### 5/5 — Good when it works, annoying when it doesn’t

*2023-05-01*

My biggest gripe is moreso with how ports of this game work than with the game itself. It’s pretty hit or miss on whether the game will works. It’s worked on some devices but not others. Still payed for the full version because the game was fun and I wanted more.

### 2/5 — Lack of iOS support

*2023-04-29*

This game literally has not been updated for iOS in 2 years. It is stuck on Easter. 2021. The Discord is also borderline toxic — when I ask for help I have been told to “just play a different game”. I am sure it is a fantastic game (currently) but even as of today the entire website/wiki is down, so it is discouraging. I do enjoy this game, however new buyers beware.

### 1/5 — Do people actually pay $15 for this?

*2022-04-10, version 1.83*

This was recommended on a site I use so I was pretty excited to try it. Let's just say I was very disappointed. After you wait for long enough that you get bored, the game will finally load. Then once you figure out what you're supposed to click first, it takes about 5 tries to pick your difficulty (the controls are not at all intuitive and they don't even attempt to explain them until after you select this). Now you're in the tutorial. It will tell you what controls to use. It tells you wrong. You don't just click. You have to hold. So then when you finally get through that, it explains that in this game, "mines" are enemies (they show a spider as an example). Once you try and do the next thing it tells you to do, it will glitch and you will have to reload. This will happen at least 3 times. Once you finally make it through the whole tutorial, you'll realize that all it has explained to you is how actual Minesweeper works. Now good luck figuring out what to click to play the actual game. Honestly, it seems like it could be good but it's executed absolutely horribly.
EDIT: Once you figure out what to do, it is kind of fun. Debated giving it an extra star, but the selections you make to change the difficulty don't seem to do anything so it's staying at 1 star. Hope this gets improved, because it has a lot of potential.

### 3/5 — Luck is not difficulty

*2022-03-03, version 1.83*

There is nothing hard about hard mode, difficulty implies that something can be overcome with skill winning the lottery isn’t hard it’s unlikely. The game is get one shot by a true 50/50 repeat until you get some combo that makes the game brain dead easy
To be a bit more constructive all you have to do is differentiate the price you pay between forced and unforced mistakes something along the lines of only being brought too one health if you made a mistake in a true guess. There are items that do similar things, but sincerely I believe it should just be a standard system mechanics, also streaks are cool make a system mechanic that uses them so I can enjoy it for more then the green numbers 90+% of games I don’t get an item that uses them.

P.S the bug that causes the screen to randomly teleport is terrible a hint for debugging it is that if you turn on border annotations you can see them moving separately from the board while the bug is occurring, please fix the tele bug has killed several of my runs and it’s always infuriating🙏

### 5/5 — Good game, just takes a while to load

*2021-10-05, version 1.79*

I didn't think that this game worked until I waited a literal minute on the start screen for it to load. It's worth the wait, but a loading bar or loading animation wouldn't hurt.
As for the game itself, it's great! Love the combination of rpg mechanics with minesweeper.

### 4/5 — Good game! Camera glitch is insanely infuriating and ruins half my runs.

*2021-08-31, version 1.78*

Half the time I tap or hold on the screen, the camera will teleport to a random location. On most games this would be slightly annoying, but so often have I been killed or damaged while I was simply trying to scroll the screen because the camera teleported and the place I was holding down is now on top of a monster cell. Please fix this.

### 1/5 — Warning: don’t buy full game

*2021-06-12, version 1.75.1*

Bought full game in app and it still shows ads.
It doesn’t even remove the buy button.
Garbage.
How do u get a refund

### 2/5 — Frustrating UI

*2021-05-03, version 1.74*

The UI is not intuitive and directions are not very clear. It’s also way over cluttered which distracts too much from what should be a fun minesweeper experience.

### 5/5 — perfectly usable!

*2021-04-27, version 1.73*

i’ve got some hundred hours or so on pc, so obviously this coming to mobile was exciting. a lot of reviews point out that the controls are weird, and that’s fair! but they’re the best they can be. chording being the only way to tap open a cell is some serious protection against misclicks, especially since double tap is flag. it feels pretty natural to me!

### 2/5 — Won’t open

*2021-04-27, version 1.73*

I loved the original pc version, and I am looking forward to mobile once it is more optimized.

Unfortunately, the app will not open on my phone at the moment, and all I see is the GMS2 logo.
