Gains🫤 Losses🫤 *2023-07-07* They say regular installments is the way to increase your portfolio, well duh. I want it to increase due to the market, which it hasnt really done. Ive had money in their since March 22’. Here it is July 23’ and its down. That all its done is go up then down up then down. The invesmente are being sold higher and bought lower to make a difference… I mean at least savings account I’d have 4% or so that would not be disappearing…. Also the backtesting of their algo can be deceiving, you need to go off of where it is when you start. I understand long term investments but even then you would expect some consistent gain in the minimalistic amount. ### 3/5 — SLOW *2022-11-29, version 1.22.38* Don’t have a ton to say about the performance of the algorithms as the market is in the toilet so it wouldn’t be fair…. But one thing I will say is that the mobile app is SLOW to the point of being nearly unusable. ### 4/5 — Good algo investment app *2022-11-08, version 1.22.36* I been using this app / services for over a month, I started slow but now I’m considering moving my 6 figure portfolio over to Delphia. The algo trading works, it’s easy to make money on a bull market but is actually making good returns on a bear market. Having said that, the app itself could use a bit of work. For starters when while the market is open investors like myself want to see the gain % or loss live. At the very least gain/loss % of the day. Right now the app only shows all time TOTAL gain… I get the marketing spin behind showing total return but day to day, week to week gains will literally decide how much more money I want to deposit and guide my strategy. I hope the Delphia team rolls out an update with this stats. I’m not gonna be picky, I like it a lot just needs some UX/UI improvements beyond the basics that serious investors want to see. ### 2/5 — No customer support *2022-10-16, version 1.22.31* Have deposit pending for two weeks. I can’t deposit more until it clears in app. Cleared my bank two weeks ago. I contacted customer support about the delay. Customer support answer was it takes 2 to three days for deposits to clear. Obvious auto generated response. I inquired again . Day later a “human “ Allen responded and said they would look into it. Three days later and still no response. Hugely disappointing. ### 2/5 — Pretty much worthless *2022-10-05, version 1.22.30* I put in $100, just to test out the platform. AI doing 100s of trades/day and investing for you…thought it would do much better than I can do myself. It doesn’t. At first blush, the value shot up to $120, in a month…I was really impressed…then it dropped all the way back down to $100. If the AI isn’t ACTUALLY intelligent enough to make money on a volatile/down market, then it’s no better than parking your money in some mutual funds and waiting. I’m only giving it 2 stars, because at least, they didn’t lose all of the investment. I’m going to leave it there, to see what happens over time. ### 3/5 — Interesting Concept, but Problematic *2022-08-31, version 1.22.25* The app is interesting. The methodology is interesting. However, you will not have reasonable access to your money. When I first enrolled, it took weeks for the initial deposit to process, long after it was deducted from my checking account. You will see similar reviews stating the same for withdrawals as well (if they have not been taken down). My initial deposit only process after sending a customer support request. I recently requested a withdrawal over a week ago, and it is still shown as “selling assets”. Seven days is more than enough time to process a withdrawal request. Since the initial request, the market has plummeted over 10% and my account has declined 40% of the amount that I requested to withdraw. I was using this fund to save up for a nice MacBook Pro. But now that I have the amount that I need, Delphia will not give me my money back and instead is refusing to sell my assets as the market continues to plummet before. I have used pretty much all the roboadvisor apps, and I must say that refusal to process a withdrawal for 7+ days is highly uncommon. Strangely, the app claims to only invest in highly liquid companies. If you think that having a reasonable access to your own money is important, I would advise that you only deposit what you can stand to lose or not have access to. When you request a withdrawal, we create a plan to sell your stock holdings and convert your portfolio to cash. Typically this plan takes a couple business days to execute, but in some scenarios it can take longer due to unforeseen market fluctuations. ### 3/5 — Going downhill *2022-06-21, version 1.22.15* Have been using since it first came out in its first format (different than it is now). Was making small but consistent gains on their highest risk profile, which was their best performing. However, over the past 6 months I’ve been consistently losing money at a MUCH faster rate than I was making it previously, to the point that I now have less money than I’ve invested, even with winning a few of their small lottery numbers. Seems like either they changed their AI in a worse way, or it’s just not able to perform in the current market. Either way, at this point I can not recommend trying it now. There’s no signs that the drops are slowing. **Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for taking the time to write a review. Our AI doesn’t time markets — it predicts individual companies. To that end, it is beating the benchmark it was designed to beat. It’s just that the benchmark has taken a hit along with the rest of the market. ### 3/5 — Too much emphasis on the lottery *2022-06-20, version 1.22.14* I got interested in their AI investing because I much prefer it over humans. I’ve invested 1400 with them by now and it’s doing decently. I feel like they’re trying to pull a fast one on me though. They represent returns in dollars not percents which is odd. Also by investing money I get tickets to win money every week. In some ways it’s fun but I’m considering Un investing because of it. I signed up for stocks not getting addicted to checking my phone when a number is drawn. ### 3/5 — Cannot locate pending transfers *2022-06-11, version 1.22.13* Eager to use the Delphia app with a Flagship Portfolio Strategy, but my 'account is being processed' which has been the case for over a week now. I also remember linking a bank account and selecting a value in assets to transfer, though I cannot seem to locate any record of such activity and have no idea when exactly to expect those funds to arrive. Also, I don't see a way to self manage my portfolio in any way nor split my investment between multiple strategies. Seems like you must pick only one of the 4 and cross your fingers. **Developer response:** hdndnejdjxjdnwk, you can find pending transfers by visiting account, then transfers. We manage it on your behalf based on the one you picked. ### 3/5 — Plaid is unsafe, you never share login creds *2022-06-09, version 1.22.13* First I want say: if you are inexperienced to investing and do not want to study stocks or mutual funds, then this is a good app that allows you to invest within your personal risk tolerance. Investments go down and up and this app’s performance will be no different. This investment app is not here to protect your money. It’s here to invest your money with measured risk. So expect growth in the long term but potential loss in the short term. That is reasonable. Now to what I don’t like: Bank-linking should ONLY involve a bank routing number and micr/bank account number and have it be confirmed with small deposits. Giving out your login credentials of your personal bank to a third party (plaid) is not advised. No one in information security profession would advise that for a very good reason. Data breaches happen every day. But for some reason, this broker/app has chosen to make plaid the ONLY option to fund your investing account with them. So as for me, when they change this app so I can just provide routing/account number to my bank, i will re-install and use this app. **Developer response:** umbasa, thanks for the review! It should be released soon. ### 2/5 — High hopes, low performance *2022-03-12, version 1.21.32* I was excited to try this app, the concept is interesting. I’ve seen others concerned about providing the amount of personal info needed to get started, I wasn’t put off by that though. E*TRADE, eToro and other brokerage account platforms ask for the exact same info. My issue is the app- transfers are very slow, especially withdrawals. I’ve seen comments from app support saying it takes 5 business days to sell off the portfolio, however, the whole premise of the app is that an AI is able to make us all money by making strategic, timely trades. So either the AI has a 5 day turn time on selling positions or the company does because it de-prioritizes sending customers their money. Also the withdrawal feature does not allow you to enter cents, only dollars. When I tried to withdraw my funds there’s no way to get all my money. As a attorney in the fintech industry, the limitations regarding withdrawals are significant compliance concerns the go well beyond the other limitations of the app. If I were the owner of this app I would pause my FB/INSTA advertising for a month or two, update the app and do some serious UAT. The concept is good but the UI/UX kills it. **Developer response:** Thanks for writing! We agree the withdraw experience isn't up to par. We're working on improving it. The premise of the app isn't actually to make strategic timely trades. We've designed the app experience for long term investing in mind which is why we didn't prioritize getting instant access to funds. ### 2/5 — AI *2022-03-11, version 1.21.32* This app does not use ML to improve thus the performance is not real. In a bull market it might prove the percentage gains but in a bear market it doesn’t have any experience. My personal thoughts are in a year using Machine language to learn and improve may be good but at the moment stay away. Not enough expor history ### 1/5 — 10+ pages of forms and questions before you can even see the product. *2022-02-27, version 1.21.30* This looked interesting as I’ve investing with a number of other robo funds. Unfortunately you are blocked from seeing any functionality or any information at all before you’re asked 10 pages of questions about your personal finances and SSN etc. Look forward to being able to poke around this app at some point before giving them all my personal data. ### 2/5 — Takes data but I can’t invest *2022-02-15, version 1.21.29* I’ve had the app for about a month. I have tried multiple times using Plaid to connect my bank to the app, but it won’t work. Apparently my acct. settings are incompatible. However, I’ve been successful linking my bank acct. via Plaid to other investment apps - but no luck with Delphia. Thus far, I’ve won .50 cents from the lottery for sharing my data, but can’t use winnings to invest until I get a bank account hooked up. So far, Delphia’s tech support has just suggested linking a different bank acct. or trying again later. Sorry for the inconvenience. