I will continue to use it but it is AWFUL. 7 clicks to get to the spot you’re at in the Torah and then good luck remembering where that was. There’s no way to see your listening history, favorite anything, pickup where you left off. It operates more like an archive than an interactive tool to rely on and get utility out of. Charge me $5 more a month and update the app. It’s my most used app and I would really appreciate a better UX design. ### 2/5 — Dennis is a blessing but the App is a curse. *2022-01-31* I love Dennis Praeger but the iPhone App is terrible. It stops playing at random. I try pressing play but it doesn’t play. Restarting the App will still fail to play. Ugh!! Please fix this App so I don’t keep missing such precious information. Thank you ### 3/5 — Great idea, lots of bugs *2022-01-06* I love having the show, Pragertopia, the articles, etc. all available in one place. But, the Pragertopia stream constantly stops for no reason while I’m listening. And then I have to log back in, and the chosen episode restarts from the beginning instead of saving my place. Listen once and you will love Dennis, his deep understandings and guests ! Unfortunately this app needs to be completely remade as it is so often very upsetting to use. Tiny play button hard to access, frequent disconnects, frequent spinning with no connection. Will not stay connected thru wi-fi, must always use data plan. Please overhaul ! ### 3/5 — Love Prager, wonky ap *2019-12-04* I love the Prager show and sometimes this is the only way I can listen. But lately the ads have been playing over the top of the stream. Just now I had TWO ads playing, AND Dennis talking on his show, all at the same time. Also, please make the “play/pause” button MUCH bigger, so I can easily press it while in the car. Why is it so tiny? Isn’t that the primary operating interface? It should be easy to start the show. As it is, it’s irritatingly hard, and I get grumpy and need the happiness hour on a Thursday. ### 3/5 — Great content, app drains your battery *2018-01-24* Dennis, hope this gets to you. We love your show and content. But this app is not up to your standards. Why does it have to drain the battery? Unless you are streaming, the app forgets where you were left off. Such basic and essential capability should not be missing. It should have been fixed by now. YOU ARE LISTENING TO DENNIS PRAGER ON DEMAND comes blasting out at twice the volume of the show content. But when you start the recording again after having paused it, it starts again at the beginning of the hour. Very frustrating!! If this was fixed, I would give it a much higher rating. I do like that the fast forward button allows you to skip ahead in 30-sec increments. ### 1/5 — Never works anymore!!! *2014-08-15, version 3.4.0* What happened??? I've never had problems with this app until the last month or two. Now every time I listen on here, the program cuts out and I can't hear anything anymore. Occasionally it'll come back in but not for long. My other streaming apps work so it's not my phone. I would like to actually be able to listen to the show please! Please fix problems!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can No Longer Listen To The Show *2024-05-29* For years I was able to listen to the show during Dennis’s live radio broadcast. The show also repeated every 3 hours for 24 hours. Now I can’t even listen to his live broadcast through the app. You get a few minute segment from the previous day. Then it tells you to join Pragertopia (for a fee) if you want to listen to the full broadcast. Very disappointed. I will now have to pay to listen to the reduced 2 hour broadcast. I have been donating to PragerU on an annual basis. I will now need to take that money just to pay to listen to the Dennis Prager Show. Maybe you could offer a complimentary or discounted subscription to Pragertopia for those that donate to PragerU. ### 1/5 — No longer works *2024-02-29* I loved the app and found it to be the best and easiest way to listen to the show. However the app no longer works correctly. When it works ir will play all or part of a single segment if the show and the repeater that same segment over and over again. As a result I am unable to listen to the show and have stated using audible..,. Maybe that’s not a bad thing after all. ### 1/5 — App freezes *2020-10-09* The app worked fine until a few weeks ago. It freezes about every minute while listen to the pod casts. Extremely frustrating. I deleted then re-downloaded it twice with hopes that it fix it. ### 1/5 — Functionality *2020-10-08* Since the last update two weeks ago the podcast stops playing. Unfortunately it doesn’t actually buffer, but simply goes silent for long stretches which the listener misses. I cannot recall ever before using an app for iPad this unreliable. While l appreciate their charity in employing programmers who must have been unable to get work elsewhere, Prager fans are left without a usable app. ### 1/5 — Crashes *2017-05-18, version 5.0.15* App goes to black screen and then crashes. Quit remarkable in this age of technology that there is still this frustration with the basics... Kinda like viewing Dennis's fashion choice in clothing of wearing socks with sandals. ### 1/5 — If you like the podcast, skip this update *2016-04-06* The new podcast player doesn't remember where you left off, so when I finish listening in the middle of a show one day, and then go to pick it back up the next day, the player starts at the beginning of the episode instead of where I had paused. Even worse, this new player no longer has the skip forward or skip back function. I had just downloaded this new update and was listening to Dennis's May 31st show and Dennis made a point I wanted to listen to again. With the old player, I'd just tap the skip back button and I'd be all set. This new one? Sure, it has the slider bar, but on an iPhone it's pretty much impossible to skip back with any precision. Boy, I sure wish I had a way to "downgrade" back to the previous version. I am reading one of his books , I bought another one. I love the fire chats, Prager U , I love his teaching. A dream is developing mr . Prager. I wish I could smoke a cigar with you once. And if you're up past midnight they play 'Best of' episodes.
