## What is deorbit?

One tap. Your phone knows where you are, dives from orbit down to your
street in one cinematic zoom, and hands off seamlessly into your own live
video. A single share-ready vertical clip — no editor, no keyframes, no
timeline.

HOW IT WORKS
• Hold the record button: a real satellite descent flies to your exact
position while you frame your shot.
• The transition effect you chose fires — white flash, whip pan, glitch,
film burn and more — and your camera takes over, already rolling.
• Release. Preview the exact final video, then export straight to Photos.

REAL IMAGERY, REAL POSITION
No AI-generated scenery: the descent uses real satellite and 3D city
imagery of the place you are standing (or any place you drop a pin —
location permission is never required).

YOUR WORLD MAP
Every video you export is pinned on a world map exactly where you shot it,
previewed with a frame of your own footage — not the satellite zoom, so you
recognise the moment at a glance. Tap a pin to watch it again or share it.
Shoot the same spot twice and the pin keeps every take. It becomes a travel
log drawn by the videos you actually made.

MADE FOR REELS, TIKTOK & SHORTS
Vertical 9:16, platform presets with duration budgets, ten transition
effects with adjustable duration (down to a hard cut), photo slideshow
mode, and a descent that always lands where you are looking.

PRIVACY FIRST
No accounts, no servers, no tracking. Your location is used on-device to
aim the descent, and your map lives only on your iPhone. An optional
privacy toggle lands the video ~50 m away from your true spot. Map imagery
is streamed from Apple Maps (network required for the descent).

LAUNCH MONTH
Every Pro feature is free during launch. Later, Deorbit Pro (one-time
purchase) unlocks all effects, full duration control, full quality and
watermark removal.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-09-22

NEW in 1.4 — rating prompt. After the user's third successful export,
the app may show Apple's standard rating prompt (RequestReviewAction).
It appears only after the user taps Done to close the finished-video
screen: never at launch, never over the Share button, and at most once
per app version. It is not preceded by any custom question and is shown
the same way to every user who reaches that point. The system may choose
not to display it. To see it: export three videos (Choose on Map, drop a
pin, press and hold the red button, then Export) and tap Done on the
   third.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-08

Two steps, then you're off.

The first time you open Deorbit it now points at just two things: pick a
place to dive to, and press and hold to shoot. That is the whole app.
Everything else — descent length, transition effects, platform presets —
is waiting for when you want to tune a video you have already made.

The hint never blocks the button it points at, and it is gone for good
once you take your first shot.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-08

Tougher exports.

The satellite descent streams its imagery live while it renders, and until
now a single hiccup from the map servers was enough to lose a whole export
— usually on cellular, usually right at the end. Deorbit now retries, works
around the gap and keeps going, so what you shot stays yours.

Nothing else changed: the map, your pins and your videos are exactly where
you left them.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-01

NEW: The Map

Every video you export now gets a pin on a world map, right where it was
shot — with a frame of your own footage as its preview. Tap a pin to
rewatch or share the video. Shoot in the same spot again and the pin
collects all your takes.

Your exported videos are also kept safely inside the app, so the map works
even if you remove them from your Photos library.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-27