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unannounced changes and lengthy sell requests *2024-02-13* The draw to using this over other day trading apps was the alleged algorithm, and the free ticket draws. They got rid of the drawings, and my investments on this app were considerably worse than other similar apps based on buying too late and selling too late. I would say maybe this is geared for a multi-year investment. I left mine untouched for about 13 months and lost 57% of my investment. The market average was up 7%. When I tried to manually sell and take control, it took 2 weeks to make the trade, at which point it was nearly worthless. They also invested heavily into a few companies that went bankrupt. I would steer clear of this. ### 1/5 — Still haven’t heard back *2023-01-13, version 1.23.2* The app has a cool idea behind it so I decided to try it. I applied to open an account and it told me that I will be informed in a few days if my request was approved. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t heard anything. An financial app that asks for sensitive information shouldn’t allowed to offer such bad services. I regret putting any information down with them. ### 1/5 — Cool concept but lost money *2022-12-08, version 1.22.41* I put $100 in the account about 6 months ago. I added all my personal data and all available digital data as directed and chose the flagship plan. The Ai simply does not appear to do what we all expect it to do, make us money. I have only consistently trended down in the last 6 months! I currently sit at $90. I know the flagship plan has the most risk and this is to be a long term investment… but I also don’t expect to be down 10% 6 months into it. And it’s not like it’s been way up and way down… it has been only trending down. Am I doing something wrong here? I would have been better off just keeping it in a low interest savings account. Update: almost a year into it and I am now down to $40 (60% loss). Extremely underperforming when compared to Dow Jones (down 6% past yr) and S&P500 (down 16% last year). **Developer response:** Futuresplash26, thanks for taking the time to write the review! If you had invested in consumer stocks during the same period you were down 10% you would have lost a *lot* more money. Hopefully the market turns around soon! ### 1/5 — They pretend like it is THEIR money *2022-10-26, version 1.22.33* HORRIBLE APP. Down probably 8% on my portfolio. So I decided to withdraw my money. Switched banks during this time. Had to send them DETAILED bank statements from my closed bank account and new bank account. THEN a picture of a government document. All while this went to their "engineers" to verify it all. This has been going on for FOUR WEEKS. It doens't take this long to "verify" bank information with "engineers" IT IS MY MONEY IT BELONGS TO ME GIVE IT TO ME. Seems illegal and scammy. 0/5 stars. Makes me feel litigious. ### 1/5 — Less than market average *2022-09-22, version 1.22.28* I try these apps as I hear about them. Hoping for one that can return better than average returns over a quarter. This one isn’t cutting it. The first month did well with about a 10% return over an 8%average. Then plummets. Last month 12% loss over a market loss of 2%. What’s the excuse here? If this were a person, they’d be fired. I’ll leave the measly $50 in there for a year to see what happens but after my first quarter I’m disappointed to see my main portfolio out performing this AI by leaps and bounds. ### 1/5 — Bad App *2022-09-03, version 1.22.25* I believe this app was better when it started off, but they do NOT have proper AI to actually make you money. Their excuse is “oh the market has been trending down lately”, but that should NOT make a difference because they are TRADING for you, downward and volatile markets should open up MORE opportunity for growth. Not only that, but the app itself looks great, but the performance doesn’t meet the aesthetics. Extremely slow and glitchy. Now I’m also seeing many reviews of people that cannot get their money back, and also now realize that they use your personal details to make money more than anything. Crooks! *2022-08-14, version 1.22.22* I was skeptical about this app since they wanted access to so much personal data, even to photos, but I was curious about whether their algorithm would work so I decided to give it a try with a small amount of money. I chose the flagship option, which is all stocks because I’m 35 & I’m willing to take some risk in order to get more gains. It seemed to be earning some money, som losses, but overall it was making slow gains & then suddenly in one day I’m -94%, lost all but $2.11, and with no explanation whatsoever. ### 1/5 — Better Apps out there… Ticket Promotion is a SCAM *2022-07-12, version 1.22.18* This is a horrible AI investing app. Plenty of better options out there. The part that had me sold was the cool sweepstakes; you earn tickets that act as kind of a lotto ticket. Numbers on your ticket are randomly generated. BUT RIDDLE ME THIS BATMAN! Out of 9 tickets, with 7 numbers on each (I’m assuming 1-99), I have a TON of repeating numbers, even in the same ball slot? Out of the 63 number slots (obviously a few repeats may happen), I have about 20 different numbers total. 