## What is devBoard?

devBoard is project tracking for freelancers and small development teams. Boards, epics, releases and time tracking in a native app — without the configuration screen you fill in once and never open again.

WHAT YOU GET

• My Work — assigned items bucketed by when they are due, plus a private to-do list with reminders
• Boards — a card shows its key, title, assignees and one chip. Drag between columns; updates land live
• Epics, tasks and subtasks — three levels, not a filesystem
• Releases and labels — scoped to the project you are in
• Comments, attachments and an activity feed on every item
• Time tracking — start a timer on the card you are already looking at
• Workspaces and roles — owner, admin, member, guest. Another team never sees your board
• Dark mode.

WHO IT IS FOR

Two to ten people who ship software and do not need portfolios, workload heatmaps or an automation builder. If you want forty custom fields before the first card, this is the wrong product.

GETTING STARTED

Create an account with email, make a workspace, invite the rest of the team. The first project comes with a default board.

devBoard is made by App Tube, the same studio as dev.log.

You must be 16 or older. Terms and privacy: https://getdevboard.app/terms and https://getdevboard.app/privacy

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-15

What's new in devBoard 1.0.5

• Emoji reactions on comments: react with a tap instead of writing
• Richer descriptions: a proper text editor for item descriptions, with bold and more.
• Activity calendar: see the days you got work done, and keep your streak going.
• See who's around: Members now shows "Active now" or when someone was last active.
• Members has its own place in the sidebar.
• Redesigned Settings: one section at a time, with clearer navigation.
• GitHub: adding an item's key to an open pull request now links it automatically, and setup is explained step by step.
• Cleaner activity feed: inline timestamps, grouped repeat changes and a simpler comment box.
• Fixed: switching workspaces could briefly show people from the previous workspace.
• Polish across My Work, the board and column editing.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-10-12

A fresh look across the whole app, with clearer layouts and nothing cut off.

My Work can now show every workspace you're in, in one list, with each project's logo and each task's status. Long titles show in full, and your to-dos sit beside your work on wide windows.

Projects show as cards with their logos and board columns. Releases show progress towards shipping, tags show in their own colours, and epics fill the width of the window.

Notifications are grouped by day and show at a glance whether you were assigned, mentioned, or something changed.

The sidebar has a search field at the top, and a task's details are grouped into clear sections.

Export your own data, or a whole workspace, as one file from Settings. Guests can now comment. Only one timer runs at a time, across all your workspaces, and reminders follow your time zone.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-07

Sign in with Google or Apple. Accept a workspace invite from the email. Add tags when you create a task. Notifications now say when a ticket was moved or archived. Phones get a floating navigation bar, and switching workspace leaves the previous project.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-01

Drag a file onto a new item, or onto one that’s already open, to attach it • Subtasks sit directly under their parent • Create another item without filling in the same details again • Add a logo to a workspace or a project • Mention someone with @ • Connect an assistant with an access token, and see pull request status on the item • Statuses are grouped into clearer columns

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-29

A new look across the app: clearer type, calmer screens, the same board.
Notifications when someone assigns you or changes a task.
Share a task. The link opens that item.
Attach files to a task.
Set the name teammates see when you invite them or assign a task.
To-do reminders on your phone
