### 2/5 — Stuck in Settings?

*2026-08-05*

I downloaded the app, completed the intro quiz, and then got stuck on the setting page somehow. Someone needs to devmaxx their UX skills…

### 2/5 — Bad UI

*2026-08-01*

need to make the flow of drag and drop and selection better

### 2/5 — Good content, misleading marketing

*2026-07-22*

I appreciated the content in the initial quiz to find the plan that best works for you. However, I don’t appreciate the marketing around this to be “LeetCode combined with DuoLingo” when both of those services are free and yours has a paywall.

### 1/5 — $8/mo for vibecoded content

*2026-07-12*

The app’s interface & content feel very vibe coded. Lots of prose that is in an AI tone, & many terms that appear once & never again. For this price, I expect something with stronger pedagogy & scaffolding. Also many things are tiny and hard to read.

### 2/5 — Stuck in the setting menu - bug or intentional?

*2026-07-12*

I was really excited to download the app after seeing it on social media, and the intro quiz experience was well done. After completing it, I was immediately overwhelmed with upselling menus and now I am locked at the “Settings” menu until I pay. Is this a bug or is this intentional? It’s not clear either way, it’s a disappointing experience for someone who just downloaded the app 30s earlier.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-06-26*

If you don’t pay you cant even use the app, at least you should be informed before signing up, had to delete the app.

### 1/5 — Poor design means you don’t get out of the initial test

*2026-06-22*

Several of the questions depend on a drag and drop re-order design that doesn’t work and just leads to frustration to use the app. This should have easily been caught in testing.

### 1/5 — Just the average grift

*2026-06-15*

You can literally build the same exact thing yourself, using AI and ironically enough learn the concepts better than a bunch of multiple choice questions that you have to pay 8$ a month for, dont waste your time or money on this

### 1/5 — Payment Not Working

*2026-06-13*

Paid annual subscription but said I wasn’t subscribed… can’t access any content

### 2/5 — Price is too high

*2026-06-12*

I am an Indian fresher who is looking for a job where system design should be known to get jobs. I really admire this creator and this app but paying this wholesome amount monthly is difficult for Indian fresher especially unemployed like me to access these resources. My suggestion is cut the subscription wages to 100 to 200 rupees for Indians monthly as it will significantly increase the no of users from India :)

### 1/5 — Disappointed in Arjay

*2026-06-11*

Ridiculous that the app is literally unusable unless you pay for the subscription. Was hoping for more from one of my favorite SWE influencers.

### 1/5 — No Free Tier

*2026-05-30*

I'm disappointed that there is 0 available functionality if you're not a paid subscriber

### 2/5 — Lack of flexibility

*2026-05-27*

The app feels straight forward but it’s better if you allow people to explore the app it feels like a survey or what please allow us to choose dark mode i was hit like flash

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Zero features behind a paywall

*2026-08-12, version 3.1*

Clickbait TikTok content creator so called ex FAANG after internship trying to monetize. Nice try

### 1/5 — Misleading Marketing

*2026-08-11, version 3.1*

I appreciate what the Devs are trying to accomplish but lead with using the app requires purchasing a subscription.

### 1/5 — Nonexistent Free Tier

*2026-08-10*

There isn’t an available free tier. Everything is hidden behind a subscription that was not advertised as a part of the developer/creator’s various videos. The introductory quiz was well made and had a lot of potential.

### 1/5 — Stuck on settings

*2026-08-07*

Absolute garbage for trapping a person on settings page till one subscribes. This kind of Holding hostage behavior is cheap and trashy. At least do a freemium tier to let people get used to the app then let em decide if they want to pay or not.

### 1/5 — Leetcode and Duolingo are both free

*2026-08-03*

Misleading ads. Wasted 10 minutes on this app, nothing is free. Nothing at all. As a broke college student, no thanks.

### 1/5 — Forced to pay

*2026-07-19*

No free tier. Take you on a tour and give sample questions just to block you until you subscribe. I get they need to make money but no free tier to experiment if it’s worth subscribing is disappointing

### 1/5 — Freemium but in reality it’s paid

*2026-07-16*

This app is a paid app disguised as free. You can’t access any functionality (not even the daily question) without paying. Arguably false advertising

### 1/5 — No free tier

*2026-07-16*

While I understand it took a-lot of effort to create these questions and even develop the app, I feel like charging a subscription to access the basic necessities of it seems rather harsh. I assumed that the premium tier would allow you to take more complex questions or practice concepts that are common for larger companies. A free tier seems warranted maybe you’re only allowed one basic question a day or something and not allowed any of the forums, discords, or analytics.

### 1/5 — Disappointed in no free tier

*2026-07-14, version 3.0*

Why am I only told AFTER making an account and doing a questionnaire that there is no free tier

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-07-12*

It showed something can be done and after creating the account it is just stock on settings page and keeps asking for money. Bro at least let us use the app first.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I love it so far

*2026-08-12, version 3.1*

Love it

### 5/5 — Dark mode please

*2026-06-23*

Amazing material, could use a dark mode though

### 5/5 — been watching the CEO's videos for quite a great some time.he's honestly the best

*2026-06-18*

Love the app man ,
providing constant value as always

### 5/5 — Good start

*2026-05-25*

Coming from his social media - app is actually quite entertaining and was looking for something similar to duo lingo but for tech !

### 5/5 — Really great for Junior Engineers and CS majors

*2026-05-23*

The app is really good if you’re trying to learn system designs way ahead of entering the job market, or if you’re already a junior engineer trying to level up. I’m currently trying to switch careers into engineering and it’s been helping me learn as much as possible about system designs.

### 5/5 — It’s amazing

*2026-04-25, version 1.4*

I’ve been following Arjay and his system design outlets on YouTube and instagram and now I have an app that helps me understand system design more instead of doom scrolling and actually learning is great. I’m grateful to use my system design, computer architecture and operating, network system knowledge in practice so I’m prepared on the go for technical system design interview. Thank you Arjay!

### 4/5 — Dark mode pllsss

*2026-07-04*

I like the app thank you !

### 4/5 — Great with one issue

*2026-06-09*

overall really great and helpful app. My one complaint is that the titles of the questions generally answer the question. You match the title with the option that has that phrase or name in it and it’s correct ~80% of the time.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback!

I'm worked on this and it will not be an issue going forward.

### 3/5 — Paywalled - free tier is a settings page

*2026-06-21*

Stoked on the app concept and was excited to explore. After completing the tour and initial questions, the app is completely paywalled after registering. You can only modify settings, nothing else.

Let me know when this is addressed - no interest in ranking your rating artificially.

### 3/5 — Loved the app but no free tier

*2026-05-21*

I really liked the ques and the interface but if i opted out of the paid plan then the screen was stuck on “settings” page and there was no way to access the content even after refreshing. I would appreciate a free tier with something like 3 daily questions and 5 lessons so that anyone could get started
