The app seems very user friendly, but I could figure out basic rise and run with the calculator on my phone. I am very disappointed ### 3/5 — Overall starting with it *2019-01-30* I would like a big fix!! When you get to the plans, from my phone I can only email myself. I would like to see a PRINT button so I can print from the app and not go into email to retrieve. Makes sense. **Developer response:** Thank you for purchasing Delux Stairs and providing such valuable feedback. It does make sense to add the ability to print; so we did. Our newest version has a shiny new "Print" button right next to the "Email" button. ### 4/5 — The best *2018-12-26* Love this app, however I wish you could view the plans in the app without e-mailing them! We are sorry you are having trouble creating a PDF. Our newest version squashes a bug that could affect the ability to create PDFs. Hopefully this will solve your issue. Please let us know in either case. ### 4/5 — Good but a few remaining bugs *2018-10-14* The "email plan to" doesn't work; the app crashes. Share option instead would be nice. There is no adjustments available for the risers thickness (I know you can compensate with the run width). On the positive side, neat interface, lot of details and nice plan. ### 2/5 — Shares a common fault *2018-08-24* All the stair calculators seem to share a common fault for layout of the stringers - they ASSUME the stringer stops one riser below the final elevation. On the project I have, there is a tread AT the final elevation, so the stringer needs to be 4 risers high, not 3. The only workaround I have found is to start estimating riser height, then add that to the final elevation. Then keep mucking around with the numbers until it all comes out correctly. Big PIA It should be a simple addition to add a selection “Final Tread At Elevation” Also - Online Help is a dead link. So NO online help & no instructions. **Developer response:** Thank you for purchasing Delux Stairs and providing this valuable feedback. The online help system was down for far too long; but it has now been fixed. We are looking into adding a "Final Tread At Elevation" feature for the next major release. ### 3/5 — Crashes upon email *2017-02-22* The app seems to do its basic job, but it crashes when I try to email a finished plan to myself. That is, pressing the email link crashes it immediately. iPhone 6s+, up to date. The developer only accepts support messages through Tumblr. What!? I'm not hopeful. **Developer response:** Thank you for your purchase and valuable feedback. We are sorry the app crashed on your iPhone 6s+. The newest version has fixed a bug in the email system, as well as providing direct printing functionality. Hopefully this will fix your issue. We are in the process of improving our online services. ### 2/5 — Close to being good *2016-09-20, version 2.7.1* Doesn't offer other options like building with steel stringers instead of wood. Also can't compile more than one stair plan at a time, have to email each PDF individually. Also no way to contact the developer, their website doesn't work. App hasn't been updated in 3 years, would be great to get some of the features I mentioned. In short, waste of $5, find a different stair calculator to use. ### 4/5 — So close *2016-01-10* This app comes so close to perfect. The only thing that needs adjustment is 'tread thickness'. The measurements are 1/8 increments but I require 1/16. With a 9 foot total rise my stairs could be out by 7/8"! ### 3/5 — spiral staircase *2014-12-20, version 2.7.1* just started to run the numbers for a spiral case calc works for runs and such with help from a spiral stair pro on line I'm wrking out the details to make a case I need. We understand how this limitation might be frustrating for projects requiring a rise greater than 12 feet and are continuously looking for ways to improve our application to meet the diverse needs of our users. Can get same from free apps. ### 1/5 — Limited *2016-11-13, version 2.7.1* Need to create stairs outside the parameters of the program. Need a refund and there's no way to contact the vendor. I need stairs for my elderly mom with a 2 inch rise from a 16 inch total rise. Can't do it with this version. I don't need this program if it can't do what I need. Super easy to use and I had no issues at all. Now we’re 2024 and I just opened the app to build stairs on my new deck and had the stringer plans done effectively in just a few minutes.
