No bells and whistles at all, built using the original plans for the first 25 (or 31) 36x24 „full frame“ cameras ever built. It’s a real pain (or delicious pleasure) to use this camera. Non-standard f-stops? Not a problem with this app. No depth of field gauge on the lens? No worries from now on. It takes forever to set this camera up for a photo anyway. Plug the lens, wind 1/2 way, measure the light, guess or measure the subject distance, set focus, consider depth of field required, choose f-stop, validate exposure time, convert exposure time to gap in mm for shutter curtain, set gap, wind film remaining 1/2 way, unplug lens, frame subject in gunsight, release shutter, plug lens. Having an easy visual representation of the depth of field, makes this process much more likely to yield an acceptable photograph, especially since the camera is held away from the face to frame the subject. Oskar Barnack would be very impressed, and would immediately think, this is incredible, could we not incorporate this kind of technology in the camera itself? You can select the sensor size, focal length of the lens, aperture and distance of focus. You can then determine at which distance before and behind the subject things will be in focus. You also have the hyperfocal (if you set your focus manually on this distance everything will be sharp beyond that point - very useful in landscape and street photo).
