### 4/5 — Please update the game

*2021-07-22, version 1.0.3*

Ok so I played this a long time ago but deleted it cause there weren’t that much routes and I just got bored but I recently started playing again and I really like it. Although, not all the characters have routes yet and I really am looking forward to Okubo’s route. Also, I hate how you have to purchase coins in order to get a side story (although the prices aren’t that high which is good) but it’s still really annoying. I also noticed that there aren’t daily gifts or a present box like there is in the other cybrid game. I’m pretty sure cybrid stopped updating this game but I hope you guys do update it soon, it’s one of my favorites

### 3/5 — Needs updating

*2021-07-01, version 1.0.3*

As much as I love this it really needs some fixing. I know they might of abandoned this, but at least make it look decent enough to play!! I came back after some years to it still looking that same sadly. Please add an daily login so that it can last at least for a year. I also see some spelling errors in dialogue. I personally do not have any problem with it, but there might be some who do.

### 4/5 — This game has changed

*2020-10-21, version 1.0.3*

I love this game so much, don’t get me wrong, but I really don’t like the new updates. I wish there was still the daily log in bonuses because getting gold is much harder. It now takes me ages to get gold to pass love challenges and getting gacha points is hard too. With the daily log in I could get gacha points, gold, affection tonics, grace perfumes, closet storage, chapter tickets, tea sets, and accessories all for free as long as i committed to playing everyday. Now I’d have to pay to get all of those things or hope I get something really good from perfecting tea time. I have played this game for over 4 years and have restarted many times. My old accounts are gone and getting chapter tickets and those things now are very difficult. I feel that there should be a way to get free coins such as taking surveys or watching ad videos. I also feel like there should be an option to hide your characters face in pictures. It would make me feel more submerged in the game. One more thing I think should be added is being able to change the characters skin color. Thank you for hearing me out.

### 4/5 — Wish this would change...

*2020-04-01, version 1.0.3*

I am completely in love with this game, and I haven’t even finished one route yet! I originally played this game a year or two ago but lost interest, but got back into it about a month ago. One thing I do wish would be changed would be the choice of instead of paying to get the premium scenes would be to use a system where you download apps or something like that, like Tapjoy.

I would only do this though if the offers were actually good and reasonable, rather than having them all be for subscribing to a random cite that looks sketchy. If the offers were say, 1000 coins to get the citadel in a game to level 15, I would take the time and use it to get the coins so I could have that premium route. When I had Destiny Ninja 2+ (May it R.I.P.) I would spend so much time earning points to turn into coins so I could get the premium route.

I personally don’t like continuing a game if I can’t get the CG or the special scene, but to some extent I will tolerate it. With not getting the premium route makes me feel like I’m missing something really good in the storyline. Yes, it may not effect it, but it adds more to the characters and shows how deep the relationship can be for being fictional. These are my opinions, but I do hope you consider them somewhat. I can’t wait to read more of the routes!

### 4/5 — What about Yuki??

*2019-07-30, version 1.0.3*

Are we not able to date Yuki AT ALL, or is his route just not released yet? ‘Cause he’s honestly so awesome. Anyway, pretty good, I wish the chapters were longer. Also, having more mature storylines (i.e. Katsura, Kirisato/Haru) would be awesome. Not much else to say. Wish updates were more often!

### 3/5 — Good, but could've been better

*2019-04-26, version 1.0.3*

I started the game when they stopped doing log in bonuses and that personally kills the game experience. You have to wait in order to get enough gold to advance and get past the avatar challenge, which is nearly impossible. I rely a lot on tea time and super lucky fortunes that are hard to get/do. I have to hoard my items and it's difficult to move on in the game when there is barely anything left (and you're still not even the amount of gold you need to get past avatar challenges). I understand that there is not enough demand for the game to continue those log in bonuses (hence being discontinued), but it would be a lot easier and less discouraging on the players who are still willing to keep going.

However, it's not all bad. It's a good game with nice characters and a good experience to work through. I do enjoy the game very much and I completed Haru's route in no time. I love it so much. But, it could've been better the second time through. It gets harder the second time around without the bonuses they give you and the prolonged periods of time to gain the right amount of materials to move on.

Destined to wait? Sure. It's good, but it can be way better than what it is right now.

### 4/5 — It is great but.... YAMAZAKI NEEDS A STORY!

*2018-03-21, version 1.0.1*

I love the game so far. It has great story dialogue characters and overall design!
Though the one problem I have is the character that I like CAN NOT BE DATED!!!!
I think that YAMAZAKI should be a character that can be dated!!!!!! So please add his story to the game! WHEN I found that he was unable to be dated I was devastated!!!! So please add YAMAZAKI STORY ROUTE!!!!

