If you order from a certain restaurant and you have already paid and the restaurant for some reason doesn’t have what you ordered, then best believe deliver Addis is not giving you back your money. I even called them back and they took my bank account number and said it would be refunded but nothing, and that’s very unprofessional. There are other options in the city like ZMall that offer a professional food delivery service and a much greater option of different restaurants as well. ### 1/5 — Always late *2023-09-24* Still waiting to get my food delivered it’s been more than an hour ### 1/5 — DISAPPOINTING AND VERY BAD CUSTOMER HANDLING *2023-09-14, version 8.0.0* I ordered food and then called after 30 minutes. They told me they hadn't placed my order. It took them another hour and a half, but still, the food was not there. I called them three times to check, and they kept saying it's on its way! Their excuse was that I had put the wrong number in the address. I would've blamed it on myself, but the fact is, I called them more than 5 times to check on my order, and they already had my correct number. The same female operator was handling my order, and she already knew my number. But they chose to ignore that and put the blame on me. Also, they refused to give me my money back. I'm so disappointed. The only reason I ordered from them is because my favorite app, Zmall, was closed that night. ### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service *2023-04-13* We had to wait for an hour just to be told our orders couldn’t be made. Not to mention they have terrible customer service. After ordering and paying via the app (and sending the voucher as requested), I received two confirmations that my order was being prepared. Shortly after, I received a call claiming my location was 9+ km away, despite the app clearly stating it was only 6.1 km. The team then pressured me to pay the driver extra cash—an unspecified amount—outside of the app’s payment system. When I refused and asked for a refund, I was told it was impossible because "finance officials aren't available on a Saturday." To make matters worse, I was promised a manager's callback that never happened. Holding a customer's money hostage while refusing service due to their own app’s technical discrepancies feels incredibly dodgy. Proceed with caution. ### 1/5 — Clueless business *2026-04-20* I ordered food from a local restaurant and I immediately got a call from the delivery service asking me to pay before the delivery. This is not custom another delivery services. When I refuse to pay beforehand, they hang up and canceled my order. They then send me a text message saying that it’s company policy for first time order. Why would you cancel my order before explaining how this is a company policy? They don’t know how to run a business. It would also hugely benefit from accepting cards, which is apparently being addressed. The app is rather clunky in its listing of restaurant distance vice popularity as it doesn’t seem to remember your search settings. It is also unable to show you the driver’s location (needed when they can’t navigate to a pin). It does not allow you to preorder for a specified delivery time, which would be really useful if you don’t want to be let down at the last minute with the frequent closures due to high demand. It could also do with a back button facility so that you don’t have to re enter your search criteria if you don’t like a restaurant that you have looked at. You definitely should have a backup plan if you plan to use this service for a meal. If it improves then it could be great, but for now it needs work on both the app, the delivery capacity and driver training. ### 3/5 — Great app with few fixes *2020-05-03* Navigating back and forth from different restaurants is tedious.
