I find the responsiveness of the game to the touch screen on my iPad less than optimal or I would’ve given it five stars.We enjoy the Artifex Mundi games on our PC as well as our idevices. The characters are nothing new yet crisp. The controls are flawless. The puzzles are my favorite level of difficulty. Just one problem... there is a soft lock bug that is VERY easy to get stuck in. (Almost all the reviews mention it, and I experienced it too.) The only solution as of writing is to completely delete the app and start over, which is particularly bad considering it is a good deal into the game. They accuse you of not knowing your username, having more than one username, having more than one account, not having a subscription and even blaming Apple’s updates. Yet they told me it has happened to other subscribers. It’s not the platform itself becuz I am also playing the newest Myth Seekers by Sunward & I can see every single puzzle & many are small in nature. At least have the option to expand the screen or have that one clue enlarge when you tap it. The most frustrating part is that it would have been a great game & gotten 5 stars -if I could just see it! ### 3/5 — Demon Hunters 4: Riddles of Light by LynxMinx *2018-02-26* I can finally update my review. NOTE TO CATALINA: Funny story! Where you were trying to help me was not where the issue was! However I am grateful that you tried to assist. I knew it was a fatal flaw once the hint button spun uselessly around. I was under the stone bridge and the spear disappeared from my inventory, so I had to delete and reinstall the game to try again. Second time around I was able to complete the game, but was also kicked out during the bonus adventure. NOTE TO KIMTWILIGHT: You figured out what happened to me! On to the review. It’s sad that Artifex Mundi charged us so much, even with the sale price, for a game that had a fatal flaw and touch screen sensitivity issues. Normally games by Brave Giant Studios run extremely well, but this one did not! Please fix the issues so others can enjoy the game. You could customize settings. The storyline commingled archaeology, mythology and fantasy, so I was excited to play. The graphics were magnificent and the cut scenes quite exciting. There was no cohesive journal but objectives were regularly updated. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. There was a marked teleport map to transport you instantaneously between locations; unfortunately it did not refresh as quickly as it should have and sometimes indicated actions available when there was nothing to be done. Collectibles included stars and diamonds. Morphing objects were thankfully confined to the HO scenes. The HO scenes had some variation but were very simplistic. There was a pair matching game as an alternative puzzle. I thought the mix of puzzles/ games was pretty decent as there was something for everyone: codes, magical books, math puzzles and games of dexterity. Most of the puzzles were on the easier side but nevertheless they were still fun to play. You also had a mystical gauntlet to use to progress through the game. I would say that the game was a normal length with a short bonus adventure. Once again, this game was a fun romp but had some technical issues. The fatal flaw, the touchscreen sensitivity issues, being kicked out of the game during the bonus adventure, and poor use of the English language has led me to deduct stars. I wish I could rate it higher but I cannot. My final review will stand at 3.5 stars. Of course if the developer addresses the issues and I see an update, I will raise my rating. For the price of this game the quality assurance was sadly lacking, and it’s unfortunate because the gameplay itself was enjoyable.
