engines, so
there is nothing to find the next time someone tries.

WHAT WE DO AND DO NOT DO
- Matches are leads: images that may be you, not proof of identity.
- The removal guides get you out of the face-search engines. They do not delete
  photos from the individual sites that host them.
- We help you request removal. No app can guarantee a third party acts on that
  request.
