You search the same scenes multiple times looking for the same items. The mystery and characters were kinda superfluous as you just follow the path set for you which was disappointing. The writing was hard to follow, the story did not engage enough with the gameplay. Perhaps some cut scenes with speech bubbles might have made it more interesting. The characters looked great but there was nothing about them that mattered. The game has a colourful fresh look and the mystery theme with suspects was a good idea. It’s virtually all HO with some puzzles on the side that are very (too) simple. Other HO games have some interesting features where you have to assemble something or find a key to open a drawer, but this is pretty straight seek and find. You get to revisit sites with harder clue options which was quite entertaining. The time limits were set at a good level. I thought Fox’s thumbs up after every puzzle could have been a bit varied as he gave the exact same pose for everything. Usually there are a few fireworks if you get gold stars. Also when you finish there is no stats or congrats at the end for you. One thing that was excellent was the ability to buy the game outright and not be rorted out of money for hints etc. I appreciated that.
