It's awesome being able to accurately track the value of the euro as it increases and decreases. This will definitely help me budget next semester. I'm going to India in a few months ,and of course due to roaming fees , I'll only update if/when I get WiFi , so I have set a reminder to enter Rupees before I leave home . The conversion will not be 100% exact but I will have a fairly good idea of what it is ;-)) I have tested and the app stays on the last page opened even if closed and reopened without WiFi or 3G . Exactly what I needed !!! ### 4/5 — Decent idea, well executed *2012-09-04, version 1.0* Does exactly what it says; a larger list of currencies would be useful but perfect for me. ### 5/5 — Simple, Elegant, Brilliant *2012-09-04, version 1.0* First up - this doesn't do maths - if you want that go with the (free) XE app. This app is all about helping you wrap you head around converting currencies in a foreign land - and at that it does a brilliant job. By keeping the list of *denominations* (get it?) fixed in your home country (or, with a simple button press, your destination country, which works better for me) you LEARN to think in the country you're in's currency. It's brilliant. It's also beautiful and minimal - and everywhere you THINK there should be a button - there is. Finally - ignore if you can the 1-star complainers. The app description clearly states that there are (currently) a limited set of supported currencies, all listed on the dev's site FAQ. (Yen and AUD are there so I'm set) and the dev is ACTIVELY supporting the app via Twitter - it a currency you want isn't here don't low rate, silly - just ASK HIM/HER. ### 3/5 — Needs more currencies to be really useful *2012-09-03* Nice simple clean UI. But the App really needs a better list of currencies to be truly useful. E.g. no South American countries are supported. No Russian, Ukraine or French Franc currencies & no way to add them. No offline mode. Turns out it has a very limited amount of currencies it can actually display. This app is only useful to those looking at big time countries. Last update was September 2012 with a promise of more. I'd like to see the update sooner than later and then I can give it a 5 star rating. I'd also like to see a calculator added so I can know exactly what to pay, but I didn't take any stars off for that since the description in the store is accurate. ### 3/5 — Heading the path of abandonware *2013-02-26* There are numerous applications in the App Store that used to be 5-stars, but not anymore. Denominations seems to be one of those. While beautifully made and intuitive, it doesn't keep the initial promise of adding more currencies along the way. The last update happened in October, no new currencies (including the one I've asked for and has been promised that it will be added) were added since then. The app seem to follow the hit-and-run model that is, regretfully, becoming more popular in App Store these days. ### 3/5 — Not there yet *2012-09-08* Should have checked available currencies.