### 3/5 — I love this game, but...

*2018-03-20, version 1.0.1*

To be clear, this app is definitely staying on my phone. I love the plot and the characters! But I do have some problems with it... Where are the actual events? Did Cybird completely abandon this game? In Ikemen: Sengoku, there's always events coming up/or being released soon (the same with Midnight Cinderella) and with this, there's nothing? And the tea time to earn grace and etc. doesn't seem fair. I can compete against a newbie and they'll still win? It's really unfair. I love Hijikata but tbh, this app's missing some stuff. And I'm wondering if Cybird ever plans on continuing this one. I won't delete it because I've spent money on Hijikata's birthday but I'm a little disappointed in this.
In my opinion, Sengoku and Midnight Cinderella really steal the show. I hope they update this one soon, I really do enjoy it.
I should've read the reviews before I spent money on this one. If you don't mind waiting and no events compared to the others , this app IS a good one and their personalities differ. I for one, find the Sengoku one much more engaging and interesting.

### 3/5 — Destined to wait...

*2017-02-10, version 1.0.1*

Eagerly awaiting the next character update. Also, there has been a major lack of event stories over the last few months. For some reason Cybird has only been rehashing old events with the option to buy them with coins. We want new content! At this point it feels like the game has been abandoned, which is a huge disappointment.

Two suggestions for next update (it really needs one, as the last app update was over a year ago)

- Expand story log with scrolling. Unlike Midnight Cinderella, I'm unable to scroll up or down to view all the text in a chapter.

-Give us the option to delete unwanted items from the Present Box

### 3/5 — I love Haru....

*2016-10-30, version 1.0.1*

I played midnight Cinderella first. So, I had quite some experience with the game. This one is about time travel, without knowing much about Japanese history, I went with the latest release of character. It was a wonderful ride, yet, everything gone flat afterwards. I tried a few other characters, yet, they can't get me interested in them. The setting of haru is just so wonderful and got me hooked. But given there are so many characters and only one got me interested... it didn't get that many stars (I uninstalled it within a month). Moreover, comparing to midnight Cinderella, it has way less events and stuff. Feels like it's a sub project that the company doesn't care about.

### 4/5 — Small error

*2016-07-22, version 1.0.1*

The game itself is good; graphics/story are beautiful, also the pretty boys ;) The current event of voting has a minor error when voting for Okita, one of his scenes says that he is in team ice when he is actually in team fire. I just wanted to alert the developers to this, as they may have overlooked this mistake.

### 4/5 — Fun game but...

*2016-07-19, version 1.0.1*

I like the game a lot. The only problem is that the only money you get for free is gold. You have to pay real money to get coins. I understand that you have to make money somehow but it would be nice to get some free ones. Overall, great game.

### 5/5 — Fun, Fun, Fun!

*2016-06-11, version 1.0.1*

This is my first review, even so, I would like to say this game is so worth it. The guys are very endearingly sweet and the heroine, instead of being a vapid airhead, has such spunk and honestly is trying her hardest to prevail in a time foreign to her. Katsura is by far my favorite guy. Though this game takes patience waiting to build up more energy or for more love passes; events and other otome games help pass the time. An in depth plot, well thought out characters, a lovely 5 star game.

### 5/5 — LOVE!!!❤️ But please make Okita's story soon!

*2016-06-09, version 1.0.1*

I absolutely love this game! It honestly makes me feel like it's a reality and not just an app. I just hope you'll come out with Okita's story soon! He's so intriguing without even knowing about him. Please make his story soon!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Such a waste

*2017-08-25, version 1.0.1*

If you want to be bored out of your mind, then I suggest you download this game. I used to love this game so much with all of the story events and routes to read. But now it's just plain boring. Cybird has basically abandoned this game and has done little to nothing to make it more exciting. I might just delete the app if they continue to be like this because honestly? It's disgusting.

### 1/5 — Destined to wait to advance.

*2016-12-04, version 1.0.1*

I'm somewhat new to Otome games, but I'm playing about five now and have been for a little over a month, so I have some data for comparison. The concept is interesting and unique. However, once you choose a suitor, there is very limited interaction with others. (At least, that's the scene in Hijikata's story.) I also haven't seen any story events, so there's less exposure and, for me, less interest in starting a new story once I've finished the current one. Maybe I started at a bad time?

