They beat Navy FCU, Pentagon FCU and every major bank including the military banks, USAA and First Command. It’s the personal touch and the rates. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of. It sometimes picks up background surface, such as today, and in the past it has sometimes made the back side of check look diagonal. Only happens with the back side, has never happened with the front side of the check. Will zero in on ATM locations, you can transfer between accounts, is quick reference and beats firing up a desktop just to view a balance. DOCFU is the best credit union I have ever been in. As I always say, you can never be too rich, too thin, or be in too many credit unions. Best things about DOCFCU are…excellence of staff members….and CD offerings. Can open a CD with just $500. That means, start small, small is doable. Start small develops the habit. The number one way to develop a financial plan…use a ladder of CD's. Once a ladder is in place…varying rates, varying maturities, now no more surprises, there’s a CD coming due. DOCFCU has led the way by offering a $500 window to invest. Over the past 11 years I have set up multiple accounts and investments with the credit union. Car loans, mortgages, mortgage refinancing, Long and short term highs rate CD’s. Every single transaction has been timely, courteous and professional. There customer rewards program, website is 100% and 80% of the time phone service is great!They will always call back.
