Additionally, the video/picture quality is extremely grainy unless you are right on top of something, which makes navigation to find the issue difficult. That’s fine if their target customer base is largely in China. I suspect, however, that much of their business is from U.S. customers. 2. This app supports a variety of cameras, including endoscopes and otoscopes. These commonly require use of two hands—one to hold the camera, and the other to deter obstructions. Anyone with even the tiniest fragment of a brain would know the app requires the option of an adjustable countdown timer to enable taking snapshots in such situations (because both hands are occupied to get a clear camera view, so there is no free hand to take the picture). Otherwise, shooting video is the only means of getting the picture, and that’s inefficient. To repeat: total f—ing morons! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work!!! This year, after some iOS upgrades, I no longer get to establish a connection. Re-reading the manual, reloading software and resetting the endoscope controller did not help. Clicking on the App Support icon in the App Store, leads me to a Chinese website with no translation available. I’m pretty annoyed, this endoscope has seemingly been orphaned and abandoned. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2022-06-18, version 3.6* This keeps dropping the WiFi signal and won’t connect. Sometimes it does and works for a couple minutes then freezes. Please find fix. Otherwise, Sansisco and Depstech products need serious non-consideration to purchase. Reset the resolution to the highest setting (HD) and the app wouldn’t improve beyond the lowest resolution available. Thats all! Works for 1 second. You have to keep disconnecting, power off/on camera and reconnect only to work for 1 second. Crashes every time. Wasted $60. Buy one that has its own screen. Eventually you’ll look online for a replacement that actually works. But he forgot, or didn’t understand, to run a string in there so I could run my Ethernet cable later. And now the wall is up. I have access on this side and the back side, but there are three studs there I have to fish wire through … in a wall with no other access. I used this app and a Depstech endoscope. I taped the wire to the endoscope. I also taped the endoscope with the wire to about 5 feet of bendable water tubing, but still rigid enough to make the run. Then I used this app to aim for the holes. Using it seemed straight forward but the user manual gave detailed instructions just in case. It uses the whole iPhone display to show the image, so you get a great view. For the price paid, I think the app and scope are excellent value. ### 5/5 — This is a great device *2020-04-26* Initially I could not get my cellphone (iPhone XS) to see Wi-Fi signal generated by the camera. Upon setting up the device, I had an Eero gateway located 15 feet away from the device. I think the eero was overpowering the signal from the camera. After momentarily shutting off the eero, my cellphone could “see” the Depstech signal and it connected perfect. This is an incredible device at an incredible price. The probe has just the right amount of rigidity and flexibility.
