I was struggling even in level 1 and had to give up completely in 2. ### 1/5 — Literally breaks every 7 seconds *2023-10-03, version 2.2* I hate your game ### 1/5 — Fine, if derivative. *2023-09-22* I’ll start by saying that the game is mostly fine. It’s largely competent and completeable. I finished it in just over two hours. The story is largely nonsense, with character motivations changing constantly, insipid attempts at creating vague lore, and twists with no real impact at all. The jump scares come exactly where you expect them. The controls are generally fine, but fall apart any time you are expected to do tight platforming or interact with moving/moveable objects. The biggest flaw is that the entire middle act is just playing every level again with very, VERY slight changes. The final act introduces a couple new levels and mechanics, but ultimately ends with going back to another retread of a level. Finally, the game ends with a very silly Undertale-inspired boss battle (albeit with way worse controls and design). You can, in cases like this, really see every inspiration the game has, because it wears them proudly and (often) poorly. The art is nice, at least. All in all, it was fine, and feels like exactly the kind of game children will enjoy when they haven’t played any of its much better inspirations. Would recommend playing for free if you’re going to try it, but I imagine the game would be miserable to complete without doing the no-ads IAP. I saw a single ad, and paid the couple dollars to not have to endure that again. ### 1/5 — Too many ads *2023-09-19* I actually am interested in the game and it’s not terrible. Especially for any players with sensitivity issues or anything like that. Or if you’re like me and get scared easily. I love the setting, the eeriness, the characters and the conflict, the 4th wall breaking… I love it. It’s such a simple game with so much packed underneath, and I genuinely liked the story. But one criticism I do have is that it was a tad messy in its writing. I wish I knew specifically where these girls came from, why they appeared to be evil and scary even though they’re not, and many other thing. I guess I wish that it was a little more detailed and provided context.
