Terrible customer service, cancelled a sale because they thought it was a fake bag - it wasn’t. Did not return my customer service request for three weeks. Then told me I should have added a tracking number when I couldn’t even send it because they had cancelled it. Worst customer service!

I would strongly recommend being cautious when using Depop, especially if you run into an issue with your account or a refund. My experience with their customer service has been extremely frustrating.

Communication was honestly horrible. I sent multiple emails about several issues and it took an extremely long time to receive a response. When I finally did, the response felt very generic and automated, and none of my actual issues were properly addressed.

My account was suspended/locked, and while I was unable to access my account or respond to the buyer, a refund was automatically accepted. I had no opportunity to properly respond or resolve the situation myself. I also had an issue with a purchase I had already made when my account was suspended, and despite contacting Depop about it, this was never properly addressed or resolved either.

Overall, I felt completely ignored and extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled. I understand that issues can happen, but the lack of communication, the extremely long response times, and the fact that my concerns were never properly resolved made this a really horrible experience. I just want other users to be aware of how difficult it can be to get help when something goes wrong.

Depop payment payouts seem to take forever despite shipping immediately; expected date changes daily so its hard to know when you are going to recieve your money. Vinted pay next day yet the minimum threshold for instant payment on depop is something dumb like 100 items. 

New pricing strategy makes it confusing as a buyer. RIP

Depop USED to be one of my favourite apps but I find now that it isn’t because there a heaps and heaps of fake clothes and it just ruins the chance of getting real authentic clothes then reps from china. If there was a way to figure out if they were or weren’t before purchase that would be ideal.

Of all the secondhand apps, I’ve never used one with such a high track record for terrible sellers. Maybe 10% of purchases won’t turn into regrets with misleading listings and terrible sellers. Depop Customer Service is cheeks, expect no help.

Well don’t really know where to start. Maybe the fact that this app said that my first order was going to have free shipping then I had to pay for shipping. Is what it is I just paid for it. Of course they have to add in their marketplace fees too. Huge joke there. Just taking even more advantage of people both on the buying and selling side. I had an issue with an order that I placed and tried to raise an issue with DEPOP to get the issue resolved in which they would not help me and just asked me to reach out to the seller instead. Seller ghosted me and would not respond back and after the allotted time I had to wait to be able to escalate the issue with DEPOP now I am waiting even more time for customer service to look into the issue and even though the item has still never shipped they are allowing the seller another couple weeks before they do anything about it. In the meantime I am out over $600. I don’t suggest using this app. I’ll probably just stick to eBay even as sketchy as it can be.
