Bring it back pleaseeeee. ASAP seems very informal and not as personal as DD. Love chat is basically like talking to a robot where as with DD, you’re talking to a person with a picture. DD always goes above and beyond and ASAP is lacking. ### 3/5 — App is just ok *2021-06-05, version 2.2.2* Not bad app but wish there was an option to easily reorder previous orders. It feels like you’re starting from scratch every time you go into the app. Will say DD customer service is good, and they are quick to take care of errors, adjust orders, call if there are problems with the restaurant, etc. ### 3/5 — Best restaurants, best drivers, mediocre app *2021-04-25, version 2.1.12* Delivery Dudes has by far the best selection of restaurants in our area, and their drivers are the friendliest and frequently go above and beyond. They don’t have enough drivers (I guess) so delivery times are almost always double (or more) what the other services have, but still it’s a great service. However, the app itself is not awesome. A few examples: 1. The app does not show delivery time estimates before ordering, so you have no idea what to expect until you’re locked in. 2. The app does not feel like a native iOS app. The text fields don’t support autocorrect for some reason, so typing in delivery instructions without errors is a real chore. The login form doesn’t support iOS password filling. Etc., etc., etc. 3. The push notifications seem regularly delayed. Often I won’t get notified that the food is on the way until the driver is half way here. 4. The menus are often much less complete or detailed than the menu from the same place in competing apps. I have had times that I want to order something that requires selections (like sides or dressings) and DD doesn’t provide any way to select it other than typing it in (again into a text field in which they have somehow broken autocomplete). Anyway, I hate to complain because I love supporting the “little guy” and local restaurants. But the Dudes mobile experience could be so much better. It is within reach! ### 4/5 — Please add search by tag!!! *2021-04-09, version 2.1.9* I love the app but it gets frustrating when you’re trying to find a specific food or type of food and it shows up with no results. Practically every other food app has a feature that allows you to look at look for restaurants by what food they have, except delivery dudes. I like the company and friends that own restaurants say their a pleasure to work with, but come on guys, catch up! ### 3/5 — Need ability to message Driver *2021-01-15, version 2.0.6* Almost every other delivery app has the ability to message your driver. For those of us who live in addresses that are hard to find i have many times had to walk out to the street to flag down the drive. With Uber eats I can just message the driver and never have issues. The data used to replicate customer information is old and extremely glitchy. App defaults to addresses you used once while on vacation, ignoring the default home address. When food arrives, app tells you to go out and meet driver to pick up your food. Wait I thought this was a full door to door delivery service?? App deleted. ### 2/5 — App redesign removed features! Bad UX *2020-12-04, version 2.0.4* The app redesign removed sorting feature- now I have to scroll through the entire list of restaurants instead of being able to sort by various criteria. I am also no longer able to re-order with a single click from previous orders. The absence of this functionality creates a frustrating user experience. Annoying. Also don't see the much-touted improvement to order tracking. I ### 5/5 — These Dudes Deliver *2020-11-20, version 2.0.0* I order from the dudes because they have the best restaurant selection and their service is consistent and top notch, new app is leaps and bounds over the old one. The layout makes turns hundreds of selections into a simple process. Well done! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Good luck trying to delete your account *2022-05-28, version 2.2.16* Delivery dudes is one of the better delivery services, but your experience will likely depend largely on the good or bad nature of those employees you interact with and not upon widely understood company policies. After having a number of unsatisfactory interactions, I found that there is no simple way to delete an account. That should give everyone pause. It took multiple phone calls and conversations, over 5-6 months, with multiple managers to have my account and associated payment methods deleted. There is no way to accomplish this through the app or on their website. Beware. ### 1/5 — Drivers don’t follow instructions *2022-03-13, version 2.2.14* I had to delete this app. I wanted to support a local company but this app needs a lot of work. The drivers do not follow instructions, and customer support is extremely unhelpful. The ux overall is frustrating as compared to other delivery apps. Will not use again. ### 1/5 — Orders consistently late, dismissive customer service *2022-01-05, version 2.2.14* I’ve been ordering through Delivery Dudes several times a week for over a year. Orders are almost always anywhere from 15 mins to an hour past their estimated delivery time. I’m constantly burdened with calling customer service to check on order status. Customer service reps and supervisors are cavalier and do not offer solutions. They frequently suggest restaurants are the reason orders are delayed, when in fact drivers are often not yet assigned to pick up well past the delivery window. This company is clearly mismanaged and lacks transparency and accountability. ### 1/5 — Terrible service *2021-12-03, version 2.2.14* Orders never come on time. My first 3 orders arrived an hour late. My last order was two hours late and eventually was canceled by delivery dudes due to the restaurant closing. Nobody called to inform me I had to call 3 times to find out where my order was. Terrible service and would look to another food delivery service if you’re in need. ### 1/5 — Bad App *2021-08-25, version 2.2.8* I can’t even add anything to the cart, there’s this thing on the bottom of the screen that says preparing your order that’s covering the button of the ‘how many’ and the ‘add to cart’ button. Every restaurant and I tried quite a few times on many items. Now I remember why I deleted this app previously. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2021-04-01, version 2.1.9* After ordering and tipping 40%, the customer service blamed me for DD’s mishap (wrong dish). Despite listing a specific dish with certain instructions, they managed to relay the wrong information to the restaurant. After calling their customer service, they blamed me for not being 100% clear and did not offer any complimentary or compensation. First and last order from this delivery service. ### 1/5 — Honest review *2021-03-31, version 2.1.9* I actually met the Founder of this app he’s a very interesting person and I was a huge fan almost instantly but after 3 years the truth is that these guys are not the big dogs in this industry so I can’t blame them.. they’re biggest problem for the consumers would be being inconsistent with their drivers sometimes you won’t even get a driver but if you do the ETA is between 1-4 hours so it’s also not the most convenient if you have to run out of the house that day to do chores. I hate saying this because their choices of restaurants are amazing and the app is really well designed but again the most important part for the consumers would be how efficient and how convenient the service is. And the service is their weakest part of their business model. Also if u try to customize an order for example “no pickles” most times it won’t happen, you expect one meal and get a completely different meal which can leave the consumer with a sense of false expectation ### 1/5 — They are the worst! *2021-03-14, version 2.1.6* Every third order from this app has data transmission issues and orders come in incomplete. When you escalate the “Franchise” has no solution and simply transfers you to local location where you sit on hold forever. No apologies - no solution - just live with your messed up order ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2020-12-19, version 2.0.5* I’ve ended up calling my order in twice the last times. All my info was lost and I couldn’t enter it from when I joined last year. It had worked great up until the Fall. So They told me to go to the App Store to update my app. Well, here I am with no option to update. Door Dash or Uber eats I guess next time. ### 1/5 — Why fix something that wasn’t broken?! *2020-12-12, version 2.0.4* The old app was perfectly fine and actually worked. Now all of my information has been erased. Payment method, address, previous orders, favorites, etc. I am trying to place an order after entering everything again and it’s telling me that I can’t place the order because it requires a password. I’m logged in! This doesn’t make any sense at all. Complete failure here. Now I have to find something else on another app to order. You have been my favorite of the delivery services up to this point, but now I’m not so sure about your reliability. The service is seamless and the restaurant selection local to me is the best by far.
