## What is Detach?

Detach is a companion app and NFC card that work together to help you manage screen time — in a world built to keep you scrolling.

Everywhere you look, people are heads down, checked out of reality. Plugged into life-cancelling headphones. Mindlessly scrolling endless six-second videos. It was never meant to be this way. Detach is our attempt to do something about it.

HOW IT WORKS
Choose the apps and sites you want to block.
Tap your Detach card on your phone to block them.
Leave the card somewhere out of reach — another room, your car, at home.
When you reach for a blocked app, you're met with a lock screen instead.
To regain access, go get your card and tap it on your phone.

The friction is small. The effect isn't. An hour of mindless scrolling becomes an hour back — for work, for the people you're with, for whatever you actually care about.
