Perfect being this is also my favorite and main deck. I love all the options for different types of readings and the diverse spreads available. Hands down by far, in my experience, it the Deviant Moon deck. Cards are vivid and insurgent. Descriptions of the art and meanings are simple, concise rooted in enough tradition to be easily comprehended by a novice yet fluid enough to become a marvelous window for the adept. But it’s the interpretive reading provided from the Full Moon spread that makes this deck so luminous. From 1 o 10 each card is described and provides a narrative into the next. Both upright and reverse meanings are given. I love that I can zoom in on Patrick’s stunning artwork (Ace of Cups...wow, just wow.) And I was pleasantly surprised to see that we can choose bordered or borderless cards. (I’m a diehard border fan.) The functionality of the app is much like other apps by Fool’s Dog, which is a good thing as they make highly usable apps. So happy this was finally released. 💜 ### 5/5 — A welcome surprise. *2017-11-25, version 2.1.1* I am really impressed with the quality of this application. I am an owner of the original border less deck and am now extremely happy with this release in app form. Worth every penny and more. A great way for beginners to understand the layout and meanings of cards. It is simple, intuitive and a great way to practice no matter where you are. Now you can get more personal and gain confidence in yours or other people’s readings. Thank you for everyone involved who made this, best Tarot app on the market, also most unique as it is a piece of brilliant art. I recommend this and give it 10 stars. It's easy to use, has so many choices for card spreads, and I love seeing the Deviant Moon images in high definition. If you enjoy Tarot, this is absolutely worth your time and money. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Loved Fools Dog Until... *2018-01-22, version 2.1.1* The journal function no longer works for any of my Fools Dog apps. I have over 10 of your apps, so over 10x the disappointment. Not buying any more of your apps. :-/ Waited forever for the app for this deck, now I have it and useless. Thanks for the disappointment, Fools Dog! You're awesome! ### 1/5 — Ugliest deck ever! *2017-12-27, version 2.1.1* I have about 80 decks, none of them are as ugly as this one. I find impossible to read because I am so repulsed by the card images. Also they don't give you much more explanation of the cards than key words. I like a bit more in order to understand why a card looks a certain way. Don't waste your money. These are hideous! ### 1/5 — Now wants you to pay twice for iPad and iPhone *2017-11-28, version 2.1.1* Although reported to support they tell me its my error but using same account to purchase and will not let me download to iPhone after purchasing on iPad without paying again. ### 3/5 — App works well, but a word of caution about the deck... *2023-09-09* If you struggle with your mental health, then this deck is probably not the deck for you! It has a darker, more pessimistic view on things (which I've been told is to help with shallow work). And that view can hit you hard if you're not in a healthy headspace, or if your life is surrounded by the shadowy themes of life. I'm VERY GLAD I bought this app rather than the actual physical deck (like I had been planning), because I would have wasted a lot more of my money! I'm glad to support the developer of this app though, as I like their apps and the app isn't very expensive. ### 4/5 — Interesting *2018-01-04, version 2.1.1* I have the tarot cards and book which are fantastic. This app isant quite as good as the real thing and obviously when I draw a card I wonder if I would’ve had that card holding my tarot cards so in that respect I prefer my cards. But this is fun and the pictures are gorgeous ### 5/5 — Great Simple App *2024-06-05, version 2.1.6* This app is great for everyone. It is so easy to use and gives you a abundance of information. Whether you’re new to the cards or you have used them forever you will like this app. The deck is one of my favorites. Patrick Valenza did an excellent job of finding the essence of each card within his illustrations. The app is enjoyable for a quick reading, or useful for a daily divination. This app is also a useful tool to learn the meanings of the cards themselves. I looked at videos to see the imagery on YouTube and loved it. The physical copy is around 25 dollars compared to the apps 3.99. So I wasn’t sure if I should put up the money for the physical copy, in case I didn’t like it as I thought (because I have done that before). Since getting the app I’ve been doing tarot more then ever! I am absolutely getting the physical deck now. My phone like many is day to day usage, which makes this so convenient. You can’t just put a whole tarot deck in your pocket and do spreads in a car. The notes section makes this even better. Letting me express the meaning of the spread to look back on later, without going over each card again in great detail. This app has provided more then just a test to see if I liked this deck. I have recommended to all my friends to look through this or other decks, to see if they find one they love so they can use tarot wherever. Or use as a test deck like I did myself. If you love tarot and want a faster easier way to do it or wish to do it on the go. 10/10 recommended to buy one, this one or another! Don’t be like that one guy on here who gave this deck a 1 star because he didn’t like the way it looked. Now that was 100 his fault not the devs or maker of the deck. ### 5/5 — Just as lovely as the deck *2020-12-20, version 2.1.6* I’ve had the deck for several years and it’s always been one of my favorites. I found this app on a whim one night when I couldn’t sleep (yay cancer insomnia) and immediately knew I needed it. Going through treatment this last year has been rough... I found myself almost afraid of reading for myself, only doing them before the next stage of treatment. This app reminds me not to be afraid, it gives me a focus for the day and helps me to mitigate events better.
