### 3/5 — Derbyshire Telegraph

*2025-02-24, version 9.4.2*

Derby Telegraph is an absolutely no news whatsoever rag other than what has been copied pasted and repeatedly regurgitated daily week in and week out for donkey’s years. from Facebook, X, What’s App and Twitter. The Lord alone knows how the journalists spend their working lives whilst contributing nothing whatsoever to the community that they are paid to serve as it appears that they never get out of their beds.

Derbyshire Live claims that their news reports are live and the latest.

The truth of the fact is that it is as dead as a Dodo and the news is always older than Noah and his Ark, Adam and Eve, Methuselah or the Dead Sea scrolls when all we are left to read is Beaufort1 in every comments forum 24/7 365 days of the year.

### 2/5 — Sadly a long way to go.

*2025-02-20, version 9.4.2*

News reports way way out of date. Censorship would make Russia proud. No comments allowed at a ridiculous level.

### 3/5 — News or history !!

*2024-08-14*

Why is the news that happened up to 8 weeks ago still in the news sections- surely there should be a cut off date of 2 weeks maximum after a story has first been reported. It makes looking for recent news more difficult.

### 3/5 — Dark mode

*2024-06-18*

Time and other phone info can’t be seen in Dark Mode. When I use the app, if I click on a story it throws me out of the app, I have to go back in and then everything is ok. Two faults I’m experiencing.

### 3/5 — If only they could eliminate the bugs

*2024-03-26, version 9.2.4*

If only they could eliminate the bugs

### 2/5 — Was ok until latest update

*2023-11-20*

Cannot read to the end of an artical without it throwing me off the website, would’ve rated more otherwise. Waste of time if you can’t read the end of the artical when scrolling down.

### 2/5 — Was all good until updated

*2023-11-19, version 9.2.0*

After the update every artical I read throws me off the website when I scroll down to read the end, so basically when I scroll down to the end of an artical it throws me off completely.
Until now no problems, is this a problem with the update? Or my device?

### 2/5 — TAP TO VIEW LATEST NEWS

*2023-02-08*

WHY? The app should automatically keep everyone up to date without having to tap the annoying pop ups. And why are some of the articles written by infants? Then there’s the out of focus maps and lack of links to sites mentioned in the articles. You could do a lot better, but I don’t think you read these feedback, or you can’t be bothered.

### 2/5 — Mrs Jogela

*2022-12-24, version 8.2.3*

Not happy about the amount of old news that keeps appearing. It needs to be more updated not reading old stuff over and over

### 1/5 — Rubbish sick of this site

*2022-09-23, version 8.1.2*

Total rubbish I have had enough of this sight

### 4/5 — Much better.. but

*2022-08-09*

The app is much much nicer then using the web version since you don’t get a spam of adverts. But only have a small issue where the app freezes when I go onto a headline

### 2/5 — Poor journalism

*2022-07-02, version 8.0.2*

Never renew pages on mobile app. Appealing accuracy on reports.some very misleading

### 1/5 — Hmm

*2022-06-29, version 8.0.2*

Leave a comment that goes against the woke narrative and get banned from leaving any further comments, so much for free speech or freedom of the press.

### 3/5 — Tap for new stories

*2022-06-28*

It may be just me but when I go into the app I expect the latest news (like most other apps) I can scroll down for stories I may have missed - the tap button for latest news I find really annoying and hoped it would disappear on the latest update but unfortunately still there other that that the app works - content often leaves something to be desired

### 2/5 — Dont bother trying to see the comments

*2022-02-22*

Dont download this app if you’re interested in reading the comments, or in adding to them. You wont be able to see or write comments. Otherwise the app is OK. Still prefer the website though.

### 1/5 — Unable to log in

*2021-10-25, version 7.1.0*

The worse app to log in I was born in 1940s been using these mobile phones for years well downloaded Derbyshire live app now cannot log in. Tried to use my email it says already taken and I logged out and blocked I have given up yours bobthebet

### 1/5 — Can’t sign in

*2021-10-17, version 7.0.7*

Can’t Sign In with Apple just keeps buffering all the time.

### 1/5 — Journalism?

*2021-09-18, version 7.0.7*

Terrible journalism, amateurish articles that aren’t in the least bit interesting.

