I don’t even know what comes with the free version, let me try it out 😂 geez. So far it’s okay. While the advertisement promises that you own what you write, the actual hidden legal terms state that you do not receive exclusive rights to music generated by app. They also allow extensive third-party data tracking. Lastly, the application suffers from persistent performance issues. And they do not give refunds even if you never used the app once. Once you click, you’ve been suckered. I’m using iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, and cannot get any reliable sync between devices. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded everything with no positive results. It’s completely broken. I contacted their support team about the issue and haven’t heard back in almost 2 weeks. It’s ridiculous to charge $100 to buy this app when basically functionality is so heavily impaired. The songwriting components look great, but this app is not ready for sale and paid subscription. I would change my rating if this was addressed but don’t see any indication that this will be. There is a short demo but it doesn’t explain anything except for how to let the app generate a song for you. If you’re not fluent in chord progressions and music theory I do not see how you could work your away around this. There needs to be clearer visual cues so you can actually see which notes are being played. Advertising as an app to help people learn is crazy.
