Aus meiner Perspektive ist das Wörterbuch ein bisschen besser als Langenscheidts Großwörterbuch... The app icon calls itself “Duetsch”. Even my mobile spell checker corrects it automatically! Doesn’t inspire confidence... ### 1/5 — Good idea, bad app... *2014-06-20, version 1.2* The little you can do looks promising but you can't even access the settings without a broken(!) inApp purchase popping up. The main problem seems to be the smallness of the dictionary. The first three words I looked up as a test were not found: Gobelin, Täfelung, ruchbar. Close matches don't seem to be shown. The options screen crashes. The app is only formatted for the original aspect ratio (not the new taller displays). Finally, the information screen seems to have been translated by machine (this is the least serioua problem). If you have a small German vocabulary, this will probably be useful. On iPhone 4S some word definitions take up to 13 seconds, yes 13, to show up!! this is practically useless. It seems that the delay is proportional to the alphabetical position of the word in their index (e.g., 'arbeiten' is much faster than 'urlaub'). But why?! Is it done by real developers? Lookup speed should not be an issue on such a device over such a simple data structure. 8-/ How can I have my money back? ### 2/5 — Very slow *2011-10-16, version 1.0* This app needs serious improvement in speed. It takes seconds to get search results which is annoying especially when other dictionaries show words as you type them. Not sure if it's worth the money. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement! *2014-01-18, version 1.2* There is a lot I like about this App: word search and Grammar etc. But there are 2 things that need to be corrected: 1) in-app purchases does not work, 2) under info: frequently asked questions etc. The German text is horrible, it seems to me that it was not written by a native German. Was it a literal translation from a computer? Please update because overall this is a great tool! ### 3/5 — Good solid dictionary *2011-12-04, version 1.1* As with Steam Heavy's Wörterbuch, this is based on the Wiktionary definitions, but this one won't crash in iOS 5. It's a great source for conjugation information, and contains many words that you won't find in most other dictionaries. On the downside, it requires a WiFi connection to work.
