This company brings you things you wouldn’t even know EXIST if they didn’t do what they do. Like another review said, these people have bills to pay just like everyone does. They offer something that asian markets barely scratch the surface with. This is one of the few local shops that REALLY put blood, sweat, and tears into this passion TO BRING US these rare and exotic products from all over the globe. Sure if you happen to live near an asian super market you MIGHT be able to find a couple things they have for a buck cheaper; but I doubt it. I will continue to support Desert Drinks and exotic snacks because i cant find thee products even at my local H-mart some times. They have a B I G inventory and it’s always growing. Just one thing to note they have to import and do a lot of work to get most/some of their inventory from whatever country it came from so it can then go into your mouth. As a result the price reflects that, that quality and effort that goes into it. But they often have sales and specials going on! Mostly it’s due to where the store is located(Arizona) known for having high shipping. But honestly $3 for a Dad or Cherrywine is steep, and some of the 400% markup on items with their labels being 99¢ is a lil sus. Oh, and sell Dole Lemonade at $5 is kinda high considering they are selling an expired item to you. ### 1/5 — Terrible company *2020-08-05, version 1.1* I ordered 20 bags of snack sized ketchup chips and they charged me $60 for shipping! After 2 weeks the bags came in a medium usps priority flat rate box, which should also be delivered up to three days after ship date. Slightly expensive but many of the rare items cost much more elsewhere, or are impossible to find. My only complaint would be the terribly high shipping costs. Unless your order totals to $150 or more you'll be paying a pretty penny for shipping. I used Apple Pay and didn't realize the cost of shipping until the order already went through, it was $30 for priority shipping and my order still isn't here it's been almost 3 weeks. Really wish there was a way they could reduce shipping costs for all orders regardless of amount, because then I'd be more inclined to purchase regularly. ### 5/5 — Sooo awesome! *2022-04-25, version 2.2* Recommend to everyone! Super cool that they have an app, it’ll save your items plus you get points! I got free shipping on my order & didn’t spend 150$ so not sure what everyone’s talking about lol. My order came today and I am soooo excited! I’ll always choose to support this business instead of going to a big chain store. I’m in West Virginia so it did take about 9 days to come but it’s probably due to their popularity on tiktok causing lots of orders! When they moved to their new location, since business was booming and they needed the space, I made my first purchase. They came out with the app and they seems to almost always have a discount code out that you’ll get notified about w notifications ON. The categories the selection the smoothness of the app was great the checkout process was a LITTLE tricky but once I played around I figured out how to select store pickup since I live in the valley. With COVID 19 they are taking precautionary measures like mask requirements, limited store capacity and please hand sanitize when you walk in. I love the vibe when you walk in I was greeted by a woman stocking shelves and a man greeted me at the counter. I let him know I was there to pickup my mobile order and it was bagged up and ready to go for me. I loved my snacks and drinks and will definitely be back.
