For example “To describe something tell what it is used for.” Then you are given the picture of a conk shell. Or “To describe something tell what group/category it belongs to.” You are then shown a passport. These items are not familiar to young learners and to confusing to start with! ### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for *2019-08-13* This is great for teaching children the information required for giving details/description of an object person or event. I love this app as it takes children step by step through the information needed and extends these skills to people and events (rather than just analysing the semantic and phonological features of items). Children with DLD or social skills difficulties often struggle to give accurate and sequenced details when they re-tell events leading to them being misunderstood, frustrated and often in trouble. This app gives children the essential skills to overcome this difficulty!
