## What is Demure Cover Story?

You know the moment. Someone sits down next to you and you minimize the app. Demure lets you set a fake cover for any book, complete with a fake title and author that you choose, so what's on your screen holds up under a glance. Works with Apple Books and Kindle. No account. One purchase.

HOW IT WORKS

Search for a book you own or add it manually. Pick a cover template. Set the title and author that will appear on screen. That book lives in Demure's library with the cover you chose.

When it's time to read, tap the book. Demure can open Apple Books or Kindle for you. You choose the book inside that reading app.

THE COVER THAT HOLDS UP

A solid-color placeholder still reads as "they changed the cover." Demure goes further: the title and author are yours to set. "The Leadership Principles of Warren Buffett" on a business template holds up under a glance. A gray rectangle does not.

ONE THING TO KNOW

When you open Apple Books or Kindle, Demure cannot jump to the exact book or hide what happens inside that app. The real cover may appear there. Demure keeps a private library and hands off to your reading app. It is not a reader.

WHAT DEMURE DOES NOT DO

Demure does not read books, open a specific owned title inside another app, track your reading, require an account, or store data on a server. No subscription. It works as a private shelf for books you own or read elsewhere.

Classic, Business, Academic, Self-Help, Cookbook, Plain, each in several colors. Every cover comes with a title and author already set, and both are yours to change.

Onboarding now keeps focus on the step you're reading, instead of the library behind it.

Your library now leads with the book you opened last, so what you are reading is the first cover you see.

The cover picker shows the cover you will get. Tapping a design used to hand you a different title.

Two books with the same design no longer carry the same publisher name, so two books on a shelf look like two books.

Buttons and fields are easier to hit, including Remove and the fields where you set the title and author on a cover.

Support and Privacy Policy in About now open. They did nothing before.

If removing a book fails, Demure now says so instead of leaving you waiting.

Every cover now comes with a title and author already on it, so you don't have
to think one up. Tap Try another for a different one. Both are still yours to
change.

Tapping a book shows the Cover, not the real title. Tap Show real title when you
need it. It hides again when you close.

Covers now come in 43 varieties instead of six, so a shelf looks like a shelf.

Demure puts the reading app you opened last at the top, and only shows the
reading apps you actually have.

Fonts now ship inside the app, so the first screen renders correctly with no
connection.
