### 5/5 — Best part of my career.

*2023-01-21, version 2.4.5*

I’ve been posting on DT for over 20 years—at first mostly clinical stuff and then exclusively in the “Political Forum”.

The conversations I’ve had on the site are the best I’ve ever had anywhere in my life.

I retired 6 months ago and don’t post much anymore, but I learned so much from the people on the “poli thread”. The original tag line of DentalTown— something like “ Never practice alone again” held true for me.

I’m grateful for the site and the connections I’ve made on it.

Excellent platform

### 5/5 — Regulatory Compliance Specialist

*2022-02-06, version 2.3.9*

Beyond my thoughts on how many Dental Healthcare Providers need some guidance and how lovely it is to see so many of their peers do know the regs and give it freely with joy in their hearts.

I do want to give a huge shout out to your support system. My assistant who was posting national days, and tidbits to our social media sites did not understand the posting requirements for your sites and not only were we given one chance, but two to prove ourselves on following your rules.

As a long standing member of SCN with Linda Miles and Lois Banta, the third of only three to make SCN Fellow, and a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, I was deeply embarrassed that we did not comply with your rules! It will not happen again.

### 5/5 — My absolute go to for all dental questions!!

*2021-12-17, version 2.3.9*

Anytime I have a question, I go through the forums and most topics I am searching for have already been answered. I have got very useful clinical and practice management information here. Highly recommend to anyone in the dental field!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2021-08-17, version 2.3.4*

Good source for opinions of various professionals.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2025-10-18, version 3.0.3*

Ever since the big update to DT a couple of months ago, the app is practically unusable. Please fix this DT, I use to love y’all’s app.

### 1/5 — Outdated glitchy platform

*2022-04-10, version 2.4.2*

Using this app is just plain painful. Developers keep patching this buggy app for years. Is it time to finally kill the app and start from scratch?

### 1/5 — Blue on black is terrible

*2021-09-13, version 2.3.4*

Bad choice of colors

### 2/5 — Great but not worth it

*2026-06-07, version 3.1.1*

This is a great resource for practice management, but it’s also a disappointing example of the sexism that still exists in parts of the dental profession. The platform feels heavily male-dominated, with little to no moderation of discussions about girlfriends, wives, ex-wives, and female associates. Some of the comments and attitudes expressed toward women can make the environment feel unprofessional and unwelcoming.

### 2/5 — I like the app, but…

*2023-07-20, version 2.4.6*

The text is so TINY!! I need to have my loupes on while i read. Please create a feature in the settings where text size can be adjusted.

### 2/5 — Good community. Bad app.

*2022-08-04, version 2.4.3*

The community is good but the app is really bad. Crashes and malfunctions frequently. Some features work one day and not the next, uploading content is a chore.

### 2/5 — Crashes randomly...& often

*2020-08-15, version 2.2.0*

Love Dentaltown. Lots of really good features on this app too...however... it’s almost painful to use because of the random and relatively frequent crashes. When opening attachments or trying to view pictures. Also when typing a nice long post on a thread. Exciting when you’ve typed for 5 min then app crashes and deletes whatever you typed.

If this single issue was fixed I’d change my rating to a 5 star. But the problem is that bad to me.

### 2/5 — Nice but not convenient!

*2013-10-26, version 1.1.91*

Nice app, but cannot zoom in with fingers as with most apps. Also when I accidentally "followed" a message thread I had a difficult time "finding" the thread to unfollow as I was receiving emails. It was easier to go to the "full" website to delete it. Other than these 2 problems it is a nice app.

### 3/5 — CE problems

*2020-02-19, version 2.1.4*

It seems to be a bit disorganized when trying to sift through the ce courses

### 3/5 — Ok but...

*2014-11-06, version 1.2.7*

The app is much better than the iPhone version but please do something about scrolling through those long threads... Trying to read a 400 page topic and I can't choose which page to go to? Either start with pg.1 or backwards from 400, ain't nobody got time for that!
Also, while the 'pull down to refresh' feature is a great idea, if I do it by mistake while scrolling up a page it takes you all the way back to the first page of said long thread. I gave up trying after a while.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-04-12, version 2.4.9*

Good app for dentists.

### 5/5 — Great resource

*2025-01-06, version 2.4.9*

I have been following Dentaltown online for many years and now with the app I’m looking forward to using it for perspective

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2024-09-27, version 2.4.9*

Easy to navigate

### 5/5 — good UI!

*2024-08-29, version 2.4.9*

only issue is i’d like to read threads from OP down like reddit, not from most recent reply (i might just need to adjust settings) otherwise way better than browser usage!

### 5/5 — Generations of entrepreneurs

*2024-06-23, version 2.4.9*

This site is has brought about insane clarity throughout my career. 28 years in dentistry and the option to never practice alone is powerful. The amount of knowledge and poker though all this content is amazing. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Best part of my career.

### 5/5 — Best dental app, hands down

*2024-04-06, version 2.4.9*

The brings together all levels and perspectives, anybody and everybody’s opinions, no holds barred. I love it! It’s an excellent way to learn together.