What really turns me off, however, is the pacing. Tea time is impossibly unproductive unless you shell out in-app purchases to boost your beauty. Have triple the amount of grace as your competition? You are still likely to lose, and changing up your competition only cycles through the same 20 competitors. So any other strategy for tea time is useless. It means I'm finally near the end of my first story, but I had to take a week off of reading the story to do tea time frequently. The result? I kind of forget the story. I get that this is how the games go, but I shouldn't have to wait a week (or pay) to move things along faster so I don't forget. There is some strategic lag with my other games, but nothing like this.

So for me, it's a great concept, and the bonus stories do actually seem worth it. But eh. We'll see if I keep on after finishing this story. ATM I'm stuck again for at least three days (or 1500 gold pieces) so perhaps it's time to give it up.

### 1/5 — Tea Time is outrageous

*2016-05-30, version 1.0.1*

I actually liked the story, at least, I liked Hijikata's (the one I was playing). Uninstalled because every single time I try to earn gold and raise my grace I can't because literally every time I just get "good". Why is it so hard to get excellent? And why does the game keep choosing rivals with way more charm than your character? Fix it and I'll redownload.

### 1/5 — Too much waiting

*2016-01-24, version 1.0.1*

I downloaded this game thinking it would be exactly like Midnight Princess. It is similar but it seems harder to get bells and harder to pass any of the challenges. I play multiple times a day to raise my grace and bells but it isn't easy. I'm giving up after I finish this story. They need to make it more like Midnight Cinderella, that game is much better. I can't pass a single challenge, I end up waiting a week or more trying to raise my grace or bells on my own since I refuse to spend money on these freemium apps. By that time I forget how the last chapter ends.

### 2/5 — Fun Game, Terrible Support

*2019-02-14, version 1.0.3*

This game is fun and the stories are intriguing. However, there are a lot issues with it loading properly. If you happen to do a coin purchase and it reloads be prepared for weeks of submitting your proof. Basically just stick with the stuff that you can buy with gold or else you might be out money and whatever you purchased.

### 2/5 — I wanted to like it

*2018-12-17, version 1.0.3*

I’ve been playing cybird games for a while now I started playing MidCin in about 2014 and again recently along with all of the other games. I joined the second daily rewards were taken off in October. I really wanted to enjoy DTL. I can barely make it through one route. Tea time is painful to do and watch. I can’t buy other items and getting to the end of Kyo’s route might not happen if I have to buy any attire. I’m very stubborn so we’ll see if I can get though this time bc the story really is good.

### 2/5 — Did Cybird abandon this game?

*2017-08-14, version 1.0.1*

It's like they gave up trying to keep the players interested. Out of the otomes played this one is the most money greedy, which is sad because if they weren't they'd probably make a lot more money. And compared to other otomes you basically have to look up walkthrough to actually get the prizes at the end. Your allowed maybe two wrong choices and then you don't get the ending. I used to love this game but when they brought out Kirisato/Haru before Yukio or Kondo and then didn't continue with other characters I was so disappointed. LIKE WHAT HAPPENED?! WILL THEY EVER RELEASE A NEW CHARACTERS MAIN STORY AGAIN?? WILL THEY TRY TK REENGAGE PLAYERS EVER AGAIN OR NO??? I mean they are not trying to give gamers what they want so no wonder so many people delete or stop playing this game. Wonderful game with an interesting storyline very good characters and art, it's a game with a lot of potential STILL but the creators aren't doing anything with it, only milking money from them like with the "lottery/gachas" and birthday stories. /:

### 2/5 — Used to be good

*2017-01-14, version 1.0.1*

This game used to be very good just like Midnight Cinderella, but about a year ago, they stopped doing events of any kind and only produce new stories for "grab bags" which are boring and obviously a money grab. There is no longer any motivation to make friends since there are no cooperative events. The main story lines are good, but once you have played through them, there is really no reason to play anymore. It's like they abandoned the game or don't feel it's worth investing in and it's very disappointing.

### 2/5 — Tea Time

*2016-03-14, version 1.0.1*

This game is pretty fun for the most part, but it is so hard to get an excellent in tea time. I've been playing for over a month now and I barely have 6000 and I do tea time multiple times a day. It makes is really hard to continue the story because I'm have to wait days for me to be able to be my grace up high enough in order to continue with the story. I doesn't take long at all the get 6000 in Midnight Cinderella. Maybe you should make it a lot easier to get and excellent because I've have maybe gotten it three times since I've played. Make it more like midnight Cinderella and I might consider keeping the app, but if it's not changed by the time I finish my first story, If I get to finish it, I will delete the app with no hesitation.