43 of my 63 numbers are repeats. Surprisingly, none of them are winning numbers (couldn’t repeat them in the WINNING category of course). I’m not mad about losing; I’m mad about the clear statistical bias and the not-so-randomly generated numbers they come up with. Learn from me and find a better way to invest. Reply to Devs: you might want to get those number generators checked **Developer response:** Briguyherewego, sorry for the bad experience! We use the random number generator in python to randomly pick your ticket numbers. The winning numbers are actually generated by a third party security company (so we have no access to them) and they deliver them to us *after* our random number generator has won. I hope this helps. ### 1/5 — Insane “Account Review” process *2022-06-09, version 1.22.13* It takes nearly two weeks to set up this app. They don’t ask you for the appropriate materials up front and require you to ask why the account hasn't gone past the review stage. Following sending in my application materials (which I had to seek out and then supply outside of the app because there is no where to upload it to your account) I’ve now been waiting multiple days. Still not sure if this app is a scam, but if they aren’t they are wildly inefficient. ### 1/5 — SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON’T DOWNLOAD *2022-03-11, version 1.21.32* I have been trying to withdraw funds from my account for about a month now. My initial request was placed on February 17th, 2022. I waited 5 days for the transfer as they stated, but nothing. I placed a second request and the same thing happened. I contacted support and they took control and placed the 3rd request. Just today, without contacting me, they canceled the 3rd request and placed a 4th. Every time I chat with support they tell me that they place a 5 day hold on withdraws and my funds will be in my back account shortly. At this point I am convinced this app is a scam. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — They listen, the app works *2023-02-03, version 1.23.5* Every so often the app asks me for a survey which I always fill out, and every so often the app updates and it’s feels like the devs try their best to accommodate, over the period of time I’ve been using the app the devs have be making the app much more user friendly than it started. The program itself uses your money to make money and depending on the level you choose decides the risk factor. Although personally I find all the option to be far to passive, I’m not afraid to lose I’ve given the program money to work with and more often then not I get minimal movement up or down, now this isn’t a jab at the app as it aims to outperform another competitor which it generally does quite well, I just like a little more risk. ### 5/5 — So Far No Complaints *2022-11-07, version 1.22.35* I have been using this app now for a month and it has made me a decent return rate I haven’t tried withdrawing any money so I have no idea how long that would take but they do a sort of lottery system where you can win money and it will be added to your investment portfolio so no complaints. ### 5/5 — Why the bad reviews? *2022-08-18, version 1.22.23* I try some money in about a year ago. And it’s pretty reflective of the market trends. Due to the overwhelming bad reviews I wanted to try it out for myself before putting a big amount of money in. I can’t speak for the lottery-like weekly drawing because I’ve only won a small amount of changes but it’s a nice addition to have. But as far as the investment part, it’s done a pretty good job dispute the crazy market swings. I’ve seen some reviews with problems about withdrawing. I’ve not tried it yet but I do see the option to do that so I don’t think that’s going to be a problem area. This is a great way to invest hands off. Majority of my money I invest through my own research and it does take a lot of time and monitoring the market and the news. Delphia has made it so much easier and not to mention that there’s no fees associated with using it. I do understand that some people have encounter problems but I have yet to. I’m looking forward to putting more money in, and I’m sure with the increase in fund, more flexibility, the performance will be better. But a 55 percent growth in my money (lol 1 dollar) leads me to believe that if I had put more in I would be having a lot more money right now. ### 5/5 — Rather than an investing company, I’d like to say it’s a information company *2022-04-26, version 1.22.6* I saw the commercial on social media and I am hooked. I opened an account without reading reviews first because I like the idea. After getting into the app, I’d like to give a comment that this company is more like a company dealing with big data information instead of traditional money investing. I have been doing stock investing for years and it is different than all the apps I use. I can promise you when lil Wayne came out I didn’t expect to hear my dad say Bling Bling but I did. So this app is unreal to me for the simple fact that as much as we all want to think we have our finger on the pulse it is a real advantage to put your guesses on paper and see how they match up to people of every age, religion, sex, ethnicity, and even different social styles.
