Delhi Metro Rail app provides the customers of metro services with lot of useful information that helps in using the Metro Services. Following are the different sections in the app and the information available in them. Route Between Stations- Selecting the starting and destination stations will display the user the Fares, Distance, Approximate Travel time, stations in between with change over station and the route map with plotting of the route on the map. Station Info – Selecting a station will give you various useful information about the station like First and Last train timings, Platforms, Gates and directions, contact numbers, Tourist spots near that station, parking, feeder services etc. Nearest metro station – This section will show you the nearest metro stations from your current place. Recently they have made it so that you can only pay using upi by writing your upi id and sending a request. Such a stupidly complicated system for no reason. Earlier we could just pay directly via a upi app. They introduce dumb new features like this every update. Please fire the developers and hire a new team. ### 2/5 — Too many side features *2026-06-10, version 7.1.17* This app lost its true purpose. Now you can book hell lot of other stuff, making the app super heavy and requiring strong internet connection. During on the go journey, it Takes a minute to load station list. Earlier it used to work seamlessly. Poor update. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2026-04-25* No use of using the app as it doesn’t register either the exit or entry and then it won’t let you but a new ticket also You compare it with metro card but atleast card registers the exit and if it doesn’t the counter people can at-least clear it but the app won’t work in that part too I’ve recharged my virtual card for 1k now it’s stuck there idle because im not able to use my money for the travel ### 1/5 — Slow UI - too many steps to access virtual card *2026-03-16* It is currently very difficult to access the virtual smart card in the app. The application is quite laggy, and it often takes a long time for the smart card to load at the exit gates. Because of this delay, people end up waiting in long queues just to access the gates. I kindly request that the process be simplified. For example, integrating the card with Apple Wallet or providing a quick-access feature such as an active notification or shortcut could allow users to access the card instantly. This would significantly improve the experience and reduce waiting time at the gates. ### 3/5 — Smart card missing after update *2026-02-25, version 7.1.4* I recently upgraded the app in February 2026 and I can see It is not showing the smart card. I had the balance in my card, but now it is not showing. ### 1/5 — Virtual smart card 👎 *2026-02-11* Very often the gates will open but not register the exit. You have no way to know exit had not been registered. Result - when you try to enter again, it will show error. Help counter guys are clueless. And you are charged 60 bucks as penalty for overstay for no fault of yours. The three dots from where you are supposed to end the journey do not work. Filed a complaint on the app but no response. Very disappointed. ### 4/5 — App is slow *2026-02-09* Came out quite late and needs a lot of improvement in terms of performance. Runs slow and freezes unlikely. The development team must look into it. Many commuters faced such an issue today. The gates didn’t read QR at exit. ### 5/5 — Free pass *2026-02-09, version 7.1.4* I have been using for 6 months daily and paid 200 max ### 1/5 — Scammer DMRC App *2026-02-07, version 7.1.4* This app took my money for virtual card which doesn’t exist anymore. I was using this feature until December 23 where i recharged last time and today when I wanted to use my balance from the card. It doesn’t exist anywhere. I wonder how many people are affected by this scam. It’s a big struggle because of this issue.
