## Most critical reviews (6 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why?

*2022-03-31*

Why make an app and put it on the App Store if your customers have to pay just to try it? And on top of that it’s not cheap, it’s easier just to Google what you’re looking for. That’s where they got the information from. Don’t waste your time, money, and storage on your device for this. Worthless, bait and switch application that advertises itself as a “free app” then when you tap on the first thing an ad-wall pops up wanting money. I give it a negative 16 stars.

**Developer response:** Ignore the bullies and try the App for yourself 😉

### 1/5 — No free functionality

*2020-03-14*

You can only see two in free mode and you might as well use Wikipedia instead. A nice idea for an app if it was free, and if it was better organised with consistent layout and bullet points making it faster to read

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. Sources are from selected Academic Material Design Books, not Wikipedia. New updates address these issues.

### 1/5 — Wow

*2016-11-06*

Only few material listed and the rest it in-app which not mention not at the option row.
And the most impressive thing it's instantly crashed! 🙌🏻

**Developer response:** False review. User clearly wants to affect the App's ratings and sales. The App works just fine, no crash at all. And of course there are in-app purchase because we don't work for free.

### 2/5 — Subscription?

*2022-04-30, version 3.4*

Unless the content is being revised weekly, it may be more sensible to just have notes on ones phone.

**Developer response:** Design Materials is constantly updating. Subscriptions are needed to cover the maintenance cost of development.

Are you able to create your own Materials using the notes app? That update is coming soon.

### 4/5 — Question,

*2025-01-12*

It’s really good and helps me a lot but how do you design the materials? I went to the material and clicked design then I readied my pencil and then clicked the screen to draw my material and It didn’t work, so that’s why I’m asking how to design materials?

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thanks for the review. In regards to your question, you need to press "Edit" for the pencil to work. Hope that helps. New update now supports Filament management for 3D printing 🧵

### 4/5 — Bought subscription but still don’t have access

*2019-10-05*

I bought the silver subscription but it doesn’t let me access all of the materials, it’s as though I never bought it. This is frustrating and there’s nowhere to ask how I can fix it. Other than that it’s a fantastic app and I love the layout

**Developer response:** This issue has been fixed with the latest update (2.0). Thank you for reporting it.

Best regards!
