## What is Desired Resistance Calculator?

When you need a non-standard resistor value it can be achieved by series or parallel connection of two standard resistors. But calculating all possible combinations is a time-consuming task.
This tool calculates, which two standard resistors, series or parallel connection gives a closer approximation to a desired value of resistance using E12 (10%) or E24 (5%) series of resistors.

I was embarking on the long-winded process of using a spreadsheet to create series and parallel value tables, but even then they would be tedious to use, having to pick out near matches and work out which is the closest, then I decided to see whether there was an app. And there is – this is it! Invaluable to analogue electronics design: plug in the value you need and the app lists the closest parallel and series resistance pairs and their percentage error. Clearly produced by somebody who's been in that position. Thanks...

But not 5 stars.  A couple of improvements I request:

1.  Make it work split-screen on iPad.

2.  Enable results to be selectively copied-and pasted.
