## What is DeMinds?

Your content is still there. Your work should not have to start over.

DeMinds is a local-first Markdown and mind map workspace. It brings files, web pages, links, mind maps, and shared AI conversations together as structured Markdown knowledge you can keep editing.

Open supported MindNode, XMind, and FreeMind maps, along with Markdown, TXT, DOCX, HTML, and OPML documents. Choose content from a Markdown Package or Obsidian Vault. DeMinds preserves useful hierarchy, links, and images whenever possible.

With DeMinds, you can:

• See the structure before diving into details
Use the Universal Mind Map to explore headings, branches, and context, find the Nodes that matter, then continue in Markdown Preview or editing. Some Notes can also switch to a structured view. Focus Mode temporarily clears the surrounding interface when you want fewer distractions. For supported map formats, DeMinds Plus also shows the Original Mind Map.

• Keep working in Markdown
Type or paste Markdown, edit it, and create a mind map. Continue editing imported Markdown while previewing tables, images, links, code, and common formulas. Organize, expand, and combine your content over time instead of stopping at conversion.

• Bring remote content back into your workflow
Open public links to Markdown, text, HTML, DOCX, or supported mind map documents in the same preview, map, and editing flow. In GitHub repositories, links between a README and related documents keep a clear path back to the source.

• Follow content worth keeping
Add a public Feed or GitHub repository README to Content Sources and find it in Continue Working. Check for updates when you choose, without automatic background checks.

• Return to work already in progress
In Continue Working, find pinned and recent projects and return by stage, time, or Category. With “Continue with AI…”, prepare a Standard Markdown Bundle or AI Editing File for an external AI tool, compare the returned version, then continue in the original project.

• Take your work with you without losing the reading experience
Export a Markdown File, a Standard Markdown Bundle with images, or a PDF. With DeMinds Plus, export a Full Mind Map as PNG or include Body, Mind Map, or both in an Interactive View, with related Notes, to read, zoom, and fold in a browser. For supported source maps, Interactive View preserves recognized canvas backgrounds whenever possible, while online images stay unloaded until you choose to load them.

• Share an Interactive View
With DeMinds Plus, publish it through GitHub Pages from the Publishing Space in your personal GitHub account. Share, update, or unpublish the public link; disconnecting GitHub does not remove published files.

• Choose where your Workspace lives
Keep it on your device or choose iCloud. You decide where your content stays.

Local-first also means clearer boundaries for your data.

DeMinds does not require registration or an account. Documents, edits, history, and content are processed on your device or in your chosen Workspace, not uploaded to DeMinds servers. Web pages, remote documents, Content Sources, Interactive View images, iCloud, and translation may use the corresponding network or system services based on the features you use or enable. When you publish through GitHub Pages, the public result is written to the Publishing Space in your personal GitHub account.

DeMinds Plus adds the Original Mind Map, Interactive View with GitHub Pages publishing, Full Mind Map PNG export, Presentation Playback, Workspace Backup import, and a higher project limit in Continue Working.

DeMinds is more than a notes app or a mind map app. It brings scattered content back into structure and turns that structure into portable, editable, long-lived Markdown knowledge.