### 2/5 — Doesn't credit all your purchases

*2016-01-21, version 1.0.1*

I've really been enjoying this game but I've made 3 purchases for 100 coins each and only received credit for one of those purchases. My money is gone but my coins are not there. I sent a form to customer service but I haven't heard anything back. Please fix this because it's not cool to take peoples money for nothing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Please bring DTL back to life

*2021-07-08, version 1.0.3*

This was an amazing game. My first otome app and I seriously spent quite a bit on it ( and then other Cybird games) but they stopped having events and then just stopped updating. It was berry disappointing because I had been waiting to get Kondo’s story, as leader of the Shinsengumi who gets repeatedly lost, even in his own compound and who loves pets but apparently has an Anne-Happy type luck around them ( and I just pictured Yamazaki giving him one of his special rocks and the MC doodling eyes and a cat grin on it, so he’d have a “pet rock”), I just think he’s story would be very interesting!!!
Please bring back DTL! ( and MidCin too pls.)

### 5/5 — Character

*2021-03-24, version 1.0.3*

I love the characters I just wish Kondo and Yukio was one for the characters you can chose to

### 5/5 — Love the game-hate how few story tickets it offers.

*2020-05-01, version 1.0.3*

The game is great and the storyline is actually followable, the characters are interesting too but I wish you could earn story tickets without having to pay. Game Creators make it so you can buy tickets with gold!!!! Pleaaaaase!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend!!

*2020-04-16, version 1.0.3*

I love this game, personally. I’ve had it on my phone for years and I play it off and on. I’ve done both endings for Hijikata and Katsura, and one ending for Keiki. Destined to Love gets a lot of hate in comparison to other Cybird games, but I don’t get it. Destined to Love is quite possibly my favorite of all the Cybird games. I love the characters and the plot, especially Katsura and Keiki. The only complaint I have is the length of chapters. They can be ridiculously short, but they’re still good. It is not the easiest to play for free at first but I’ve never spent a penny and I’ve done fine. This is a great otome game, and I hope you have as much fun with it as I have!

### 5/5 — Favorite Otome Game Ever

*2016-11-06, version 1.0.1*

I found this company through Midnight Cinderella years ago and downloaded Samurai when they were advertising in game last year. Since then this has surpassed MC as my favorite and I play it almost every day. I love that it's fairly historically accurate and the images are just beautiful, they really worked hard to set the atmosphere in this one and I appreciate that. The game is smooth running and the translations are mostly accurate with the occasional grammar or spelling error. I swear this game just keeps getting better and better with each event. Love it! P.S please make more event after stories available for purchase!

### 5/5 — Superb story

*2016-10-23, version 1.0.1*

One of the stronger points is that the heroine isn't weak-willed, like the MCs in other games like this. The story is so captivating. I really wish I didn't have to wait, but it's definitely worth it!!! Play it, because there is a story worth knowing~

### 5/5 — Love!!!!

*2016-10-01, version 1.0.1*

I love the characters of this game. I really like the history, and the storyline is well written. Best of all, there are so many characters to choose from and they are pretty great choices.
A huge plus... The steamy stories 🔥😉🔥

### 5/5 — why now？！ WHYYYYYYY！ TT_TT

*2016-09-15, version 1.0.1*

I just downloaded this game a bit more than a week ago, and they had to start this campaign co-op w/ Midnight Cinderella ONLY NOW!

That's so depressing!! I couldn't participate in this event b/c I've ONLY JUST finished the prelude. And even if I deleted the game, it turned out the data is saved on their server and I'm still ineligible for the campaign :-/
(but still, data saved on server is a convenient feature, couldn't blame on that part......JUST MY LUCK!! Gaghhhhhhh)

Now I'm a sad sad kitten ˊ_>ˋˊ_>ˋ

### 5/5 — Highly recommend!!!

*2016-08-06, version 1.0.1*

All I have to say is WOW ...this might be my favorite otome game, if not for the slightly annoying love challenges. That aside, this game is visually stunning and the story is SO much better than their cinderella game. Gave me chills at one point. More importantly, the heroine is strong and hardworking and NOT a stuttering idiot!!! I cannot emphasize enough how refreshing that is. I really hope this company translates more of their games; all of their character designs are absolutely gorgeous and I am looking forward to seeing what other situations the heroine will face next. I honestly cannot stop raving about this game <3

### 5/5 — I love the story

*2016-07-01, version 1.0.1*

This is by far the best written otome game I've ever played. Seriously, the story and the art is the best, I can't get over how good it is. Some games are hard to get into, they over dramatize the guys or the situations. Despite the historical setting, the game gives you a realistic feeling with the interactions between characters or the internal dialogues. The only thing I dislike is how good the cliffhangers are and how you can't really buy much with the gold they give you. You have to buy with your own money if you want extra stuff, and that's okay. The game is too good and it's worth it.
