## What is DenAI?

DenAI is a calorie and macro tracker built on one idea: the app should respect you.

No popups on the screens you use every day. No upsell in the middle of logging a meal. No guilt when you miss a day, and no red FAILED banners. A missed day gets encouragement, not a lecture.

FREE, FOREVER

Everything you need to actually track:

• Calorie and macro logging from a database of over 4,600 foods
• Barcode scanning for packaged products
• Personalised calorie and macro targets calculated from your own body data
• Weight, body measurements and progress photos
• Weekly check ins that read your real trend, not one bad day
• Water tracking, with an undo for when you over log
• Workout logging
• GLP-1 support for anyone on medication
• Apple Health for steps and active energy
• Light, dark and system appearance
• Reminders, every one of them off by default

WHAT PRO ADDS

One thing. AI meal scanning. Photograph your plate and get an estimate of the calories and macros, with every number editable before it is saved. That is the whole paid feature. Everything above stays free.

FINDS THE FOOD OTHER TRACKERS MISS

Most trackers handle a chicken breast fine and fall apart on a real dinner. DenAI is built for how people actually eat, including the home cooking and regional dishes that usually return nothing: rice and peas, oxtail, ackee and saltfish, callaloo, curry goat, hard dough bread.

Packaged products come from Open Food Facts, so you can log the exact brand of bread, yoghurt or cereal in your kitchen instead of settling for a generic entry. Scan the barcode and it is done.

A tracker you have to fight is a tracker you stop using.

FOOD RECALL ALERTS

DenAI checks the FDA's public Class I recall list against products you have scanned. The matching happens on your device. Your food diary is never sent anywhere to check it, and DenAI always links you to the official notice rather than telling you what to do.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE

Your diary, weights, measurements and progress photos are stored on this device. There is no account and no login. We cannot see any of it, because we never receive it.

DenAI contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics trackers. Reminders are scheduled by your own phone, so there is no push server and no way for us to message you. Apple Health is read only, and DenAI can never write to it.

The single exception is AI meal scanning. When you choose to scan a meal, that photo is transmitted for analysis. We explain exactly what happens to it, in the app and in our privacy policy, including the part we do not control.

HONEST NUMBERS

Calories burned, whether you log a workout by hand or import them from Apple Health, are shown for context and never added to your daily target. Your activity level already accounts for them. Adding them back is the most common way a real deficit quietly disappears while an app still reports everything on target.

Values are good estimates, not laboratory measurements, and every one of them is editable. Home cooking varies, packaged data is crowdsourced, and AI can misread a plate.

DenAI provides general nutrition information and is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat or manage any condition. Talk to a qualified professional about your own circumstances, and always about medication.

SUBSCRIPTION

DenAI Pro is an auto renewing subscription. Monthly is $9.99 per month and annual is $39.99 per year, each with a 3 day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.

### 5/5 — I love DenAI Calorie and Macro Tracker!

*2026-09-21*

This app has been so amazing! I am able to stay on track with my meals and stay in my calorie deficit. I also appreciate the manual add feature whereas if I am unable to find the item, I can enter the item and the macros. There is also a scan feature which allows me to scan the barcode and all the nutritional facts come up! This is an amazing app, because of this app I am down 15 pounds along with exercise and I lost 4 inches off my waist!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the amazing review! We’re thrilled to hear that DenAI is helping you stay consistent with your meals, calorie goals, and overall progress. Congratulations on losing 15 pounds and 4 inches off your waist! 🎉

It’s also great to hear that you’re enjoying the manual food entry and barcode scanning features. Feedback like this means a lot to us and motivates us to keep improving DenAI and adding even more useful features.

Thank you for being part of the DenAI community, and keep up the incredible work! 💪❤️

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-08

Groundwork for iOS 27 and the newest iPhones.

DenAI is now built against iOS 27, which is what keeps it working on the iPhones and iOS versions arriving from here on.

The frameworks underneath the app moved up a version. Nothing you use should look or behave differently. If something does, Send feedback at the bottom of Profile reaches us with your app and iOS version already filled in.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-24

Three free scans. Photograph a meal and see its calories and macros before deciding whether Pro is for you.

Undo works everywhere now. Deleting an entry from its own screen can be undone for six seconds, the same as on Today.

Your progress photos lock again. The gallery re-locks when you leave the app or switch tabs, instead of staying open once unlocked.

Your diary is better protected. If DenAI ever cannot read your saved data, it keeps a copy and tells you rather than quietly starting fresh.

Clearer wording about meal photos: what stays on your phone, what reaches our server, and what our AI provider keeps.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-09

Apple Health, both ways.

DenAI can now add the calories, protein, carbs and fat from the food you log to Apple Health, so the rest of your health apps can see them. It is off until you turn it on, under Privacy and your data. DenAI only ever changes entries it created itself, so food logged in another app is never touched.

You can also import weigh-ins from Apple Health on the Progress tab. If your scale sends readings to Health, they come straight in, and days you have already logged are left exactly as they are.

Rate DenAI and Send feedback now live at the bottom of your Profile, and under About DenAI. Feedback opens an email with your app and iOS version already filled in, so a bug report does not need a back and forth. Nothing from your diary is attached.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-01