### 1/5 — Very poor

*2021-09-13, version 7.0.6*

News on this site is sometimes laughable, poor grammar and some head lines don’t make sense.
Also the comments that people leave are deleted for nothing at all.
All in all very poor show DT

### 1/5 — Goodbye and Goodriddence

*2021-02-21, version 6.6.1*

Can’t believe the rubbish that you publish as stories! Misleading and an Insult of our intelligence!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Comments Forums

*2025-06-22, version 9.5.4*

The comments forums of Derbyshire Live are only supportive of all Beaufort1’s comments but no one else’s, so much so that Derbyshire Live has now become unreadable whilst Leigh Curtis’s Derby County fantasies have degenerative into a complete farce- for heaven’s sake why is he not sacked as a 2 year old would show far more intelligence and knowledge about Derby County.

Derbyshire Live reporters have now all become a universal laughing stock, unlike the old DerbyEvening Telegraph.

### 1/5 — Derbyshire live update

*2024-07-19, version 9.3.2*

Update came on screen, so updated now it says can’t configure the app rubbish.

### 1/5 — App won’t configure

*2024-07-19, version 9.3.2*

Tried numerous times to open the app after downloading and it won’t configure. This has only happened since most recent update. Trying to find app support or similar is impossible. Fix this bug please

### 1/5 — Update now can't open it up

*2024-07-18, version 9.3.2*

Well was doing ok until I updated app and now can't open it even after reinstalling it several times , well done 👏🏽👏🏽

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2024-06-07, version 9.2.6*

Full of woke journalism, heavily edited comments to meet their agendas. Don’t bother with this app as the stories are very poorly presented and not fact checked, reminds me of a poor school rag

### 1/5 — Censorship

*2024-06-01, version 9.2.6*

This paper and any others who use the same software could teach Russia about censorship. Getting worse by the day.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing.

*2023-12-08, version 9.2.0*

Something broken. Regularly the app just closes itself

### 1/5 — Bloody awful new app

*2023-11-09*

What have you done the app is now inaccessible and counter intuitive. Nobody can use it. It’s ridiculous it won’t load properly and your individual choices mean you can’t see anything. Really shot yourselves in the foot with this one hope you didn’t pay to much to have this designed. It flipping useless

**Developer response:** Hi and thank you for your feedback. The Home Feed is now our editorial voice of DerbyshireLive and your personal choices have moved to the My News Tab, where you can see an entire feed of your favourite topics, or view them individually using the scrolling navigation. Of course you can change your choices and reorder them at any time by tapping the Edit button at the top. The Reach PLC News Team.

### 1/5 — No Comments!

*2023-08-09, version 8.3.5*

Why have DL disabled comments on most stories? Reading the associated comments are the opinions of the readers - the best part of this “local” rag!

### 1/5 — Derbados

*2022-12-26*

Absolutely horrendous amount of cookies to manually opt out of so called ‘legitimate interest’. A total lack of privacy with no option to reject all.
Couple that with substandard articles and this app just isn’t worth having any more.
The days of old when it was the DET in print are sadly long gone.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good paper

*2020-07-21*

I like the app as it makes reading the paper much easier particularly in lockdown and the isolation period I generally buy the paper from the shop, but since discovering this 10/10

### 5/5 — Good app.

*2020-01-31, version 6.2.5*

Easy to use. Discover useful for selecting what you see.

### 5/5 — Painful slow most of the time

*2020-01-06*

Can only get it to open half the time and very slowlythe rest of the time .
Once open it’s easy to use and good app.

### 5/5 — Derbyshire Cricket Club

*2019-08-26*

There never seems to be any articles about the counties cricket club matches on the Derbyshire Live app or am I missing something?
I am a Derbyshire exile living in Devon but use the app daily. Love the Derby County coverage but what about the cricket team!!

### 5/5 — Top of the league

*2019-08-14*

I live in the north east and use this to catch up on local news in derby mainly to keep an eye on the rams news that is bang up to date .

### 5/5 — Mrs Lorna Turner

*2019-07-29, version 6.0.0*

### 5/5 — As good as TV, and available on demand

*2018-08-26, version 4.1.0*

Excellent easy to navigate site providing all the local news WITHOUT ANY FRUSTRATING ADVERTS popping up all the time.

### 5/5 — Telegraph

*2018-08-05, version 4.0.4*

Brilliant full of good reads locally and good pictures too loads better than before. Just a shame there’s no hatch match and dispatch sections

### 5/5 — Great app for Derby news and updates on the Rams

*2018-03-18*

Simple and easy to use navigation that takes you speedily to items you’re most interested in.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2018-03-12, version 3.2.7*

This easy to use App is just what we need to stay informed on happenings in the Derby area. You can tailor the App to load stories only relevant to designated geographical areas and paper sections. Overall, the App is very intuitive and just as easy to thumb through as picking up a newspaper from the local stands.
